Chapter 2: Chapter Two: The Unlikely Trio
[Quirks Copied: Hyper Stamina, Fix it, Fat Conversion, Retractability, Pea Shooter]
[Hyper Stamina: Mutation quirk giving its holder extraordinary endurance and swift stamina recovery with a minor healing factor to light wounds]
[Fix-It: Activation quirk giving its holder the ability to repair electronics and other technologies upon contact]
[Fat Conversion: Activation quirk granting the ability to convert stored body fat into physical strength and energy, can also be used to recover stamina]
[Retractability: Activation quirk allowing its holder the ability to retract any part of his body into himself, from eyes or nose to even entire limbs]
[Pea Shooter: Activation quirk allowing its holder the ability to summon a plant like creature with the ability to shoot peas like rubber bullets]
Mizuki and Dabi roamed the familiar neighborhood as he copied targeted quirks every hour. Hyper Stamina and Fat Conversion he acquired from the quirk gym he usually went to while the rest were acquired from some acquaintances who lived or worked nearby. He could say his biggest gains today were Hyper stamina and Retractability. The former because over 90% of quirks were fueled by stamina and the latter because it allowed him to hide the obvious changes brought by certain mutation quirks.
"Really Mizuki, Pea Shooter? I knew you had an unhealthy obsession for the quirk ever since you saw it but this is something else" Dabi rolled his eyes as he glanced at the little green plant like creature with a trumpet mouth and bogle eyes.
"I can't help it; it just brings back some fond memories" Mizuki shrugged with a sigh. After all this quirk was completely identical to the Pea Shooter in Plants VS Zombies game of his old world. This Pea Shooter once summoned takes root in the ground and absorbs nutrients to generate it pea ammunition. Unfortunately, while it made a perfect garden guard as its peas weren't lethal it lacked the ability to identify between friend and foe apart from its summoner and ones it absorbed all nutrients in its reach than it withers and dies.
Dabi didn't bother saying anymore as he went back to texting his contacts. Meanwhile Mizuki went about testing his other quirks as the waited for the next cooldown. Retractability worked fine enough and he could keep it active as long as he wanted but walking around without arms was uncomfortable enough so he kept it inactive. He already had a highly defined build so he didn't have much use for Fat Conversion, plus he already had Hyper Stamina so he was far from getting tired anytime soon. As for Fix-It he went around the house repairing all the little damages it had.
"Ding, Dong" just then the doorbell rung and he and Dabi exchanged a glance before he went to answer it. Looking through the doorbell camera he saw a young man with short burgundy hair combed back, grey eyes and a black face mask wearing a maroon suit without the jacket and rolled up sleeves. Mizuki gave Dabi a signal and the both relaxed as he opened the door.
"Kai, took you long enough" Mizuki chuckled.
"I didn't realize I was on rollcall" Kai Chisaki AKA Overhaul responded dryly. At the same time a little head of long white hair pocked out from behind him with big happy eyes.
"Big Brother Mizuki!"
"Eri-chan!" Mizuki caught the bundle of joy as she ran to him and swung her around.
"Did you miss this big bro?" Mizuki asked.
"Um, um, Eri missed you a lot. Kai nee-san too" she nodded fiercely.
"Did he now?" he glanced at Kai.
"Not even little" Kai responded heartlessly as he entered and looked around making sure the place was clean for his and Eri's sake. Thankfully he wasn't disappointed.
"Dabi, I see your mooching off Mizuki again" Kai greeted.
"I paid rent this time" Dabi responded with a sudden confidence.
"I call bullshit" Kai shot back.
"Language!" Mizuki shouted from the tv as he set up some kid's games for an excited Eri.
This was another change he made to the plot. As an avid MHA encyclopedia, he was well aware of the fact that Kai Chisaki went to the same orphanage Dabi grew up in which was secretly run by All for One. In fact, Tomura's Disintegration quirk was actually derived from Overhaul by the old doctor before being implanted in Tomura. Mizuki couldn't allow the tragedies that occurred in the original story to repeat themselves so while it took years of Talk no Jyutsu, he made sure to instill some big brother knowledge into the two.
