Chapter 62: Flying Head

The things he threw dropped halfway, then flew at us again at another angle.

They were snakes.

Able to lunge at their prey from a distance.

Their sudden change of angle took us by surprise, but we were able to cut them in half.

When we looked ahead again, the man had just turned a corner.

Not wanting to lose sight of him, we immediately gave chase.

He didn't stop, kept running faster.

The chase didn't stop until he reached an open clearing.

He turned around facing us and stood there chanting.

"You better stop what you're doing," I said and pointed my knife at him.

He didn't bother with my threat and kept on chanting.

Out of the two corners in front of us, two dogs came out of the shadows.

They were making a low growling noise, just like the noise I heard in my room.

Henry blew his blow darts at the dogs.

It did nothing; they still came closer and closer.
