Chapter 4: Chapter 4-[HUMUNGOUSAUR!!!!]
Looking at the so-called Professor Paradox without completely lowering my guard, I understood a little of what he had last told me.
"Ok... I believe that about the different universes, I already had an encounter with..." before finishing he interrupted me.
"With Verdona and her granddaughter Sunny, I do know" ok that was a bit awkward "If I'm right, you knew them long before the primary user of the Omnitrix" That made me curious.
"Primary User? What do you mean by that exactly?" Without answering me he put his hand in his coat which made me alert while he took out a paper bag.
"Calm down, I won't do anything to you." Putting his hand in the bag, he offered me its contents. "Chewing gum, do you want any?" Blinking I slowly shook my head.
"Well as you wish, now to answer your question, in most of the universes that I visit the Omnitrix has a user in common, Ben Tennyson" I could recognize the last name.
"Tennyson? That's the last name Verdona allowed me to use" Smiling, Paradox took another piece of gum.
"That's right! You and him share a lot of things in common, but that's a story for another day." His lack of interest in the topic was strange.
"Well, I have to hurry up, today I just came to introduce myself and tell you a little about the Omnitrix, but time is running out, I just want to know one thing," becoming serious for the first time, he continued "If at some point the universes need your help, can I count on you?"
Knowing that it could be a trap, he wanted to deny him, but if who he said he was was real, he could condemn many universes.
"Yes...but only if you tell me everything I need to know later," Paradox smiled and answered me.
"Of course, when the time is right I will tell you everything! Now with your permission I must be somewhere else, rest" and in the blink of an eye, he disappeared as if he had never been in my house.
"Ok...this was strange" Deciding that what I had seen could wait, I just walked towards my bed to rest as I deserved it.

