Chapter 12: The Shell Shock!

(Still under the sunny skies, balmy breezes.)

(Mew and her friends continue to sail across the sea.)

(and probably heading towards another tropical island for their next adventure.)

(And possibly find the next Orange Crew Gym Leader to battle.)

(Mew stretches her arms with a smile.)

Mew: "This is great!"

Misty: "Yeah, the skies are blue, the sun is warm, and Togepi, Pichu, and I are having a great time! Right?"

(Misty replies.)

(Togepi and Pichu happily answer with a reply.)

Tomo: "Yeah. It's great to go swimming."

(Tomo says.)

(Meloetta sits next to Tomo as she feels the wind in her face and hair.)

Tracey: "With the ocean temperature this high, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw lots of cool Pokemon swimming by."

(Tracey says, looking through his binoculars.)

(Suddenly, Tracey hears a sound.)

(and looks through his binoculars to see boats coming in their direction.)

(Tracey calls out.)

Tracey: "Hey, look!"

(Mew turns her head and calls out.)

Mew: "Look out!"

(With that, the boat zooms right past then.)

(splashing the water on them and getting them wet.)

(Misty shouts in anger.)

Misty: "Watch where you're going!"

Tracey: "I wonder why they're in such a hurry."

(Tracey replies.)

(Tomo soon notices something ahead.)

Tomo: "Maybe there."

(Mew and the others look to see that the boats are speeding towards an island.)

Tracey: "It looks like they're headed to that island."

(Tracey says.)

Mew: "Maybe we should go check it out."

(Mew replies.)

(Soon enough, Mew and the others reach the island's beach.)

Mew: "Thanks for the ride, Lapras. You better rest for a while in your Pokéball."

(Mew says, and calls Lapras to his Pokeball.)

(Once Lapras is in his Pokeball, the group hear and turn to see a news crew.)

(They see a woman with blue hair, pink shirt, ivory pants, and brown boots.)

(The news reporter says through the microphone in front of the camera.)

news reporter: "Our exclusive report continues! I've just arrived on Fukuhara Island Four, which has recently become the object of so much speculation. Does this lush location, uninhabited by humans, hold the key that would unlock the secret to the extinct Pokémon? An archaeological team is about to begin their historic explorations. And we'll be with them if and when they solve the Kabuto mystery."

(Then says to the camera crew.)

camera crew: "And cut!"

camera guy: "Nice job,"

(The camera guy says.)

(Soon, the T.V crew walks away.)

Tracey: "Kabuto mystery?"

(Tracey says, interested.)

Misty: "Historic exploration?"

(Misty says, confused.)

Tomo: "Fukuhara Island Four?"

(Tomo says, confused.)

Mew: "Sounds like this could be interesting. Why don't we follow them and find out?"

(Mew says.)

(Everyone answers.)

Everyone: "Yeah."

(With that, Mew and the others follow the camera crew to a campsite.)

(There, they see the reporter and the TV crew.)

(Right now, they're filming the next scene.)

(The TV reporter says in front of the camera.)

TV reporter: "I'm here at the team's base of operations for this fossil hunt, and for a world television exclusive. A first look at the object that's triggered their investigation. Beneath the layers of silt and soil, are the fossilized remains of the long extinct Pokémon, Kabuto. Caught in a fisherman's net a week ago, experts working round the clock have determined that it was somehow dislodged from its ancient resting place on this island, and drifted into the international spotlight."

Tracey: "I can't believe they found a real Kabuto fossil!"

(Tracey says, amazed.)

(Tomo then says.)

Tomo: "If you want to see something just amazing, Mew has caught a real Kabuto."

Tracey: "She did?"

(Tracey asks, surprised.)

Tomo: "Yeah. And an Omanyte, Aerodactyl, and she got a fossilized Lileep that we restored at Cinnabar Island."

(Tomo says.)

Tracey: "I'm impressed. Did you guys get a restored fossil Pokemon? I like to see them."

(Tracey asks, interested.)

Misty: "Sure. We can show you to them later."

(Misty says.)

Mew: "Still, I guess there aren't too many Kabuto fossils around, huh?"

(Mew says.)

Tracey: "Yeah, this is like a major find that Pokemon Archaeologists from all over are gonna want to study."

(Tracey says.)

Mew: "Let's see what info Dexter has about them."

(Mew says, bringing out her Pokedex.)