As Eri focused intently on Mario Karts, the three sat at a round coffee table. They made for a peculiar scene, a classified villain, a Yakuza boss and quirk-less trouble maker. All of them sporting their own stories and experiences yet being the longest of friends.
"Alright, what's this about?" Kai asked, getting straight to the point.
"It's all about this" Mizuki didn't hesitate and manifested radiant yet deadly flames from his hand. Chisaki's eyes immediately went wide at the sight and he looked to Dabi who nodded.
"You got a quirk… his quirk?" Kai asked pointing a thumb at Dabi.
"To be more accurate I copied his quirk" Mizuki nodded.
"Copied, so he still has his?"
"Yep"
"How long will this copy last?"
"Its permanent"
"You're kidding" Chisaki's eyes widened even more.
"Not even a little, I can copy and paste a quirk every hour"
"Is there a limit to how many you can have at once?"
"Nope"
"So, it's a Copy and Paste Quirk with an hour cooldown and no capacity limiter?" Kai asked just to be sure.
" That's correct" Mizuki nodded.
"The hell you waiting for than, go copy All Might's quirk or something" Chisaki's exclaimed in a rare case of losing his cool. Thanks to Mizuki's intervention he didn't grow up with the idea that quirks were a disease.
"All in due time my friend, I don't want to attract to much attention this early in the game" Mizuki waved his hand.
"Yeah, a quirk like All Might's stands out too much. It won't be long before certain people come knocking on the door" Dabi agreed and Chisaki nodded thoughtfully.
"In that case take my quirk too" Chisaki offered.
"Overhaul would be a good addition" Mizuki nodded and reached out.
"Wait, you don't need to make direct skin contact right?" Chisaki hurriedly sat back as he felt his extreme mysophobia acting up.
"As long as I touch the body even if it's through the cloths it can be copied" Mizuki and Dabi rolled their eyes.
"Alright" Chisaki blatantly slapped his hand away and threw off his gloves before hurriedly taking out a new pair to wear, all under Mizuki's deadpanned expression.

"This quirk of yours is really something else" Mizuki admitted as he felt the Overhaul quirk within him. A section of the wooden table was split and molded like dough int varying shapes under his control.
"Your pretty apt at quirk use for someone whose been quirk-less till now" Chisaki admitted.
"I've always been good at everything I do" Mizuki shrugged with no humility before asking. "So, you interested in any quirks?"
"For Me?" Chisaki pointed at himself.
"His Quirk is Copy and Paste Chisaki, and its not restricted to just him" Dabi explained without looking up from his phone.
"Well in that case I have two" Chisaki said firmly.
"I expect Rewind Is one of them but what's the other?" Mizuki asked.
"Analysis, it's an ocular quirk that allows the user to analyze the world around them and targets to a near molecular level, providing feedback in the form of information the user can understand" Chisaki explained with clear excitement.
"Which is highly compatible with Overhaul's matter manipulating ability" Mizuki nodded.
"Exactly"
"Where is it?" Mizuki asked.
"The owner of this Quirk is a highly acclaimed quirk specialist in Kyoto. He won't be hard to get to"
"It's a plan than" With that they moved on to other plans and topics. Mizuki needed influence to upgrade his system so sticking to the shadows wasn't an option anymore.
After returning Eri home and greeting Chisaki's old man they were back on the streets of Musutafu. And quickly made it to the Quirk hospital using Dabi as a decoy to brush shoulders with the good doctor before bailing after copying the Analysis quirk. Chisaki of course was the first to have it pasted and the rapid advancement in his Overhaul quirk utility, the two quirks were simply way to compatible. After that they roamed the city till late night Copying and Pasting Quirks as they went.