Days later…

"You're telling me that apart from that Mongul person you met a few days ago, there are more beings capable of facing Superman!" Said Lantern as he carried me in a bubble towards Central City.
"Yes, there are several and I even know one who surpasses him" Having taken the call about a theft of radioactive isotopes in the Watchtower we were flying quite fast.
"Wait...you mean that guy called Darkseid!" getting a surprised look I continued "I read a little about Superman, Batman, and the Flash."
"And what did you discover about Darkseid?" Remembering, I told him what I knew.
"Well...he attacked the planet a while ago, Superman stopped him, but then Superman joined him to attack the earth again" Lantern didn't speak until a few minutes had passed.
"Darkseid is a tyrannical conqueror, he destroys planets at his pleasure, and the earth is safe thanks to Superman... but it's true, they joined together, but as I understand it it was from mind control" That left me thinking.
As we approached the city bridge a series of explosions startled me from my thoughts.
"There seems to be trouble!" Looking at the Omnitrix I chose Heatblast before speaking with Lantern.
"Let me out! I have it covered!" Looking at me for a second the bubble disappeared allowing me to fall.
I quickly pressed the plate, transforming in a flash, using my new arms I fired two streams of fire, propelling me through the air to reach the bridge where Lantern was already waiting.
As I approached, I noticed how he stopped a truck before it fell into the sea. I, for my part, landed on the bridge near a small fire to put it out with a movement of my hand.
Walking towards Lantern and Flash I noticed how they seemed to be interrogating the passengers of the truck.
"Professor Arthur Ching and Doctor Mark Steven from the Robert Blo's Research Center," having heard that last part, I couldn't help but interrupt Lantern.
"Isn't that the place where the Isotopes were stolen?" Having gotten close enough I returned to my human form "That's strange."
"And I feel bad for taking clips from the watchtower" Waving slightly to Flash I looked at Lantern.
"Let's try to get to the bottom of this" Lifting the truck, the men, and me "First let's take this to the police station where you gentlemen will stay until we solve it."
Minutes later we were flying towards the city.
An hour later the three of us were in the research building where the isotopes had been stolen.
"I'm sorry, I can't explain their behavior" While Lantern was talking to the woman in charge about the thieves I was attentive as I looked at the laboratory next to Flash "They are both respected experts in their fields."
"They don't fit the profile of the thief" As I followed them listening I noticed a gorilla in a cage.
"Frankly, they have been under a lot of stress to finish their current project." Getting a little closer, I noticed how he was following me with his eyes very attentively, which surprised me a little.
Slightly noticing Flash walking towards the smaller monkeys, I looked very curiously at the gorilla.
"Maybe they just collapsed from the pressure, I would like to be able to help you more but the truth is I'm as surprised as you are" Looking slightly at Lantern I noticed how the woman took the file from him when he asked her what the thieves were working on.
"I'm afraid it's classified information." Listening to some footsteps, I noticed how Flash came to my side eating a banana.
"Do you want one?!" As soon as Flash attempted to put his hand in, I stopped him, angry at his lack of care.
"What's wrong with you! How could you put your hand near an animal with the strength to break it?...besides, gorillas don't eat bananas." The gorilla moved, looking at Flash, annoyed, but not as much as the woman who furiously walked to take away the fruit
"Hey!" Looking at the woman we both saw how she pointed to the sign about not feeding the animals.
"If you allow me, I have work to do" Turning around she began to leave so the three of us also left.
"Seriously Flash, you don't think before you act" he surprisingly took a moment before answering.
"No! No, I don't!" His response only made me sigh.
"Well let's forget that, let's go to the city I have something important to do!" Following him as he ran Lantern carried me in a bubble.
Minutes later I couldn't believe it as I waited with Lantern for Flash to receive the Hot Dogs he had ordered at a park.
"Do you want to hurry up! We're supposed to be doing an investigation" Listening to Lantern's irritation I knew I wasn't the only one upset.
"I'm sorry I can't, I have a super fast metabolism" Looking at the food cart he continued "Besides it's just a sandwich" In his hand were quite a few Hot Dogs to our surprise.
The sound of a siren caught our attention so we turned around as a patrol arrived quickly.
Then some people ran past while a man shouted "Everyone quickly run, there's a gorilla loose! Run away!"
"I'll take care of it" Listening to Flash I watched as he placed the food in Lantern's hands before running.
"Wait, we'll go with you...!" Looking at the food in his hands, he sighed before leaving it in the cart ready to fly while I transformed into Four Arms to take off in a jump.
Taking a few jumps, I reached the entrance of the park, meeting several police officers who were a little surprised to see me.
"Good afternoon, I'm here to help with the gorilla" the policewoman in charge responded to me a moment after getting out of her surprise.
"Thank you…Omnaz correct?" I nodded "The specimen appears to be an adult male gorilla with gray hair, at the moment there are no attacks but we cannot trust it."
"I understand officer, I will search the most populated part of the park, with your permission." Saying goodbye to the officers, I began to look for the animal while I jumped around the park.
Several minutes later I arrived at a playground where some police officers were talking on the radio, which they stopped when they saw me.
An officer approached me quickly "Omnaz, the gorilla escaped in a car" When he noticed my four eyes looking at him in disbelief he continued "Yes, it sounds crazy but it happened, an officer noticed how Flash was chasing him, they were heading north."
"Four Arms!" Looking into the air I noticed an annoying Lantern "Where's Flash?" Thanking the officer I walked towards the Lantern.
"It seems that he chased the gorilla which escaped in a car" Noticing his look of disbelief I continued "Let's go, after what we have seen it doesn't sound so crazy, they went north."
"Well...Do you want me to take you or do you want to go alone" Smiling, I didn't respond as I took a big leap and landed a few streets ahead.
After several jumps, I arrived at the scene of an accident where Lantern was waiting for me with an officer.
"According to this officer, Flash stopped the car" A gray convertible was upside down so he fixed it while listening to him "However something happened, a lightning bolt hit him, and after a few seconds he got up and left while the gorilla did the same "
"So we have a gorilla and Flash missing," looking at Lantern, he answered.
"Yes, and we must find them quickly, let's separate and search the city," nodding, I noticed how he flew away while I jumped from the place.

A few hours later...

