**Chapter 43: Do You Have That Thing? (Monthly Votes and Bookmarks Needed)**

"Ugh, that jerk!"

In the apartment, Bondchen lay on the couch, angrily ending the call.

"What's wrong?" Angela asked.

"I'm sick and don't want to take medicine, and he said he'd hit me."

Bondchen kicked the blanket, frustrated.

Angela smirked, "Bondchen, haven't you noticed you've become super melodramatic lately?"

"Have I?"

"Isn't it obvious? You used to take medicine like a champ when you were sick. Now, you whine on the phone and refuse to take medicine. Tsk tsk, it's so cheesy. You used to say you wanted to strangle anyone who acted all cutesy. Now, do you have the urge to strangle yourself?"

Angela teased.

"No, when no one is pampering you, it's useless to act cute. Now that I have someone pampering me, I have to show it off, right? Oh, I almost forgot. You're single, so you wouldn't understand."

"Excuse me, what did you say?"

Angela was annoyed, pouncing on her with a mix of playful and serious anger, which made Bondchen laugh and beg for mercy.

"Angela, I'm sorry! I shouldn't have called you a single dog. I really am sorry, please forgive me!"

Bondchen laughed, gasping for breath.

"No forgiveness! You're too smug now that you have a boyfriend. You've forgotten who was there for you when you didn't have one, haven't you?"

Angela continued to tickle her.

"Alright, alright, I'm wrong! I promise I won't say it again."

Bondchen pleaded.

"Not enough! You've been rubbing it in about your boyfriend too much. I'm going to get my revenge."

Angela kept going.

"Ah, stop! Ah-choo~"

Bondchen sneezed suddenly.

Angela stopped and jumped up. "You're so mean, using germs against me! I'll let you off for now, but I'm coming back for you once you're better."

"Hey, thanks, Angela. You should take some medicine too, just in case."

Bondchen held up the medicine.

"No way, I'm perfectly healthy and won't get sick easily."

"You should take it anyway. If you don't have a boyfriend, being melodramatic doesn't help."

"You're still talking?"

Angela resumed her tickling.

"Alright, alright, I get it!"

Bondchen laughed, managing to escape.

They laughed and played around until it was bedtime.

**Later that Night**

The phone rang and Angela was woken up from sleep. She picked up the phone groggily.

"Who's this?"

"Angela, it's Richard. Can you help me with something?"

"Help with what?"

"Can you let me in? I'm downstairs."

"You're downstairs?!"

Angela shot up, looking at the phone, it was 11:45 PM. "Are you serious? Aren't you in Boston?"

"Yes, Bondchen is sick and I came to deliver her medicine."

"You came all the way from Boston in the middle of the night just to deliver medicine?! What are you trying to do, be a love-struck fool?"

Angela hung up the phone angrily, not able to handle the late-night display of affection. She walked to the security monitor, saw Richard's face, and opened the electronic lock. She then went to the bathroom.

A few moments later, there was a knock on the door.

Hmph!

Angela opened the door to see Richard, looking slightly disheveled from travel, holding medicine.

"Jerk, flaunting your affection and making me suffer."

Angela opened the door with a huff.

"Sorry, sorry. I came in a hurry and didn't bring a gift. I'll make it up to you next time."

Richard smiled as he walked in.

"Who needs your gift? Just keep the noise down and don't wake me up again."

Angela glared at him and stomped back to her bedroom.

"Thanks, Angela!"

Richard smiled and, after removing his jacket and shoes and freshening up in the bathroom, approached Bondchen's bedroom.

Knock knock knock~

He knocked softly three times, but there was no response. He knocked again.

"Angela, what's with the knocking at this hour?"

Bondchen grumbled, rubbing her eyes as she opened the door.

"Did you take your medicine?"

Richard asked firmly.

"…"

Bondchen's eyes widened in surprise. She rubbed her eyes again, "Am I dreaming?"

"Look at me!"