(Dexter says.)

Dexter: "Kabuto, the Shellfish Pokémon. A Rock and Water Type. Though this Pokémon is now believed to be extinct, it had a hard shell that protected its body and is believed to have been a powerful swimmer."

(Then the reporter says.)

the reporter: "Now, let's get an up close and personal perspective on this investigation from the director of the archaeological team."

(She turns her head and asks.)

the reporter: "Can we speak to you?"

(The director steps out of the tent.)

(and the director is Nurse Joy dressed in a safari outfit.)

Nurse Joy: "Sure,"

(Nurse Joy says.)

(Everyone becomes surprised.)

Everyone: "Nurse Joy?"

(Nurse Joy walks over and says.)

Nurse Joy: "One of the main reasons we've come here is to learn everything we can about the habitat of the extinct Pokémon, Kabuto. We'd also like to find out if there's any truth to the claims about Kabuto oil."

The reporter: "Please, tell us what these startling claims are."

(The reporter replies.)

Nurse Joy: "Well, legend has it that the oil from Kabuto shells not only brings good health, but it can make people live forever."

(Nurse Joy says.)

Everyone: "Live forever?!"

(Everyone says, surprised.)

Nurse Joy: "Of course, we know that's impossible, but there could be some basis to the legend, and Kabuto oil may prove to be a great historic importance to medical science."

(Nurse Joy adds.)

The reporter: "Fascinating,"

(The reporter replies.)

(Suddenly, Mew's Kabuto has let himself out of his Pokeball on his own.)

Misty: "Kabuto!"

(Misty says, surprised.)

(Tracey is amazed.)

Tracey: "Wow! A real live Kabuto, and it looks like you raised it well!"

Mew: "Thanks,"

(Mew says.)

(Then kneels to Kabuto.)

Mew: "Hey Kabuto, you want to see a Kabuto fossil."

(Kabuto doesn't answer and crawls over to the camera crew and the director.)

(Then climbs up the table and looks at the fossil.)

(That causes the crew by surprise.)

(The reporter says, surprised.)

The reporter: "A real living Kabuto?! Amazing!"

Mew: "Kabuto!"

(Mew panics and rushes to him.)

(Mew picks Kabuto and calmly says.)

Mew: "You shouldn't do that, it's not polite."

Nurse Joy: "Oh, so is that Kabuto yours?"

(Nurse Joy asks.)

Mew: "Um yeah. This little guy is mine,"

(Mew says, sheepish.)

(Meanwhile, out in the ocean.)

(Team Rocket is spying on Mew and her friends through the periscope in their submarine.)

Jessie: "I wonder what a TV crew could be doing with those twerps on that island."

(Jessie wonders.)

James: "Just because you're wondering doesn't mean you should stop pedaling!"

(James says.)

Meowth: "Hey, if we hurry up an' catch Pikachu, maybe we could catch some face time on television, too."

(Meowth says with excitement.)

(Liking the idea, Jessie starts pedaling.)

(Meanwhile, on the island.)

(the expedition crew is prepared for their expedition.)

Nurse Joy: "Okay! Is everybody ready?!"

(Nurse Joy asks.)

(Everyone confirm with excitement.)

The reporter: "This dedicated band of explorers is beginning a torturous trek to find where the mysterious Kabuto fossil could have come from. And we'll be here to record every dramatic moment of their adventure."

(The reporter says.)

(With that, the expedition is underway.)

(Mew and the others follow Nurse Joy with her team.)

(and the TV crew into the forest.)

(Mew turns to Kabuto who is sitting on Mew's head.)

Mew: "You doing okay, Kabuto?"

(Kabuto makes a happy sound, letting her know that he's okay.)

(Pikachu and Eevee walk alongside her along with the others with interest in the expedition.)

(As they walk through the forest, they are being stalked and followed by a mysterious figure.)

(The TV reporter says.)

TV reporter: "We're about to begin our climb along a treacherous mountain path, but these brave explorers seem incapable of fear."

(With that, everyone begins to climb on the narrow edge.)

(and Misty is scared stiff.)

(However, they continue to climb on the narrow ledge.)

(Meanwhile, far below on another ledge.)

(Team Rocket is trekking as well, following Mew and her friends.)

Jessie: "James, you're lagging behind."

(Jessie says.)

(Then Meowth says.)