Resting on top of a building after searching for Flash without finding him, Lantern called me on my communicator.
"I found Flash, he is at the police station in the south of the city, he's been charged with theft, see you there" Finishing the call I transformed into XLR8 leaving the place quickly.
A few minutes later I was at the station when Lantern and Flash left it.
"Thank you for helping me," amused, I noticed how Lantern hit him on the back of the head in annoyance.
"Hey!" Ignoring him, Lantern walked until he reached my side and spoke.
"What were you thinking?" fun to listen to the conversation.
"I wasn't thinking about anything!" I couldn't help but comment when I heard that.
"-What a surprise-" offended Flash continued.
"If I wanted an interrogation I would have stayed in there, as I told them I don't remember anything" Walking next to Flash I spoke.
"Well, what's the last thing you remember?" Flash looked at me before speaking.
"Let's see, after I caught the gorilla, he told me to let him go," Flash noted that there was no surprise from the fact that the gorilla spoke so explained to him.
"I told Lantern that after what we've seen it's not so crazy." Surprised, he looked at Lantern who spoke.
"We'll investigate" Turning to look at Flash he pointed out "But this time together" Smiling Flash nodded while I just closed my visor.
As we moved Lantern decided to search the park where the gorilla had last been seen.
As soon as we arrived we found the place covered in police tape.
Lantern started looking for clues using his ring while I returned to my human form so I could change it into something else if necessary.
"There's something here" Following its light I saw some gorilla footprints on the ground which headed towards the park tunnel.
Walking, the three of us began to approach the tunnel alertly, as soon as we entered, Lantern illuminated the place, leaving the gorilla in sight, which tried to attack, ending up being attacked by a Lantern beam.
Following it I was quite surprised to hear that the gorilla was talking.
"Was that really necessary?" Lantern was just as surprised.
"You speak, who are you?" while we watched the continuum rise.
"My name is Solovar, I am head of security for Gorilla City" That was even more surprising.
"There is... a city of gorillas just as smart as you" Solovar answered me while he looked at me.
"Yes, some more than others, that's the reason I'm here." While briefly telling us the history of his city, he reached the key point: "Grodd fled to this world to carry out his threats to the city."
"That would explain the thefts of the isotopes along with Flash's memory loss," Solovar continued.
"He needs those isotopes to power his machine" That was very worrying "My investigation showed that Grodd contacted this scientist" Showing some papers to Lantern we noticed a photo of the woman from the scene of the robbery.
"Let's call the others" Flash dismissed the idea of Lantern offending the gorilla in front of us.
"Because you think we can't fight a dumb gorilla...no offense" Letting out a sigh I try to make him change his mind.
"We don't know what he is capable of Flash, we have to be careful" huffing Flash ran away from the park while Solovar tried to stop him.
"Wait before I must…!" looking at us he continued "He's very fast."
Sighing, I answered, "Yes, continue what you were going to say." Taking out a ring from the box, he continued.
"These metal rings will protect us from Grodd's lightning bolt," each of us taking one of them and putting them on our heads.
"Let's go before he gets into trouble" Taking off Lantern surrounded us to take us to the center.
Several minutes later we arrived at the place at the same time that the gorilla he had seen in the afternoon was next to a downed Flash.
"Don't move, Grodd," pointing his gun at him. Solovar entered cautiously while I prepared to transform.
"Solovar, it was reckless to come here," smiling, Grodd did not seem worried.
"You can't control us while we have these" While he moved a little towards the darkness of the place I heard Grodd.
"Actually I wasn't planning on controlling you" Looking at him I noticed how the light on his helmet lit up while he looked at Flash who stood up with an annoyed look "Destroy them!"
Because of his speed, Solovar couldn't dodge Flash's blow that sent him flying while I touched the Omnitrix.
"I should have thought of it" Listening to Lantern I watched slightly as he was attacked by Flash, returning to the Omnitrix I noticed a new silhouette that looked like a crab so I risked it and chose it.
The green flash caught Grodd's attention as my new form came into view, now it was a gigantic orange crustacean, with a head of enormous proportions that took up much of my body.
"What creature are you?" For some reason, the contempt in Grodd's voice amused me instead of bothering me.
"My primate friend, I am Brainstorm and I must notify you that your contempt is funny." He looked annoyed at Flash who stopped attacking Lantern to attack me while Grodd left accompanied by the doctor.
Flash ran towards me intending to hit me, opening the top of my skull, energy rays created a force field that hurt Flash as he was sent flying.
"What did you do?" Looking at Lantern I removed the field before speaking.
"A small force field made of electricity, nothing that will permanently damage Flash" and sure enough Flash got up to attack Lantern again with things while he tried to stop him without success until he knocked him out with one blow.
While Lantern was checking on Flash he noticed how Solovar stood up "Where's Grodd?" Looking at the door where the gorilla had left, I pointed my pincers at it.
"They went that way, my primate friend, we better move" While he was walking I heard how Solovar followed me while he murmured about him being me.
When we arrived, Solovar tried to stop them with his gun, however they were protected.
"Excuse me for leaving so quickly, but I have to destroy a city." As he left, I noticed how Grodd pressed a button on a control, causing his machine to go into action.
Thanks to my new intelligence I noticed how the machine worked so I did nothing while Lantern tried to stop the energy dome that he believed was consuming everything.
"Fascinating technology..." a moment later the energy dome swallowed us.

