Damian Blackhart.

What could be more satisfying than the fact that you're doing well again. Well, not really okay. It doesn't really apply to me, given all my life experiences, but it's still better than it could have been.

I'm alive again and back in the new world I know thanks to Andrzej Sapkowski.

Still, the Lion of Night did not deceive me and rewarded me for my labours. And I laboured a lot. Before entering the world of George R. R. Martin, I lived in my first life for almost thirty-five years. And in the second, if you take into account the life experience of the "original" Damian Rivers and my life there, the sum of this is equal to eighty-five years. I've lived in two worlds for a total of one hundred and twenty years. That's pretty good, considering my trade. Although my craft in my second life was a little more political. Yeah, under J-Boy, I had a hard time keeping the peace in the Seven Kingdoms first and then expanding eastward. But I got through it. Westeros taught me a lot, and I learnt a lot myself.

And now I have new opportunities in the world thanks to a Pole who, despite the popularity of his fantasy books, didn't like the genre and didn't see it as the future of literature.

Hehehe, how wrong that old cheapskate was.....

Although, when I went on my "last journey" there in King's Landing, I didn't know where I was going yet. The Lion of the Night said only that I'd like that world.

And when I heard the familiar name of the woman when I first came into the world. I laughed like a madman, which made even my mother cringe a little.

"Am I the son of the wizard herself?" - I had this thought at the time.

But she was barren!

And in the games and the TV series, and even in the source books, it was confirmed. Even towards the end of the books, Jennyfair seems to have died with Geralt, but without children. Geez, how did it even end in canon? And what's canon? I realised that thanks to my appearance here I can't consider the following events as "canon". And, besides, I have not read all the books, there were still two left. And in the games, only slightly played. The series seemed to follow the canon, with small gaps and substitutions.

Problem...

Not like Game of Thrones, though. There's a slightly different disposition and history of the world here. And it's a lot easier for me here, considering I'm the son of the sorceress Jennyfair.

Sapkowski actually described the history and folklore of his native Poland, which I've been to a couple of times in passing and once specifically on business. Also, my co-worker is a Pole who was very patriotic of his native Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. So he talked a lot about literature, cinema, theatre and all sorts of stuff (exclusively Polish). That's why I learnt about the Witcher series of books from him. The funniest thing I discovered for myself is that the author there is a cool compiler, troll and expert in the history of his native land. You have to have a great sense of humour to bitch about lore, myths and fairy tales like that. And these Nilfgard Wars are just like the World Wars, even the politics and intrigues repeat the original history of my first world...

But we can talk about it a lot and with joy. But it's too early.

I was lying in a lonely cot in the middle of a large beautiful room. It was soft and smelled of many herbs and berries, among which gooseberries, lilacs and blueberries stood out. Very soon another, female, young and quite beautiful, suddenly appeared before my face.

Before me stood a woman of extraordinary beauty, with lovely violet eyes, luxurious black hair, twisted into tight, shoulder-length curls that shimmered in the light, with a slender figure that was enveloped in a light, translucent silk nightie. Her figure was not bad and appetising, but her breasts were only, alas, of the second size. But I'm not going to drag her into bed, not only because I'm a baby and not capable of it, but also because it seems to be my new mother....

Both of my first mothers from the first two worlds of my lives I've never met. One died when I was little and I don't remember her, the other didn't last long either. Funny, I think I might be lucky enough to have a mum this time.

Hmm. That face looks a bit familiar to me. Maybe in past worlds I've seen a lady like my current mum?

- Jennyfair! - someone called out to my mother, and she turned her face unhappily towards the doorway.

Because of my build and the weakness of a child's body, I couldn't even stand up to see who was talking.

- Quiet! - Yennyfeather snorted. - You'll frighten my son. Tissaia, Marguerite, what are you doing here?! I wasn't expecting you for another week. I'm still recovering from childbirth.

- Ha! Did you think we'd wait so long after the news that you've given birth to your long-awaited child? Don't talk rubbish, dear Yeni! - One of the two snorted and approached me, followed by the other.

The one who spoke first was tall with blond hair, big green eyes and a gorgeous figure that I had never seen in any other woman in my past life, I learnt later that her name was Marguerite Lo-Antil. But the second, a short, slim-framed brunette with piercing brown eyes and a slight warm smile wafting across her lips, was Tissaya de Vrieux.

- Rita, you're too noisy. - Her friend scolded her. - It's a good thing Keira isn't here. She'll arrive tomorrow morning.

- What?! My new mum was outraged. - You're bringing the whole of Arethusa here. I can't even take elixirs to fix my figure. I'm still nursing.

- Have you thought of hiring a nurse? - Tissaya wondered.

- Ha! I didn't give birth to my sweet boy to be fed by some kmetka with her nasty tit. I have milk, I'm healthy and I want to feed him with my own breasts! - Oh, what an expression.