Meowth: "Yeah, walk a little faster, will ya?"

James: "That's easy for you to say."

(James whines because he's the only one who is carrying a heavy backpack.)

Jessie: "Well, nobody told you to bring that heavy backpack."

(Jessie says.)

(Then James talks back.)

James: "And nobody told you to bring that nasty attitude, either, but I'm stuck with both!"

(Meanwhile, the Growlithe leading the way, senses something.)

(Even One of the members asks.)

the member: "What's the matter, Growlithe?

Nurse Joy: "What are we stopping for?"

(Nurse Joy asks.)

(Mew steps forward and says.)

Mew: "Growlithe senses something up ahead.

Nurse Joy: "Up ahead?"

(Nurse Joy questions.)

(She looks ahead to see a giant rock.)

Nurse Joy: "Oh, that's just a big rock."

(Soon the rock starts to move and begins rolling down the hill towards the group.)

Mew: "Run for it!"

(Mew calls out.)

(With that, everyone begins to run for it.)

Misty: "We'll be okay, Togepi! Pichu! Get inside!"

(Misty says, and places the little ones in her backpack.)

(The reporter announces.)

The reporter: "A giant boulder is bearing down on us as this group scrambles for survival!"

(As the group runs from the mountain.)

(the group has no idea that the figure that has followed them is the one responsible.)

Misty: "We're gonna get squashed if we don't think fast!"

(Misty panics.)

(Then Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Nurse Joy! Try using the Machoke!"

Nurse Joy: "That's a great idea, Mew!"

(Nurse Joy says.)

(Then calls out.)

Nurse Joy: "Machoke, get in there and block that rock!"

(The two Machoke turn around and stop the boulder with their strength.)

(luckily, the boulder has come to a stop.)

The reporter: "Yes! A superpowered pair of Machoke have saved the day!"

(The reporter cheers.)

(The two Machoke picks up the boulder and tosses it into the abyss.)

Tomo: "Alright!"

(Tomo cheers.)

The reporter: "With the boulder cast safely aside, the team's rejoicing over the last minute miracle!"

(The reporter says.)

(On the ledge below, the boulder soon lands towards where Team Rocket are.)

(Then sends James further down.)

(James screams.)

James: "This is gonna hurt!"

(Jessie and Meowth can only watch.)

(as the boulder sends James down the mountain.)

(Meanwhile, up the mountain.)

(the mysterious figure continues to stalk the archaeological team and the others.)

(but Pikachu and Eevee senses its presence.)

(Mew and Kabuto senses something as well.)

(They turn their heads to see no one is there.)

(Mew whispers.)

Mew: "Hey guys, you get the feeling someone's following us, too, right?"

Eevee: "Eevee Eevee," (We sure are.)

(Eevee says.)

Pikachu: "Pika Pikachu," (I think we're not alone)

(Pikachu says.)

(Kabuto expresses his concern as well.)

(Mew whispers.)

Mew: "Let's keep an eye out."

(The Pokemon agree and they all continue forward.)

(The figure then comes out of his hiding place again.)

(Soon, they come to an end of the ledge.)

archaeological member: "This is it."

(The archaeological member says.)

Mew: "Oh, wow!"

(Mew says,amazed.)

(Everyone is amazed by what they're seeing.)

(The reporter says.)

The reporter: "We have finally reached our destination, a hidden bay here on the island's desolate northern shore, where experts believe the recently discovered Kabuto fossil may have come from. As you can see behind me, this team of explorers has already begun their painstaking work. Rhydon and the Machoke are assisting in the operation, but will any new Kabuto fossils be discovered here? All these dedicated scientists can do is work, watch, wait, and see."

(With that, all the archaeologists, along with Mew and her friends begin to work on finding any more Kabuto fossils.)

(Misty says in exhaustion.)

Misty: "I never thought we would be digging fossils again."

Tomo: "Yeah. I almost forgot that digging for fossils is hard work."

(Tomo says.)

Tracey: "You have to make sure you examine everything carefully, too."

(Tracey says, examining a fossil.)

Mew: "Yeah, but it's all worth it!"

(Mew says.)

(Suddenly, without warning, rocks and boulders begin tumbling down the top of the rock wall.)

(Eevee senses something and calls out.)

Eevee: "Eevee! Eevee Eevee! (Hey guys! I think we've got trouble!)