Minutes later…

"-Interesting job for a gorilla-" while I was inspecting Grodd's technology I heard how Lantern and Solovar began to wake up after being knocked out by the energy.
"We're still fine" Listening to Lantern's comment I couldn't help but speak.
"Of course we're fine, Grodd's machine doesn't work as a weapon" Turning around I noticed how Lantern helped Flash who was beginning to wake up.
"What do you mean and by the way, who are you?" Listening to Solovar's questions, I looked at him.
"My primate friend, I was able to discover the function of Grodd's machine with a glance, it's nothing out of this world, and as for me... well I'm the most brilliant mind on this planet at the moment" Solovar couldn't ask me any more questions as Lantern spoke up.
"Can you tell me if the mind control is still active" Listening to Lantern the gorilla walked towards Flash to put his inhibitor ring on him.
A moment later a confused Flash woke up, when he noticed us seeing him he realized that he had been mentally manipulated by Grodd.
"Well I got lost" While Lantern was helping Flash, he became upset when he learned of Grodd's escape.
"If you reproach me," Ignoring him, Lantern tried to call for reinforcements, something useless.
"Don't waste your time, Grodd's machine does not allow communication to be possible" After saying that I walked towards the hole in the wall of the building while pointing to the sky "Look" as soon as they saw it I continued.
"For some reason, Grodd created a shield around the city and if what I remember from Solovar's history is the same as the one from Gorilla City" Solovar agreed with me as we left the building.
"Nothing goes in and nothing comes out, unless I deactivate the generator" Seeing that Lantern started to walk toward the generator I stopped him.
"Correct but a waste of time, the generator has a shield that will protect it from any attack, I can deactivate it but the time lost in doing so can be used wisely by Grodd" Solovar was the first to accept the truth.
"He's right, the best thing we can do is find Grodd" Lantern and Flash decided to follow Solovar as we left the place.

