Chapter 3: Unfortunate
A little child was running. A man was chasing her . That man was the child's father. They were playing on a field.
" Catch me father ! Catch me father !!! "
" O my little darling, where are you ??"
" I'm here father ! Come and catch ! Hahaha !"
" I didn't see you ."
Suddenly that kid fall.
" Father awwhhhhh ."
She cried out in pain.
" O my little. What happened ?? This floor has caused you damage. I'll beat it ."
Then the father started kicking the floor.
" You bad floor. How dare you to hurt my little daughter."
Upon seeing this, the daughter had laughed.
" My father is a superhero, yeeee !!!! "
All of these memories were flashing through Jessica's eyes. She had fallen down. Bloods were floating from her heart, spreading in the father's arms.
" Jessica ! Please don't die. Your father is here. The ambulance is coming !"
" Pick her, I'll take her with my car !"
" Somebody catch the perpetrator who shot her ."
Leon and other people standing there shouted one by one.
Jessica was shot in her heart.
The father's hands were full of blood and his daughter was dying infront him.
The groom was quickly making space among the crowd to take her in his car as the father was following him.
And what about the perpetrator ??
Upon shooting Jessica, he took the side door to run as fast as possible!
Ronin immediately saw him and took the other door. Jackson was behind him.
" Tell the guard to shoot anyone who is near the left corner of the field of the hall area trying to jump the wall ."
" Huhh ??"
Ronin shouted,
" Do as I say ."
Jackson couldn't but trust Ronin.
Jackson took the other route opposite of which Ronin was chasing the perpetrator.
Ronin kept a distance while chasing as he was thinking about the possibility of the perpetrator shooting anyone with that gun again.
Many other men came from the same door which perpetrator used to get out of the hall intending to chase the perpetrator down .
Jessica was being carried lifelessly in her father's arm.
They reached the car of the groom but
She died .
The bride died couldn't hold anymore.
Blood was flowing through her heart like a water pipe that just broke.
All of Jessica's friends cried out upon seeing this.
Monika was worried about the life of Jessica and Ronin who was chasing the perpetrator.
" What if the perpetrator shoots Ronin too ?"
A thought had flashed out of her eyes, taking away her soul.
She didn't even know why Jessica died.
Monika tried to recall everything about Jessica yet failed to catch a single memory related with Jessica harming any individual that would lead her to get shot in this day , her marriage day. Marriage day is one of the most memorable and special days a human can ever experience.
Yet somebody would do such an inhuman crime to erase the entire existence of the bride !!!
This crime not only killed the bride.
This one shot not only pierced the heart of Jessica.
This shot was like one bullet dozens of target down .
This one shot killed Jessica,
This one shot killed the groom's heart.
The groom , Leon, who was experiencing tons of emotions just by seeing Jessica coming towards him.
This one shot killed the emotions of a father who had spent his entire time raising his daughter.
This one shot killed all of Jessica's friends who had been there to support each other from the time of school in any need.
This one shot killed all of the guest's heart who were expecting a beautiful marriage and a new beginning of somebody else's life.
Carrying the dead body of the daughter, father cried. His entire portion of his own existence had gone .

One of the guards of the hall was running towards a direction Jackson had told him.
He saw a man, wearing black suit and pant , running like a prey with the speed of a tiger.
It's like if he get caught he would die.
He was the perpetrator.
Seeing him running, the guard took his gun. A gun that would only fire rubber bullets.
There were ranks of security department officers.
It depends on the rank whether an officer is supposed to use gun or not.
Guard was the minimum position. Thus, he could only use guns that could fire rubber bullets.
But that rubber bullet was enough to stop someone who was running away.
Guard took his stance with his medium sized gun in two hands, aiming for the perpetrator running away.
It was just like Ronin had said.
The perpetrator was at the left corner of the entire convention hall's area trying to jump the wall. Ronin had predicted it.
The guard shot.
Bang !
A rubber bullet went along the direction of the perpetrator.
He went down but didn't lose his consciousness.
He saw many men coming along in his way .
But he had just fall down.
He took his gun via which he had shot down Jessica and started aiming towards the men who were chasing him.
But the guard saw this and aim for the perpetrator's gun instead.
He'd successfully disarmed the perpetrator.
Seeing this, perpetrator again tried to jump of the wall but got shot again.
But as soon as the men came near to catch him, a bullet went through his head.
The perpetrator died on the spot.
Ronin seeing this scean understood it was a sniper.
By watching the bullet piercing through the specific side of the head of the perpetrator's, Ronin looked at the direction from where the bullet came in.
But there were many buildings and he couldn't guess which was the way to come.
Bang !
Another bullet came and pierced the head of a man standing on that crowd.
That man died on the spot too .