(Everyone looks up to see the boulders are rolling down right towards them.)

(The noise attracts the attention of everyone at the camp.)

Nurse Joy: "Hurry! Run for it!"

(Nurse Joy calls out.)

(The news reporter says.)

news reporter: "This excavation is off to a rocky start, as a dozen or more giant boulders are raining down on this intrepid, but terrified group!"

(Soon, the boulder heads right towards the TV crew.)

(Nurse Joy calls out.)

Nurse Joy: "Rhydon, Horn Drill that rock, now!"

(With that, Rhydon leaps into action.)

(and uses Horn Drill to shatter the boulder to pieces.)

(The reporter cheers.)

The reporter: "Amazing! For the second time today, a Pokemon saves the group from almost certain disaster!"

(Rhydon lets out a victory roar.)

The reporter: "Nice work, Rhydon!"

(The reporter says.)

(Later on, Mew and the others are investigating.)

(the area where the boulders used to be before they fell.)

Mew: "Guys, I'm starting to think something strange is going on. This happened to us twice since we got here."

(Mew says.)

(Then Misty says.)

Misty: "I think you're right. What if maybe these accidents aren't really accidents and instead somebody out there who's trying to get rid of us?"

(But Tracey says.)

Tracey: "Come on, this island is deserted."

Misty: "Maybe you're right."

(Misty replies.)

Mew: "I don't know, but me along with Pikachu, Eevee, and Kabuto sense that someone has been following us since we got here. Even the Growlithe senses something."

(Suddenly, Pikachu sees the figure running away.)

(Pikachu calls out.)

Pikachu: "Pika!" (Hold it!)

Mew: "Pikachu wait!"

(Mew calls out and chases after him.)

Everyone: "Mew, wait!"

(Everyone calls out.)

(Pikachu, Eevee, and Mew hurry into the forest.)

(Soon, Eevee notices.)

Eevee: "Eevee Eevee," (Mew, look up ahead!)

(Mew looks ahead to see the figure running away.)

(as Pikachu and Eevee catch up.)

Mew: "So, he's the one who's been dropping those rocks on us!"

(Mew says.)

Mew: "Pikachu, Eevee, follow him. I got an idea."

(Pikachu and Eevee rush after the figure instantly as Mew goes a different way.)

(Pikachu and Eevee continue to chase the figure's tail.)

(Mew is running towards the figure.)

(She jumps out and shouts.)

Mew: "Gotcha!"

(With that, Pikachu, Eevee, and Mew tackle the figure to the ground.)

Mew: "Alright, you!"

(Mew says.)

(But before anything else, the figure stands up.)

(and sends the group off of him.)

(Mew and the others look up to see the figure standing before them.)

Mew: "What do you want with us?"

(Mew demands.)

(Just then, the sound of a man says.)

The man: "Leave this island before it's too late."

(Mew and the Pokemon look at the figure as he repeats himself.)

The man: "Leave this island before it's too late."

Mew: "What?"

(Mew says, confused.)

(Just then, Mew hears Misty's voice.)

Misty: "Mew!"

(Mew turns her head to see the others running towards them.)

Tomo: "Mew!"

(Tomo calls out.)

Tracey: "Hey, guys! Is everything okay?!"

(Tracey asks.)

Mew: "Yeah, and the guy who's behind those rocks is right there!"

(Mew answers, standing up and points to the man.)

The man: "I'll tell you the same thing I told them! Get off this island!"

(The man says.)

(Just then, the man revealed to be somewhat of an elderly man.)

(with slightly tan skin, gray hair, thick gray eyebrows.)

(He is wearing a blue vest, light blue shirt, green shorts, and some kind of shell necklace.)

Nurse Joy: "Are you the one who's responsible for all the accidents with those boulders?"

(Nurse Joy asks.)

???: "You bet I am!"

(The man says.)

(Then the reporter says.)

the reporter: "Now, a shocking revelation as this deranged old man claims responsibility for those brutal attacks."

(The old man gets in front of the camera.)

???: "I'm not that old and I'm definitely not deranged! I'm just trying to do you people a big favor!"

The reporter: "A big favor?!"

(The reporter says, shocked.)

Mew: "You call those rocks favors?!"

(Mew questions, disapprove of the action.)

Misty: "The only thing you've done is put our lives in danger!"

(Misty says.)

Tomo: "Who are you anyway?"