Minutes later, Central City…

As we walked through the city Flash was the first to notice how lonely everything looked.
However, a few seconds later we discovered where all the inhabitants were when we heard their voices.
Following the noise we found people gathered while listening to a speech by Grodd.
And it was obvious from the dumb acceptance of the people who were already under the gorilla's control.
As his speech continued, Flash couldn't help but comment out loud his displeasure causing Grodd to discover our presence.
"Intruders, destroy them!" Grodd's order was quickly obeyed as they began to surround us.
"As always, your quick mouth creating problems" Opening the protection of my brain I launched waves of electricity at the people close to me, which resulted in them falling asleep.
While the others protected themselves with the help of the Lantern, I began to walk, leaving the people asleep. A moment later I noticed how Flash took Solovar away from the place, so I slowly began to follow them.
As soon as I reached them, Solovar was the first to ask me how I had managed to put people to sleep.
"That's simple, unlike Grodd I don't need a helmet to control minds, so I simply ordered them to sleep" That greatly surprised Solovar, Lantern, and Flash.
"Any sign of Grodd" Lantern asked me although I knew that the talk was not over.
"He ran away, but if he uses his rocket again we can follow his trail" Minutes later Lantern was in charge of taking me and Solovar while Flash followed us.
Our destination turned out to be a military base where the guards were already under Grodd's control.
When we started to enter we heard an alarm and according to Lantern's words, it was a launch signal.
A moment later four missiles were fired at high speed from the base.
"I'm going to stop them, you guys take care of Grodd!" as we watched him leave Flash wondered how we would do that.
Minutes after clearing the way, the three of us found ourselves arriving at the control room where the doctor and Grodd had just discovered the destruction of one of the missiles.
"What's happening?!" Flash decided to answer Grodd.
"You want to know, I think my friend had something to do with it" Our presence didn't seem to worry him much.
Taking out the gun Solovar spoke "Grodd you are under arrest for crimes against Gorilla City" Getting up from his seat Grodd spoke.
"In five minutes Gorilla City will not exist!" A moment later another missile was deactivated much to Grodd's anger.
"It's all over, Grodd." Annoyed, Grodd attacked Solovar, ramming him.
"I'm not going to lose to someone like you" While I was analyzing the situation Flash jumped on Grodd to start playing with his helmet at high speed.
While Flash was playing tag with Grodd, the doctor informed the primate of the deactivation of all the missiles, much to Grodd's complete anger.
"I will tear them limb from limb!" Running towards Flash, he easily avoided it, causing Grodd to collide with one of the screens in the place.
However, when Flash proposed the idea of both of them taking off their helmet and bands respectively, I decided to intervene as did Solovar.
"Flash stop wasting time with stupid ideas and finish the fight!" Unfortunately Flash didn't listen to us while he pulled the band off of him and while Grodd was smiling confidently that's when I noticed it.
The helmet had a small difference, which completely changed its functionality and Grodd hadn't noticed.
"The world will miss your brilliant intellect, goodbye Flash" Grodd touched the sides of his helmet and activated it, causing it to begin to fry his brain, leaving him catatonic.
"Interesting result with just a wire crossing" My words surprised both the doctor and Solovar while Flash gave me a high five.
The only thing I did was lift my clamp which embarrassed him.

Sometime later, Gorilla City…

After deactivating the city's shield, Solovar took us to his city so that Grodd was held captive, and while in Brainstorm form I did appreciate Grodd's technology, in my human form it was not the same.
"I'm sorry for misjudging you, we can never repay you for what you've done" while a one-eyed Gorilla thanked us. Solovar showed us Grodd's fate.
Due to the crossing of cables, his mind had been destroyed, leaving him a gorilla that could only drool.

Watchtower, A few weeks later…

While I was on my shift at the watchtower, Diana arrived asking for help while she was carrying a sick Superman. As soon as possible we took him to the infirmary where J'onn began to check on him.
"His condition continues to worsen" Superman's body was full of gray spots while his veins stood out.
"But he's invulnerable, what could this have done to him?" Stopping analyzing him, J'onn spoke.
"Unfortunately there isn't much data on Kryptonian physiology, I will do everything in my power to help you." Noticing that Diana was worried about something else, I decided to ask how Superman had ended up like this.
"Diana, what exactly happened before you found Superman?" She hesitated for a moment but told me about the Amazon that she had seen and that she was responsible for Superman's condition.
A moment later, an alert notified us of Lantern's arrival, so we quickly went to meet him in case he knew anything else.
However, as soon as we saw him, we noticed that Flash was being carried by him.
"We need help" Reaching Flash we noticed him sweating.
"What happened?" Lantern told us that he had just fainted which had brought him to the Watchtower and a moment later he too fell while he was sweating just like Flash.
"Quickly Diana, we have to take them to J'onn" As a precaution I transformed into Four Arms while I carried Lantern to take him to the infirmary.
As soon as J'onn saw them he began to examine them while Diana asked me to accompany her.
"We must find Batman, we will need his help" As soon as we enter her Jet I return to my human form.
Minutes later we found ourselves in the city of Metropolis which was on fire, thanks to the ship's tracker we were able to find Batman quickly.
"Batman!" While Diana let me go, she spoke to him "You were right, the person responsible is a renegade Amazon." Batman surprised us by saying that he knew.
"I couldn't believe that one of my sisters was capable of" a bus interrupted her as it crashed where the three of us were seconds before.
Batman was the first to go after it while Diana followed him, transforming into Wildvine I began to swing to reach the truck while Diana saved some women from a giant antenna.
When I reached it, I noticed how I was about to collide with a fire truck, so holding on to a building as tightly as possible, I stretched my arm to hold it, managing to stop it before it collided.
When I came down I found Batman sick in Wonder Woman's arms.
"He also succumbs to the disease." Turning to Batman we saw that the veins covered his entire face.
[T/N: I thought he got immunity to all diseases in the last chapter, maybe it was only all mortal diseases.]
"We must take him to the Watchtower" Taking Batman, Wonder Woman began to fly towards the Jet.

