Chapter 10: Chapter 10: Why Him?

Followed by sudden rushing and stumbling steps, a few Alphas from his bully gang immediately marched inside the room with curious gazes towards him.

One among them came forward before urging, "You summoned us, Master?"

"Where is that pretty blue-eyed newbie?" Zenith's smug face turned a little cryptical when he asked him, still gazing at Kylian's picture.

"One among the boys saw him taking that weakling Stephan to the nurse's office. So, probably he is still there, Master." The boy obediently answered.

"Hmm, how kind-hearted. He really knows to push up my buttons…" Scratching Kylian's picture with his sharp nail, Zenith smirked a little, "We have a class together with him today, right? How much time is left now for it?"

"Umm, maybe in half an hour?"

"Great. Let's go and greet our newbie properly this time…" His devilish smug widened a bit when he put the picture inside his chest pocket, instead of throwing it away. "You guys know how to greet him, right?"

"Of course Master! Leave it to us!" With a devilish grin flashing on them, all those boys chanted together, except for Aiden who exhaled a sigh while making an anxious face at Zenith.

But ignoring their reaction, Zenith stood up from his chair and walked close to the window, staring blankly outside at the cherry blossoms.

A thought hit his mind when he pondered on his own, 'Something is strange about you pretty boy! If you were truly an Alpha…then why wouldn't you have any pheromones, huh? What are you trying to hide?

'As far I know, has an Alpha ever smelled strangely sweet like you, Kylian Marley?'

Just from hearing the abnormally huge sum of 14 billion dollars, Stephan saw Kylian's face lose all its color, rather turning pale and cold. His ocean eyes nervously swirled, when he pondered deep in his mind, 'Damn it! What if that bastard really sues me with such a crazy amount? Even if I sell a few of my organs, I don't think I will be able to gather even a billion dollars… Gathering the tuition fees of the academy must have taken a great toll on Mom, so how could I ever pressurize her for a bastard like Garry?

'Besides, he grabbed me by my collar first, and with just one hit, I didn't even break his collarbone! The nurse said it was just a muscular injury! Shit…if I knew this would have happened, I would have atleast broken a few bones of him, so that now I wouldn't have to feel so shitty…'

However, seated still while leaning against a big cushion, Stephan cordially smiled at him, "You must be thinking about the compensation amount, right? I know…it must have been a crazy big amount for students like us. But…Zenith and his gang, are heartless. They enjoy tormenting the weaker ones until they quit from here. So I guess, I bear the same fate since I have already earned Zenith's anger towards me…"

"Who said you could just quit because of that?"

Kylian growled at him, narrowing his brows as his hands clenched into a fist. "Those crazy bastards don't deserve the upper hand on us! If they dare to bully the weaker ones, instead of quitting, learn to face them head-on! I don't care even if that bastard Garry put on defamation charges on me after coming back, I will just have to break his fuckin' annoying face before proceeding ahead further! That's how we should handle them, do you understand?"

"Pfftt!" Stephan chuckled, but his mouth curvature was badly bruised up which made him flinch a little. Keeping a brief pause, he spoke meeting Kylian's angry gaze, "Just now, you really sounded like a thug, do you know? No one would be able to tell that you are a merit student of this academy if you keep being like this."

"Well," exhaling a heavy sigh, Kylian commented in a hoarse voice, "If this is the only way left to treat those bastards, then I am glad to be called a thug. But, I will never apologize to them, until they realize what kind of dirtbags they have been to be labeled as Alphas!"

His strong determination wooed Stephan as he couldn't stop gazing at Kylian's giant figure shining brightly under the falling rays of the warm sun. With a small smile, he responded politely, "Well, I don't have the crazy sum of 14 billion dollars with me now, but…if Garry tries to put a lawsuit against you, at least I will have my lawyers to defend you. So, shall we formally introduce ourselves?"

Flinched at his kind approach, when Kylian gazed at him, Stephan smiled, stretching his bruised right hand for a formal handshake. "Myself Stephan Todor, let's be good friends from now on."

After leaving his hometown with countless hopes in his gleaming eyes, a part of his hopes was brutally crushed after he encountered the academy's heartless Alphas. But now, Stephan's kind approach made him smile, as he answered with a small nod, "Kylian Marley…and you can just simply call me Kyle. My mother used to call me this."

With his tender smile, Stephan glanced at the big wall clock in front of them before curiously urging him, "Kyle, you have already missed your first class of the day because of me, but don't you have a second class in a few minutes? You should rush to the classroom now."

"B-But…"Kylian hesitantly paused when he urged him.

But Stephan tried to assure him, "My injuries are quite severe so after the effect of the drug, they will take at least a day to heal my injuries. But you should better go now, don't worry about me. I will stay here for now, okay."

Exhaling a heavy sigh, Kylian reluctantly stood up from his chair and spoke on a serious note, "If those bastards come to bother you again, just report it to the nurse, okay? Don't just take up their beating!"

"I don't think I am the one in trouble now…" Furrowing his brows, Stephan answered with a heavy sigh, "I think…you are the one who has class with Zenith now, Kylian."

"W-What!?" Kylian scowled with an unpleasant yelp, brushing his black hair above his forehead, "Why that bastard? Just why??"
