"Interesting!" Kae mused with a wide smirk. He immediately activated the Arcane Sight in his mind, his vision becoming clearer than ever. Turning to his right, his gaze pierced through the wall into the adjoining consort's room, where several of them were lounging and relaxing.

"Woah," Kae murmured, amused. Quickly, he got off the bed, unwilling to witness more of what he'd seen. The sight of men in their leisure wasn't something he found appealing. He strode out of his room and onto the palace grounds.

To his surprise, it was night. The moon hung in the sky, casting its bright light over the earth below. The stars twinkled faintly in the distance, their light feeble in comparison to the moon's radiant glow.

How did I not notice it had gotten so late? Kae thought, furrowing his brow. How many hours did I spend on dual cultivation, exactly?
