Chapter 14: Chapter 14: He's A Weirdo

With a sharp pain stirred at the back of his head, Kylian blinked open his eyes slowly after a few hours had passed by. Finding himself lying down in a cozy bed, when he blinked his eyes a few times rapidly as if he was trying to clear his foggy vision, the looming back of a giant figure seated close to him on the bed flinched him hard.

When Kylian jolted to sit up, for him the first clear view of that figure was the enchanting big roses and thorn tattoos on his side neck.

Upon realizing it was Aiden, before he could speak a word Aiden stood up from the bed and walked towards a nearby couch. Taking his seat, he gallantly faced Kylian while narrowing his hazel orbs at him, before he stated in a husky voice, "So, you are finally awake. You had passed out for a few hours already, it's already past evening."

Flinched by his frigid tone, Kylian scanned the surroundings and found he was in a large room, with a cozy big bed at the corner of the room and a few bookshelves ahead of him tucked with countless books and ancient literary manuscripts. The room was very ordinary, but the luxurious furnishing made him awestruck when Kylian compared it to the small rented apartment he used to live in with his mother back there in his hometown.

"W-Where am I?" Kylian mumbled in a baffled tone, paying attention to every minor detail in the room. "Is this a…hotel?"

"This is our homeroom teacher's room in the academy arena, just similar to how every student is assigned their separate rooms after enrolling here." Aiden maintained his cold tone, while his eyes didn't stop glowering at Kylian. "I thought you would at least know this much if you were enrolling here, but it seems I must have overestimated your knowledge."

'Damn, what a rude mouth…' Pondering about Aiden, Kylian scowled back at him this time while he urged, "So, does that mean have you brought me here when I was unconscious?"

"The teacher wanted to bring you here, I simply went along with his decision." Aiden crossed his legs, sternly leaning his back against the cushion seat as he further added. "But…I waited a few hours for you to wake up is all because I do have a reason for it."

"Still, I should say thank you for bringing me here…" Kylian mumbled a bit reluctantly, as Aiden's tone was making him a little irked.

His muscles were still sore and aching from the fall, and he noticed he was still wearing those wet clothes, but his black jacket was covering his wet clothes from being a seethrough. However, it made him start to feel feverish.

"I do not want your thanks, but I want to know are you here sent by any of Zenith's enemies?" His voice resonated a bit curtly inside the spacious room which flinched Kylian as he couldn't process in the beginning.

"What?"

"Otherwise, I can't understand why are you so hellbent on messing with Zenith since your first day here?"

Aiden shrugged, sounding quite stern this time. "I have encountered a few stubborn fools like you before, but after the first encounter with Zenith, they usually tend to submit to him. But you are quite peculiar, I must say! You keep pushing his buttons deliberately…why are you doing this? Don't you value your life?"

"Hah?" An irked sneer curved on Kylian's cherry lips as he gritted at Aiden this time, trying hard to keep his tone in check.

"Well, it's very simple to understand, tattoo guy! I am not like those losers who would be afraid of your crazy asshole friend! Besides, he was the one who was picking on Stephan first…and it was him who challenged me for the fight as well!"

Inhaling a deep breath, he continued grumbling, "Oh, and also if your pea-brain can remember, he was the fuckin' one who ordered those minions to destroy my seat…and he was also attempting to throw me out of the window! So…who's the one at the fault now?"

Gazing ardently until now, Aiden quietly listened to his grunt before exhaling a big sigh. "Look, I am not a man of much words, but I had signaled you before as well to stay away from Zenith. I can't stand you provoking him like this…and it can endanger your life as well. The teacher had given you the option to change the class, but you were stubborn enough as usual. Look, you are creating disturbances like this—"

"Hey, are you freakin' blind?" But before Aiden could finish his grumble, Kylian couldn't stand his humiliating words for him as he lashed out furiously, "That fuckin' psycho beat up a guy to bleed terribly, and if I hadn't intervened, Stephan would have seriously injured!

"That bastard also choked me to breathe and even threatened to push me out of the window, so I made him fall along with me to give him a taste of his own medicine! He's the one who starts everything…just like everyone else, should you be also turning a blind eye to it?"

"Zenith was only threatening you. He wasn't considering pushing you out of the window seriously. And if it hadn't for him, you would have gotten even more seriously injured."

"Huh…what a fuckin' reassuring lie!" But Aiden's words only irked him more as Kylian grunted aloud, "Everyone here must have lost their mind if they keep defending that punk like this! You all must be blinded by his wealth and power, but I am not like you fools! I don't prioritize such things above a kind heart!"

Gazing at him grimacing for a while, Aiden stood up from the couch before he calmly narrated, "I just wanted to give you a warning before you would commit something even more dangerous. And, you don't have the slightest knowledge about Zenith's family background. If you were aware, you would have tried to back out quietly, just like Stephan was trying to do before you meddled in."

Finishing his words, Aiden walked towards the door with sturdy steps, but Kylian couldn't stand the rage burning in his heart from his words. He leaped down from the bed and lashed out at Aiden from behind, "Then…are you really worthy to be his friend?"

His howl paused Aiden, making him turn a glance around when Kylian continued.

"If your friend is going down the wrong way…as a friend it should be your liability to stop him…or make him aware of his conscience! You can't aid your friend to become a monster and later threaten others about it! You people are cowards… You are just blindly following his path because you want to stay on his good side…but think from your heart, do you really care for him?"

His words paused Aiden for a second as if he wasn't able to completely deny it. However, frowning his brows, he grunted in a cold tone, "I do care about him as his best friend…that's why I am worried you push him too hard to commit the same mistake he did years ago!"

"What mistake?" When Kylian reverted back to him, without answering him Aiden quietly walked out of the room, slamming the door behind. His gesture made Kylian infuriated as he screamed at him, "You shouldn't leave the conversation halfway when someone's talking to you, rude tattoo bastard!! Ahrg! I hate all these punks!!"

However, even from outside, Kylian's howl was clearly heard. While walking ahead, Aiden took out the torn picture of Kylian and his mother's photograph which had slipped out from Zenith's chest pocket when he fell down along with Kylian.

Gazing at the picture silently, Aiden intended to toss it away inside the bin. But something inside him halted him from doing so, as he put the picture back inside his pocket, mumbling on his own, "I will throw it away some other time. But he's a weirdo."
