TANYA'S POV 

Alpha Horus gave a nod while still having his arm around my shoulders. "Sure thing, Tanya. "Come on, let's go."

Upon entering the pack house, I understood that I needed to continue participating in the game. I had to continue manipulating, continue scheming, in order to stay ahead of the group.

I was prepared to do anything necessary to emerge victorious.

Entering the pack house, I sensed the gazes of the rest of the pack on us. Everyone was curious about the situation, questioning why Alpha Horus had his arm draped over my shoulders.

I grinned with a chilly, analytical heart. I understood their thoughts perfectly. They were speculating whether I was the fresh beta, if I was the one set to assume Ryker's role.

However, I had no intention of being beta. I was intrigued by something on a larger scale. I was intrigued by the idea of being the leader.