Watchtower, minutes later…

"How is he?" Batman was showing the same symptoms as the others.
"Like the others, however, the disease progresses much more slowly in their system. I think what is affecting them seems to be an allergen, not a virus, but I have not been able to isolate it." That explained why I was not affected.
"I don't understand because you and J'onn are not affected" Listening to Hawkwoman I answered for myself.
"I have a transformation that made me immune to those things for the moment which also explains why the disease progresses slowly in Batman, but I couldn't tell you about J'onn" Wonder Woman looked at me.
"You can create a cure" Unfortunately my answer was no.
"Unfortunately, I would need a sample of the source to create it" That gave Diana the solution.
"Then the solution is to find Aresia" Minutes later we were back on the Jet while J'onn tried to find a cure.
When we arrived in the city to help the people who were putting out the fires or helping the injured, they had all finished their work.
"They were very effective in solving everything" Hawkwoman was right "Why are you smiling" Looking at Diana I noticed her smile.
"It reminds me of my island," Hawkwoman continued speaking.
"Yes, but who would want to live in a world without men?" For some reason, I felt that the conversation was becoming dangerous.
"It's not possible that they are so necessary for your life," smiling, Hawkwoman spoke, looking at me out of the corner of her eye, which made me very nervous.
"Don't talk about what you don't know, princess" ok, the talk was making me very nervous.
"Well...ladies we should look for Aresia, don't you think?" Without waiting for her response I transformed into Heatblast to take off.
Having separated from them, I focused on putting out the small fires I found while looking for some trail that could guide me to Aresia.
However, an explosion alerted me, so flying towards the location I found a burning helicopter falling from a building.
Fortunately, it was stopped by a pink bubble which left it completely extinguished on a roof.
When I arrived I found Wonder Woman and Hawk Woman talking to Star Sapphire who was surprised to see me.
"I thought all the men had gotten sick" Slightly extinguishing my flames I approached.
"You thought wrong" Smiling she looked at Wonder Woman.
"We must stop her soon" A moment later they gave me an explanation.
"We know where Aresia is, let's go" Following them we reach the Jet, and set off for an air base.
As soon as we arrived the three of them flew away while I ran after them, my time was up and I had to wait a little.
When I arrived I found them all fighting, it seemed that Sapphire had led us into a trap.
Seeing that I had a disadvantage, I quickly tried to transform, which I achieved after a few seconds.
The flash of the transformation alerted Sapphire who moved what was covering me, encountering a purple being at which she shot.
The result was her energy being absorbed into my new form.
"I must tell you, Sapphire, that this form is the worst for you" Raising my arms I returned her shot causing her to cover herself with a shield as she was sent flying out of the warehouse.
Following her I found another beam of energy that was absorbed without problems, moving towards her I tried to hit her so she dedicated herself to dodging while shooting at me, and after several shots, I spoke.
"You don't understand, your energy only feeds me" Letting out a growl I lifted a gas tank to throw it at her, raising my hands I shot it in the air causing it to explode and she went flying again.
Looking for her I found her on the ground completely unconscious, however, a moment later a noise caught my attention so I turned around to find the Jet from the warehouse taking off.
Returning to the warehouse, I noticed how Wonder Woman flew towards the Jet while Hawk Woman ran towards me with a bottle in her hand.
"What happened?" While she was telling me what I had missed, we ran to the Jet because the bottle in her hand was what could save all the sick.
Calling the Watchtower J'onn answered us however he did not look healthy.
"The pathogen must have been in Superman's suit when I touched it" A moment later he also fell unconscious from the disease.
"Not J'onn!" Seeing the situation I decided to take a risk.
"Hawk Woman, I'll go to the Watchtower, you go help Diana." Without waiting for a response, I took the bottle with the pathogen and then ran to the exit hatch.
With a jump I left the Jet, floating in the air and a moment later flying at maximum speed towards the watchtower.
It was a matter of seconds for me to arrive, so I flew to the infirmary, finding J'onn sweating on the floor. Helping him, I put him on a bed while I transformed into Wildvine.
"Let's see if this works like it does with plants." Hoping it would work, I downed the pathogen in one gulp.
The effect was immediate, I felt like my own biology was fighting with what I had taken, causing my body to burn from the fight, falling I supported myself with my arms while I felt how little by little the disease was being studied and decomposed.
After what seemed like hours when in reality it had been minutes my back began to create bulbs which were orange in color, taking a breath I began to remove them one by one very carefully.
There were twelve bulbs that my body had created with the cure, having finished my body returned to fight against the disease and a moment later I returned to my human form.
However, I was more worn out than in my alien form, so taking a breath I slowly got up while looking for a syringe to inject the cure into the others.
Fortunately for everyone, the cure was effective in seconds, with J'onn being the first to be cured since he was the unofficial doctor of the Watchtower.
"What...happened to me?" Taking a breath I responded to a still dazed J'onn.
"It's the cure J'onn...I need you to give it to the others...I need to rest" Listening to him pay attention to me I decided to take a well-deserved nap.
When I managed to regain consciousness, I noticed that I was in one of the hospital beds while J'onn was reviewing some data, letting out a sigh I began to get up, drawing his attention.
"Max, I'm glad to see you're awake," He said as he helped me get up.
"How long did I sleep?" regaining full consciousness I looked at him.
"One day, it seems that your body used all the energy it had to create the antidote to the pathogen that had made us sick." Remembering that, I couldn't help but ask about the others.
"They are feeling much better, you cured them completely and it was also supplied to all the hospitals where there were sick people, and the disease was eradicated" That sounded fantastic, however an attack of hunger forced me to look for food.
"Come on J'onn, I need to eat, and tell me what happened with that Amazon that caused all this" Walking together we left the infirmary, both happy that the other was better.