(Tomo adds.)

Umberto: "I am Umberto. And the claim of you putting your lives in danger, that's not true. I tried to scare you off to protect you from danger."

(The man says.)

Mew: "Scare us off? That's a weird way of putting us."

(Mew says.)

Tracey: "To protect us?"

(Tracey questions.)

(Then Tomo asks.)

Tomo: "From what kind of danger?"

Nurse Joy: "Tell us what you're talking about."

(Nurse Joy adds.)

Umberto: "I'll tell everybody,"

(Umberto says.)

(He then takes the microphone from the reporter.)

(The reporter gets upset.)

The reporter: "Hey! That's my job!"

(Then Umberto announces.)

Umberto: "Hear and heed the ancient prophecy! When the scavengers arrive, the moon will glow an angry red. The land itself will vanish, and be swallowed by the sea."

Tracey: "Swallowed by the sea?"

(Tracey says, confused.)

Tomo: "What does that mean?"

(Tomo asks.)

Umberto: "If you disturb this island, you will bring about great harm!"

(Umberto says.)

(But Nurse Joy says.)

Nurse Joy: "But we didn't come here because we wanted to do any harm to the island, Umberto! We came here to study Kabuto fossils and that's all! We don't want to harm anything!"

(Yet Umberto says.)

Umberto: "You cannot disturb what lies here! Now go!"

(Misty says, angrily.)

Misty: "Well, who are you to start blaming us for disturbing your precious island?! You're the one who's disturbing the island by rolling those boulders and causing those rock slides, mister!"

Mew: "She's got a point there. You could just talk to us."

(Mew says, shrugging her shoulders.)

(But Umberto shouts.)

Umberto: "Quiet! Just stop arguing and get off Fukuhara Island!"

(Just then, a member of the expedition team comes running as he calls out.)

expedition member: "We found one! We found one! We've just found another Kabuto fossil!

Nurse Joy: "Let's see it!"

(Nurse Joy says.)

Tomo: "Alright!"

(Tomo happily cheers.)

(Everyone rushes over to see the fossils.)

(but Umberto is not pleased for being ignored.)

(Later on, the group explores the cave where the fossil is sound.)

(Soon enough, they are able to find the Kabuto fossil.)

(One of the team members says.)

team member: "There it is! Right there!

Nurse Joy: "There's no doubt about it! This is a genuine Dome Fossil!"

(Nurse Joy says.)

Mew: "Wow!"

(Mew says, amazed.)

(The reporter says.)

The reporter: "As you've just seen, the team has actually discovered a Dome Fossil, exclusively on PXT!"

(Soon, Tracey spots something.)

Tracey: "Could this be a..?"

(Then uses his magnifying glass to observe it.)

Tracey: "Hey! I just found another one!"

(Mew and the others rush over.)

Tracey: "This is a fossil, too! And this one! This is a really nice one, here!"

(Tracey says, looking around.)

(Nurse Joy says.)

Nurse Joy: "It looks like the walls of this cave are made of Dome Fossils!"

(Everyone looks around to see that the walls are indeed made of Dome Fossils.)

Tomo: "They sure don't look like fossils."

(Tomo says.)

(Nurse Joy takes out one of the shells and says.)

Nurse Joy: "See? These may just look like rocks, but they're actually Kabuto shells."

Tomo: "Wow. This is amazing!"

(Tomo says.)

Skwovet: "Skwovet," (Amazing.)

(Skwovet says.)

Meloetta: "Loetta," (Really amazing.)

(Meloetta says.)

(Soon, the news reporter says.)

news reporter: "This underground graveyard grotto is actually a mega mausoleum! A monument constructed by these incredible, calcified Kabuto carcasses!"

(Mew and Kabuto look around and for some strange reason.)

(Mew is starting to have an uneasy feeling, especially Kabuto.)

(Suddenly, one of the archeologists says.)

archeologists: "Okay, let's bring in Rhydon and start collecting!"

(He rushes to go get Rhydon, but Umberto blocks his way.)

(Umberto warns them.)

Umberto: "Stop! Disturbing this island will bring disaster!"

The member: "We're not disturbing, we're collecting."

(The member says.)

(Suddenly, the cave starts to rumble and crack.)

The member: "The cave's caving in!"

(The member panics.)

(Nurse Joy screams.)

Nurse Joy: "Everybody out!"

