As he ran through the crowd, ignoring the message windows that appeared in front of him, Theo scanned his surroundings for someone who could join him and increase his chances of survival.
He watched as a man with long black hair and a beautiful woman frighteningly efficiently killed most of the monsters.
'I have to get close to those two to increase my chances of getting out of here alive,' he thought.
At that moment, a two-headed monster lunged towards him at full speed. With all his might, Theo swung his sword hastily, splitting one of the heads in half. However, the creature seemed unaffected by the loss and lunged at him, ready to rip his throat out with its sharp teeth.
Seeing that his attack hadn't stopped the monster, Theo jumped aside, rolled on the ground, quickly got up, and, with an accurate blow, separated the last head from the creature's body.

"Haa..."
A harsh sigh escaped Theo's lips after defeating the Rotten Aberrant Wolf. He used that brief respite to regain some energy, ignoring the screams and the pungent smell of blood that filled the air.
After eight long seconds, he regained strength and saw a person in distress.
'Let's ignore that. I don't have enough strength to play the hero,' he said.
But his conscience weighed, as he knew he could save that person.
It was curious, wasn't it? A few moments ago, he had not hesitated to use someone as a human shield, and now, he feels guilty for not being able to rescue a stranger.
'That's rather hypocritical of me...', he thought.
Gathering his strength, he plucked up his courage and decided to confront the monster to save the person. The monster was holding a quivering sword, his face so pale that he looked more like a corpse than someone alive.
But as he approached, another monster lunged toward the person's exposed neck; Theo, seeing this, screamed and threw his sword with the last of his remaining strength.
"Look out behind you!"
The man, hearing the scream, turned and saw the monster's bloody fangs approaching his throat. His face paled even more, and before he could react...
Stab!
A sword plunged into the monster's head. The man sighed in relief, turning his head to where the weapon had come from, and saw Theo, with straight blond hair, emerald, red eyes, and a face bloodied with the monster's blood and his own.
He quickly approached Theo to thank him.
"Thank you so much for saving me."
Theo, panting and stern and exhausted, could barely move a muscle. His whole body was screaming in pain, but he knew he couldn't stop; to stay still would mean his death.
"I gasp... I gasp... Now is not the time for thanks; take a weapon and help me finish off these monsters!"
Hearing this, the man quickly picked up a sword and stood next to Theo, who had picked up another sword from the floor.
They both prepared to face the few remaining monsters in the vast room.
...
After a few minutes, following the sudden attack of the monsters.
Kane finished off the last monsters with a quick and precise slash with his daggers, and a long sigh left his lips.

"Phew... I didn't expect many monsters to appear; something is changing..."
He shook the monster's blood off his daggers with a sharp inhalation; this made her frown in annoyance.
Letting out a sigh, he looked around. The floor was covered with bloody human thighs, calves, shoes, ribs, a heart, arms, eyeballs, and other human parts. The small puddles were mixed with pale red intestines, with some monster parts.
Seeing all this, Kane felt like he was in a slaughterhouse specially prepared for humans.
He let out a long sigh, maintaining a neutral and calm expression as he observed the chaos around him. Inside, however, a slight discomfort washed over him.
It was not because of the horrible sight of the place, but because of the frustrating realization that if he had reached level 10 and obtained a class or path earlier, he could have done more.
'There's no point in lamenting now...'
He shook his head, pushing those thoughts aside and focusing on the survivors.
Only a few hundred people who had escaped the traps were still standing. Approximately 60% had died in the monsters' sudden attack, leaving only 40% alive.
'I wonder how they're dealing with those history-devouring monsters in the material world...'
With that thought, Kane turned away from the group of survivors surrounding the protagonist, Theo.
'It's a shame I couldn't replicate one of their abilities,' he thought, with a hint of frustration.
"Who knew you were so capable, Merlin," Rachel commented next to him, wielding her rusty sword to wipe away the monster's blood.
Kane looked at her, remembering the instant the monsters appeared out of nowhere. He remembered Rachel's expression darkening and a sinister smile emerging as she watched the monsters. With overwhelming confidence, he launched into combat, his fighting style fierce and calculated.
'This woman is truly an enigma...' thought Kane before saying. "You too. I didn't expect you to be so capable."
Rachel flashed a small, proud smile. They were very aware of her abilities, but she didn't know why. Hearing that small praise cheered her up a bit. "By the way, Merlin Hermes, do you know what we must do after we finish with all these monsters?"
Before Kane could say anything, a message window appeared.
[You have reached level 10.]
[You have successfully graduated from being a novation and have become a low-ranked player.]
Kane looked pleased, and gave a small smile as the windows continued to appear.