- I'm sorry, I'm sorry, Jennyfair. - Rita put her hands up in the air in a conciliatory manner. - It's just hard for her to understand you, but I share your feelings about this baby. He's so beautiful and innocent. Just a little angel, not a baby, he has your eyes.

Yeah, so I have violet eyes. Makes me want to shout "Long live the Targaryens!", ha ha ha ha.

Although the words about innocence and being an "angel" amused me even more than the colour of my eyes. I wonder what they would say and feel knowing how much blood and sins are on me and my conscience, which has been dead for a long time! And here they are, coddling me.

- By the way," she smiled slyly. - Who's the father?

- He doesn't have a father, and I haven't had a man for a long time.

The two friends glanced at each other, clearly unhappy with this answer. But my mother continued.

- I have already scanned myself and I can say with certainty that I am still unable to have children purely physically. My reproductive organs have atrophied and I am unable to even conceive. The fact that I carried him is already a feat for me. I just don't understand how it all happened. I'm madly glad that the gods, spirits or even demons gave me the opportunity to become a mother, but I don't know how it happened! Trust me, Rita.

- Take it easy, mate. - she hugged her mum. - I believe you. Is the boy all right?

- Yes, he's completely healthy, no diseases, he's even gifted. - an unexpected gift from fate. That's good. I wish I'd paid more attention to J-boy's magic. I could have used that knowledge here. - He's by all accounts a normal kid, no mutations or abnormalities. But I wanted you to be sure.

- Of course! - Tissaya nodded, and after adjusting her cuffs she began what appeared to be a scan.

I felt almost nothing. Just a slight tickle and tingle. I didn't do anything, just smiled and hummed like a normal child so as not to gain unnecessary attention. These ladies as far as I know are not stupid and should know how normal children behave. Though I was a little worried about the scan, and the fact that it might show that I was a subconscious in this world.

Then Marguerite did the same manipulation. They looked at each other and smirked.

- It's just as you said. He's healthy and there are no abnormalities. But... are you sure he doesn't have a father?

- Yes. I haven't had a man in a year and a half.

- And you didn't drink yourself into oblivion or, for example, take a bath with a man? - Margarita clarified. - In case the seed got through the water.

- No!" said her mother, shaking her curls. - I've lived here as a recluse for the last year and a half. Occasionally I received wealthy women for treatment and did some theoretical research.

- And the women? - Marguerite grinned.

- Are you a fool? - Jennyfair glared at her. - How do you get pregnant from a woman? - My parent shook her head irritably. - But even if there was such a case, it doesn't work here either. The last time I went to bed with a woman was twenty years ago, and before that the last time was in Arethusa. And I don't like that sort of thing. - snorted Mum. - And it's frightening to imagine what would be the result of such a... connection.

- It was a silly question. - said the de Vries.

- All right, all right. - Marguerite snorted. - But I just don't understand how that's possible. - She put her fingers to her lips and looked at me carefully, and I, as in the famous phrase: "Smiling and waving" - Oh! He's so cute. You just can't look at him without smiling and wanting to cuddle his cheeks! Ouch! - jerked her hand back after the little lightning bolt that Mum threw at her hand from her finger. - Why!

- There was nothing to touch him. He could be hurt and uncomfortable. In fact, it's time for him to eat and rest. Go downstairs and get some wine from the drawer, I'll be right down.

- Wicked! - Marguerite Lo-Antil threw a grudge and went downstairs, followed silently and proudly by Tissaye de Vrieux.

- My little boy, my dear Damian. Did those old nags frighten you? - Aedirna, the most formidable sorceress, began to coddle me, exposing her beautiful breasts to feed me. - My little ray. - she spoke softly. - I assure you, you will always be safe with me. I don't know how I brought you into this world, but I have no regrets. Eat up, get your strength back. You have to grow up and become the most handsome, strong, virile, charming and intelligent man. And I'll help you with that.

Soon I fell asleep after feeding, which by the way I liked in a way, as, after all, I was breast-fed and not some slop.

When I woke up, Jennyfair, my mother, was not with me. She was probably still talking to her friends about this and that.

Since I don't know the time frame of the history of the Witcher's world, I need to find out what year it is and what events I know have already happened.

And besides with my origin, if you think seriously and long, quite an interesting situation. I may be the son of Jennyfair of Wengerberg, but I have no father. And my mother wouldn't lie to me. Then the question is, is this an immaculate conception?! Has the Lion of the Night really got it in for me?

Anyway, I'll find out, but in the meantime I'll have to pretend I'm a normal child and listen to what the grown-ups: Mum and those kind elderly but very appetising aunts say, and then we'll think.

And when I do. this world will shudder for me, just like the last one.