(With that, everyone begins to rush to the exit.)

(The reporter says.)

The reporter: "Our exclusive report is taking yet another dramatic twist! What could it be this time?"

(Soon, the smoke begins to clear a little.)

(and enough to see two familiar figures, and hear a familiar motto, Team Rocket's motto.)

Jessie: Prepare for trouble!

James: Make it double!

Jessie: To protect the world from devastation!

James: To unite all people within our nation!

Jessie: To denounce the evils of truth and love!

James: To extend our reach to the stars above!

Jessie: Jessie!

James: James!

Jessie: Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!

James: Surrender now or prepare to fight!

Meowth: Meowth! Dat's right!

Mew: "Them again!"

(Mew and the others call out.)

(Then Jessie says.)

Jessie: "So sorry we can't stay and snipe, but we've got to haul away this beauteous bounty of Kabuto booty!"

Meowth: "These'll make great doorstops at the boss' mansion!"

(Meowth says, holding the shell.)

(But Umberto gives them the same warning.)

Umberto: "No! If you disturb the Kabuto, a great disaster will befall us all!"

James: "Really?"

(James questions.)

(Soon Team Rocket begins laughing.)

(Then Jessie says.)

Jessie: "We wouldn't take them without giving you something in return."

(James pulls something from his back pocket.)

James: "Here, catch!"

(Umberto catches the object.)

(Thinking it's a bomb, he passes it to Tracey.)

(who passes it to Nurse Joy, who passes it to Misty.)

(who swats it away from her and into Tomo's hand, who passes it to Mew's hands.)

(Soon, Mew sees the fuse on the bomb.)

Misty: "Mew, it's going to explode! Throw it away!"

(Misty calls out.)

(Mew quickly disposes the bomb just in the nick of time.)

(but the blast causes the cave to cave in and more.)

(Soon, the fossils on the walls and ceiling fall.)

(to the ground and Team Rocket snatches it with a net.)

Jessie: "Our behavior is simply aBOMBinable, isn't it?"

(Jessie says and laughs.)

(Then the reporter announces.)

the reporter: "A trio of thieves has just escaped with a cache of Kabuto fossils right through the roof! And that's just where my numbers are gonna go when these reports start airing!"

Misty: "Don't you TV people care about anything but ratings?!"

(Misty questions.)

(Team Rocket's balloon begins to carry the fossils up into the air as they laugh in triumph.)

James: "We won the shell game!"

(James says.)

Meowth: "Success at last!"

(Meowth says.)

Jessie: "Even that red moonlight can't stop us now!"

(Jessie says.)

(Mew hears what Jessie says and asks.)

Mew: "Wait, did she just say red moonlight?"

(Soon, the light of the now bright red moon touches the Kabuto fossils.)

(they begin to change color, and soon begin to move.)

(Soon, Pikachu, Eevee, Kabuto, and even Mew notices something is off with the fossils in the cave.)

(Soon fossils in the cave begin to change color and come to life as well, and everyone is starting to notice.)

(Tomo asks.)

Tomo: "Do, fossils move?"

Mew: "No. Something's happening,"

(Mew says.)

(Then Misty asks in fright.)

Misty: "What's happening?"

Mew: "The Kabuto fossils are returning to life."

(Mew says.)

(Tracey say.)

Tracey: "She's right! The Kabuto fossils are coming back to life!"

Nurse Joy: "That's impossible!"

(Nurse Joy says, shocked.)

(The reporter says, shocked.)

The reporter: "As incredible as it may seem, the ancient Kabuto fossils now appear to be alive!"

(Just then, a Kabuto falls onto the camera.)

(causing the cameraman to become startled and drips the camera.)

(The camera falls to the ground and breaks, destroying the footage on it.)

(The reporter panics.)

The reporter: "Everything we've shot is in there!"

(Umberto calls out.)

Umberto: "Run for it!"

Misty: "From now on, I'm going to listen to all those ancient prophecies!"

Mew: "I think Team Rocket is going to learn that lesson as well."

(Mew says.)

(Speaking of Team Rocket, they find that the Kabuto fossils.)

(they collected are now coming to life and start attacking them.)

(Meowth screams.)

Meowth: "Hey! Get off of me, you selfish little shellfish!"

James: "Hey, that tickles!"

(James panics.)

(Soon one of the Kabuto pierces a hole in the balloon.)