Richard pinched her cheeks and shook them slightly. "Did you take your medicine?"

"Ah, jerk, why are you back?"

Bondchen yelled, then jumped into his arms.

"Keep it down!"

Angela shouted from the other room.

"Shh~"

Richard carried Bondchen, who was clinging to him like a koala, into the bedroom and closed the door with his shoulder.

"Dear, why are you back?"

Bondchen asked, holding his neck.

"I'm here to make sure you take your medicine. Did you take it? If not, I've got it right here."

Richard patted her on the back.

"I took it. You came all the way from Boston in the middle of the night just to supervise me taking medicine?"

"Yep!"

"You're crazy. Why did you drive all this way? You're just an impulsive fool!"

Bondchen playfully hit his chest.

"Okay, I'm a fool. Besides making sure you took your medicine, there's something else."

"What is it?"

"I missed you!"

Richard touched her nose with his.

Bondchen's lips curled up as she touched his nose, "I missed you too! Really missed you! Ah-choo~"

"…"

"Ha-ha, sorry, sorry. Go wash your face!"

"I don't mind you sneezing on me."

"You don't mind, but I do. Go on!"

Bondchen nudged him towards the bathroom.

"Alright!"

Richard smiled and walked out of the bedroom.

Bondchen lay in bed, her mind racing.

Tonight was perfect, and it felt like something was about to happen. She had prepared for this day, but when it actually came, she felt nervous, excited, and scared. Was she ready for this? Would it hurt? Would she get pregnant without the necessary precautions? The more she thought about it, the redder her cheeks became, and her body felt feverish.

*Tap tap tap*

Richard returned.

Bondchen closed her eyes and curled up under the blanket, trying to ignore her growing anticipation.

Richard lay down beside her, wrapped his arms around her, and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

Was it about to start? Bondchen clenched her fists, her body tensed, waiting for the moment.

But after a while, nothing happened.

*Snore snore snore*

She heard Richard's light snoring.

She opened her eyes to find Richard fast asleep, snoring soundly.

Jerk!

He's asleep while holding me. Am I really that unattractive? Bondchen shook her fists, tempted to give him a piece of her mind. But remembering how he had spent the whole day filming and then driven four hours to get back, she felt a mix of sweetness and sadness.

"Good night, dear!"

She kissed his lips and snuggled into his arms, falling asleep peacefully.

---

**The Next Morning**

At around 8 AM, Angela, still yawning, left her room. She had overslept due to the unexpected disturbance the night before.

In the living room, Bondchen was doing yoga on the rug.

"Why wasn't there any noise coming from your room last night?"

"What noise?"

Bondchen asked.

"The noise, you know, that noise."

Angela tried to clarify.

"Which noise?"

"Bondchen, stop pretending to be naive. I know you know what I mean."

Angela was frustrated.

"Nothing happened, so nothing to ask about. We just didn't do anything."

Bondchen responded.

"Nothing happened? You were sharing a bed with him, and nothing happened?"

"Yep. Richard was so tired he started snoring within 10 seconds of lying down. What could I do?"

Bondchen said with a sigh.

"Ha-ha, you two are something else," Angela laughed, covering her mouth. She looked into the room. "Is Richard still asleep?"

"No, he got up at five. He has to get back to his shoot early."

"Wow, he's really pushing himself?"

Angela shook her head. "Bondchen, do you now understand the consequences of being melodramatic? Acting like this only puts people who care about you in a difficult position."

"I get it. But how would I know who truly cares for me if I don't act melodramatic sometimes?"

Bondchen smiled.

"He came all the way here just to check on you?"

"Yes, and it's more meaningful than any grand declaration. No matter how tough things get, he'll be there when I need him. It's a wonderful feeling!"

Bondchen smiled brightly.

"You're such a fool!"

Angela shook her head and went into the bathroom, slamming the door behind her.

Bondchen sighed, feeling the pressure of her own situation.