The small house I had built on the island had now been greatly expanded thanks to Bruce's money, wanting to continue the training he had created for me I built myself a training room to achieve this.
In said room, a special bag was receiving different combinations of blows and kicks while I was in my human form.
Since Batman's fight against Ivy I had been impressed by what could be achieved with training and knowing that at any moment I could lose my transformations I decided that it was better to pay more attention to my human form.
Finishing my last combination with a high kick I jumped away from the bag to take a short break to calm my breathing.
"-Well...that...completes...the day-" Having caught my breath I prepared to take a shower, my daily patrol was about to begin.
Finishing my bath I decided to use Batman's last gift, which was a suit made of very resistant material, it had plates that would protect me from attacks on vital places on my body, knowing that my speed was improving he had made it not bulky, and also He had gone to the trouble of putting the Omnitrix symbol on the chest.
An hour later I was patrolling the city as night began to fall. In recent days, some robberies have been reported in the shadow of darkness.
While I saw how little by little the lights of the different places were going out, I couldn't stop thinking about how much my life had changed since the invasion of the white Martians.
I met some interesting people including my fellow Heroes.
Although I had also had the misfortune of knowing some villains.
The sound of the police radio brought me out of my thoughts as they began to call for help.

In a few minutes I arrived to park behind the patrol car that was already there, the police officer who had seen me arrive quickly approached.
"Omnaz, nice to see you here!" Getting off the motorcycle, I greeted him as he began to tell me what he knew "A silent alarm was activated ten minutes ago, as soon as I arrived I tried to contact the dock security but there was no response."
Looking at the fence that protected the dock I decided to enter stealthily since I didn't know what I was facing.
"I understand, thank you officer" Finding an entry route I spoke to him "I'm going in, please wait for your reinforcements, I don't know what could be inside" The somewhat hesitant officer obeyed me.
Taking momentum, I ran towards the fence, jumping at the last second to start climbing it thanks to the momentum gained.
Creating the slightest sound I fell while inspecting what little I could see.
Using the little training I had thanks to Batman I began to enter the docks without letting my guard down, as I walked I could feel someone's gaze on me, however when I tried to find the owner of the gaze I couldn't see anything even with the improved vision of my mask
The first indication that everything was going wrong was when I approached the security offices, although the lights were off I could make out the blood stains that were splashed on the stairs to enter.
Going up to the office I entered slowly, being inside I did not find anybody but more blood which seemed to come out through the side door so I followed it.
Following the alleged trail from the office, I barely had a second to avoid a sword that was about to decapitate me.
Throwing myself forward I launched an upward kick at my attacker which he dodged as he followed me with a jump.
The next attack with the sword I stopped with my forearms, so the weapon caused some sparks when it collided with the metal of the suit that Batman had created for me.
Using the sparks as a distraction I attacked my attacker's chest with another kick, sending him flying away from me, recovering from the fall I turned to look for him only to see him disappear into the darkness.
As soon as my hand went to the Omnitrix I felt another attacker and indeed from both sides, two more guys came out pointing their swords at me.
Forgetting the transformation, I jumped on the one on the left, stopping his sword with my arm and attacking with an elbow to the face that sent him to the ground, however, I had to forget it when I felt how the other's sword was trying to cut me in the back as soon as I was stopped.