All the other men seeing this started taking cover while rushing towards the convention hall.
Ronin saw the entire thing.
By seeing the direction of the falling dead body after getting shot and the side of the head which the bullet had pierced, one could easily understand the direction of the bullet.
So, most of the men were rushing while taking cover from that specific side the bullet was coming.
The entire convention hall was in a chaos .

The police just took over the place.
The investigation of the crime was going.
Everyone was being interrogated.
" Jackson told me that you've entirely predicted the route of the perpetrator which he was going to use for his escape . Can you answer how did you do that ?"
The detective asked.
Monika replied instead of Ronin in his defense,
" Why are you asking him like he was the one who hired the assassin??"
Ronin quickly catching Monika's mistake signed her to shut up.
But the detective officer won't let that go.
" Mam, I never said anything related to Ronin hiring that assassin. You just added this things up ."
Ronin knowing what the detective was thinking told ,
" Sir, she had mistakenly said that in my defense. I'll surely reply your question just don't count my clumsy girl. "
Monika looked at Ronin after this sentence and her face was boiled.
But because she was short, Ronin couldn't take her seriously !
Ronin added ,
" Basically, the whole structure of the convention hall helped me to deduce the correct route for the perpetrator's escape."
" Will you elaborate ?"
The detective asked.
" Aren't you a detective ? You should be able to figure that out after knowing the whole incident. "
Ronin said that to mock the detective indirectly provoking his ego .
But the detective didn't fall for it.
" Anyways"
Ronin said ,
" From the entrance of the hall, one could see the garden on left, parking area on right, hall in the center. Moreover when you walk towards the hall, you'll be at the left side of the CONVENTION HALL building. Which means , to enter the stage, you'll have to choose one of the right side doors and precede to go to the stage which is in the middle of the convention hall. Which also means the perpetrator after killing Jessica would have to choose those exact same door as there were only those door to go outside of the stage. Then the perpetrator would be on the left side of the hall building. From that point, going to the front of the hall won't make sense as the guards can simply shoot him. Going to the back of the convention hall won't be a great choice too as there is another office behind the hall and the guards from that office would catch him. Going to the right side of the hall would be much more difficult as he was at the left side of the hall building and have to round the entire hall building to get there. At that chance, others just can catch him or simply the perpetrator can be surrounded by the guards of the hall. So, only choice was at the left side of the convention hall. But he couldn't turn entirely left side as the guards could target him easily.As he was already at the left side of the building, by going to the left corner, he could jump the wall and get to the garage area. From that point it's easier to escape with 99% success rate. I've just narrowed down the most successful route one can ever take after this types of action."
" I see. You should join us ."
" No thanks !"
Even though the detective ended asking any more questions to Ronin after that, but he didn't stop to doubt the groom, Monika and some of Monika's friends. There was also another point to note. The second man who was killed on that spot. That man's name was Robin.
The detective and the police also suspected that the entire plot was only to kill Robin. Which means that killing Jessica was only a mean to bring out Robin and later kill him by sniping.
There was another reason to support that hypothesis. Which was the sniper not killing any other person except Robin.
Moreover, the perpetrator was also killed.
—None would risk his own life to kill another guy
What if the perpetrator who killed Jessica didn't know about Robin but the sniper man knew. Thus according to plan, after killing Jessica, that perpetrator was trying to run. Predicting that Robin would run after the killer, the sniper set the whole situation and he was ready to kill Robin as well as the perpetrator to clear his target ( Robin ) and clean the evidence ( perpetrator) .
Ronin and that detective was thinking the same ! Although they weren't sure enough of this.
But the detective had more clues.
After investigating Robin's identity, he was more sure of this hypothesis than Ronin as Ronin was in the dark.
The detective also doubted Leon for this action.
Leon and Jessica had their relationship when they both were 15. They were in a same age relationship and never broke up. They didn't broke up just to get a conclusion of one lover dying by assassination.
Why would Leon even kill her was a question ??
To inherit Jessica's father's property ??
To get a revenge ??
None of them made sense as Leon himself was a self made millionaire and he had motive of revenge.
Why would Jessica be even killed in the first place ??
She was pure in heart,
Never caused anyone any type of mental or physical damages.
Never hurt any other boy's heart.
Everybody was aware of Leon x Jessica in their time. So, nobody had any trouble seeing them together. Instead, their college would have couple goals trying to replicate Leon X Jessica.
Then why would someone ever kill Jessica ??
What if the whole murder has a duel sided nature ??
What if the killer actually planned to kill both Jessica and Robin ??
Even though the detective had clues regarding his earlier hypothesis, he still needed more clues to perceive the killer's intentions. Otherwise it would create muiltiple hypothetical reasoning.
