Even though Zenith paused for a while, being lost in his contemplated thoughts, Marita continued chattering over the call as if she had taken quite a liking to talking with Zenith. 

"Well, it's just the same old story for poor people like us. Watching me struggle to meet our ends riled up his urge to become the strongest Alpha of the town since he was only 5. Could you believe it, that little boy went around the town, telling everyone that he would protect me from the world? Haha, that little fool! 

"But since then, he pushed himself too hard in studies, and workouts, and even did every possible work to support me. Now…he has even gotten himself into the most prestigious Alpha Academy, but he didn't want to leave me because he was worried about me using my life savings to pay for the tuition fees. Could you believe this?" Marita stated with a gentle smile.