Turning around following the movement of the cut, the attacker received a full blow with the plate of my arm which sent him to the ground.
Jumping up I knocked him out with a kick to start transforming when a light turned on, fortunately, my glasses protected me.
Looking around I was a little surprised to see a dozen or so guys with swords who were wearing black masks that I barely noticed.
However, something else caught my attention. On the hands of four subjects were the dock guards. I could notice that they had lacerations that explained the blood that I had seen before.
"Omnaz, resident hero of Jump City, founding member of the Justice League" Looking for the origin of the hollow voice that sounded all over the place I found that it seemed to come from all the subjects.
"I came because my Master believes that you are worth his time, I think otherwise and you showed it to me by barely being able to fight three members of my group" That bothered me since it was true.
"I offer you two options. Die quickly here or die suffering in front of my Master when I show him that you are worthless, choose" Watching the guards lose blood I spoke.
"What will happen to the guards?" Looking around I continued looking for the owner of the voice.
"They already fulfilled their mission, bringing you here, they are no longer useful" A moment later the four guards were beheaded in front of me which generated an emotion that I had not felt before.
Rage
"You killed them, without hesitation" my voice came out with great fury as I gritted my teeth.
"That's right, they were of no use, now your decision" Without looking at anything I touched the Omnitrix to transform "So be it, kill him" Before the flash ended I felt how everyone jumped towards me with their swords.
As soon as all the attackers were close, they attacked their target, seeking to pierce any possible vital point, however, their swords broke when they collided with what they thought was the skin of their target.
A moment later the light of the place was blocked by a large shadow, so everyone looked up to find a large being, which seemed to be growling.
The being in front of them was about three meters tall with orange skin which seemed stronger than steel if their broken swords meant anything, however, if anyone had to say what they thought they saw would be some type of dinosaur.
GRAWWWWWW
The roar that came out of the being caused the entire place to shake and before many could recover from the attack, it swung its arms sending them flying, those who had been able to avoid the first attack discovered that it had a tail when it used it to send two flying.
"Kill that thing, don't waste time!" Hearing that voice again, the being became enraged, so it quickly grew from three meters to fifteen while new characteristics appeared.
Plates appeared on his back, his tail was filled with spikes and three plates appeared on his shoulders. He was a complete monster, which did not hesitate to attack anything that moved.

Minutes later…

When the city police arrived at the docks they moved quickly in the direction where they believed Omnaz was.
They got a big surprise when they found an orange dinosaur in front of them, so they pointed their weapons while one screamed.
"Stop there!" The dinosaur turned around slowly allowing them to see the symbol they already knew on his chest which made them lower their weapons.
"Omnaz, are you okay...and what's your name now?" The being looked at the police officer in charge before speaking with his deep voice.
"My name is Humungosaur...and I'm not well, some assassins killed the guards, if you'll excuse me I'm leaving" In a flash the large dinosaur disappeared to allow XLR8 to run out of the place.
While the officers were in charge of finding the bodies of the murderers who had attacked me, I needed to make a call.

" I saw massacre close enough, you were right master, he has more fury inside him than our other prospect and it seems that he uses it more than him" Among the shadows of a building a figure was talking on an intercom while he saw a blue streak move away.
