With the conclusion of the Italian Super Cup, Serie A entered its winter break. Udinese players went home to spend Christmas with their families. Bruno also planned to visit Portugal to celebrate Christmas with his family, but before that, he detoured to Dubai, next to Qatar.
Vanessa had traveled with Udinese fans to the Middle East for the Italian Super Cup, and the couple planned to enjoy a brief holiday in this exotic land. Vanessa had already booked an executive suite at the famous Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai. Bruno, though not extremely wealthy yet, was financially comfortable. Vanessa, while not earning as much as she used to, was still quite well-off. Naturally, they wanted to experience the luxury of the world-renowned Burj Al Arab.
After returning to the hotel with the team, Bruno did not stay there but informed Guidolin and left for Dubai that night. Upon entering the Burj Al Arab, Bruno noticed a young woman checking in at the front desk. She seemed to want a presidential suite but was told by the receptionist that only executive suites were available. The woman threw a tantrum but eventually accepted it.
Bruno, slightly impatient, waited for her to finish. After she received her key card and headed to the elevator, Bruno approached the receptionist and asked, "Which room is Miss Haisler in?"
"Please wait a moment," the receptionist replied, checking the computer. "Room 2605, sir."
"Thank you," Bruno said, heading to the elevator. He hadn't told Vanessa he would arrive that night, planning to surprise her. As he reached the elevator, the young Arab woman was already there, on the phone, speaking in English.
"Daddy, the presidential suite is not available. Now I have to stay in an executive suite. It's so annoying," she said, glancing at Bruno before continuing her call.
"Presidential suite?" Bruno thought, shaking his head. The girl seemed spoiled and picky. She wore branded clothes and was fashionably dressed, but she didn't interest Bruno. The elevator arrived, and Bruno entered first.
"Okay, the elevator is here. I'll call you back, Daddy," the girl said, ending her call and entering the elevator. Bruno pressed the button for the 26th floor and politely asked, "Which floor, miss?"
"Oh, thanks. The 26th floor," she replied without looking up, putting her phone in her bag.
Bruno found it curious that she was headed to the same floor. As she searched her bag, Bruno saw her take out a small mirror to inspect her face. Up close, he noticed she had a few pimples. Despite this, she was quite pretty, but Bruno was uninterested.
"You're going to the 26th floor too?" she asked in surprise, finally noticing him. She spoke English and took a good look at Bruno, realizing he was quite handsome.
Bruno smiled but said nothing, which annoyed her slightly. However, since they were strangers, she couldn't show her irritation. The elevator reached their floor, and Bruno held the door for her, showing his gentlemanly manners. She appreciated it but still felt slightly miffed. The girl walked out, and Bruno followed, finding room 2605. Coincidentally, the girl stopped at the room next to Vanessa's.
Bruno knocked on the door and stood smiling at the peephole, confident of surprising Vanessa. The girl next door curiously watched, wondering why a man would be there so late at night. She began to suspect his intentions.
Soon, the door opened, and a woman in a nightgown rushed out, embracing Bruno. "Bruno, you're here! Am I dreaming?" she exclaimed.
"Did you miss me, my darling?" Bruno responded, his affectionate words making the girl next door cringe. She started to believe Bruno might be a gigolo due to the age difference between him and Vanessa. Disappointed, she muttered, "Such a shame, such a handsome man, but he's just a gigolo," and entered her room, slamming the door.
Vanessa, realizing they had been seen, blushed with embarrassment. Bruno reassured her, "It's just an irrelevant person. Don't worry about it." He then lifted Vanessa and carried her inside, kicking the door closed behind them.
Vanessa, breathing heavily with a flushed face, asked, "Why did you come tonight? Aren't you celebrating with the team?"
Bruno just smiled, making Vanessa feel even more self-conscious. She tried to free herself, but Bruno held her tight. "What celebration could be better than being with my Vanessa? Isn't it time for you to repay me?" he teased.
"Everything I have is already yours," Vanessa replied shyly, making Bruno's heart flutter. He carried her to the bed, and Vanessa's heart raced, her body trembling with anticipation.
Vanessa, aware of Bruno's intentions, was no longer worried about their relationship being exposed. Her father, a billionaire with significant influence in America, had resolved the issues that once threatened her career.
Having reconciled with her father, Vanessa felt free to love Bruno openly. She was thrilled that he had chosen to spend the night with her instead of celebrating elsewhere. Overwhelmed with happiness, Vanessa was eager to be with Bruno.