(throwing all of them on board to the ground or to the sea, as Team Rocket are blasting off.)

(Team Rocket screams.)

Team Rocket: "We're blasting off again!"

(Meanwhile, Mew and the others evacuate.)

(from the cave to find the other archaeological team.)

(Nurse Joy calls out.)

Nurse Joy: "Come on, we're leaving!"

(The workers become puzzled.)

worker 1: "Leaving? Why? What's the matter?"

(One of them asks.)

Nurse Joy: "We've got to get everyone off Fukuhara Island, immediately!"

(Nurse Joy says.)

(One of them asks.)

worker 2: "I don't understand. Is something wrong?"

(Soon, the island begins to rumble like an earthquake.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Hey, Joy! Look!"

(Everyone looks to see Kabuto falling off.)

(the side of the cliff and into the ocean. It's like they're attached to the cliff.)

Nurse Joy: "Are those, Kabuto?"

(Nurse Joy asks.)

(Soon, they see another cliff lose the Kabuto that's been holding it in place.)

(Nurse Joy realizes.)

Nurse Joy: "This whole island must have built up around the fossilized Kabuto!"

Tracey: "Then that means.."

(Tracey says.)

(Soon Mew realizes and says.)

Mew: "The island is breaking apart!"

(Everyone begins to panic.)

(One of the members panics.)

member: "Let's head for the boat and get out of here!"

(But the other says.)

member 2: "We can't! The boat's too far away! There's nowhere we can run to!

(Just then, Umberto calls out.)

Umberto: "The forest! The prophecy says that when the sea comes to swallow you, flee to the forest, build rafts and save yourselves."

Mew: "Build rafts?"

(Mew questions.)

(Soon, Misty feels the water on her feet.)

Misty: "We're starting to sink!"

Mew: "Which means we don't have time."

(Mew says.)

(Then Umberto says.)

Umberto: "To the forest!"

Nurse Joy: "It's our only hope! Come on!"

(Nurse Joy says.)

Tomo: "Hurry!"

(Tomo calls out.)

(The reporter asks.)

The reporter: "Have you seen my makeup kit?"

news crew: "I think it's on the boat."

(One of the news crew answers.)

(Under the light of the red moon, all of the Kabuto begin to leave the island.)

(Meanwhile, Mew and the others call out their Pokemon along with Nurse Joy and their Team.)

(everyone working together to build rafts to save themselves.)

The reporter: "This is even more exciting than my two part special report on Kadabra spoon removal!"

(The reporter says, excited.)

(The Island continues to break apart and begins to sink.)

(Soon, the water comes towards everyone on the island.)

(Misty cries out.)

Misty: "The water's coming!"

Umberto: "Get on the raft!"

(Umberto calls out.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Lapras! Squirtle! Wartortle! Gyarados, help us out!"

(Then Misty calls out.)

Misty: "Goldeen! Staryu! Tirtouga!"

(With that, all the Pokemon are let out of their Pokeballs.)

Mew: "We need your help to pull the raft out to sea."

(Mew says.)

(Then throws the ropes and everyone have a rope to pull.)

(Mew calls out.)

Mew: "Okay, let's go!"

(With that, the Pokemon pulls the rafts along the wave for them to escape.)

(As the waves come at them, it knocks down the trees in their way.)

(The Pokemon hurry to get all the humans out of the island.)

(Finally, they make it out to the open sea and safety.)

Mew: "Wow! We made it!"

(Mew says, relieved.)

(Soon, Fukuhara Island 4 completely submerges and sinks into the water.)

(Soon, the group remembers the prophecy that Umberto explains.)

(to them as they see the Kabuto floating in the sea.)

(looking at the red moon in the dark night sky.)

(Tomo is the first to say it.)

Tomo: "When the scavengers arrive.."

(Then Mew say.)

Mew: "The moon will glow an angry red.."

(And Nurse Joy says.)

Nurse Joy: "The land itself will vanish, and be swallowed by the sea."

Misty: "Just like the prophecy."

(Misty replies.)

(Then Tracey says.)

Tracey: "The Kabuto must have been lying dormant for centuries in their fossilized form until the light from the red moon awakened them."

Nurse Joy: "Maybe that Kabuto oil let's them live forever, after all."

(Nurse Joy says.)

(She then walks to Umberto and says in remorse.)

Nurse Joy:: "All I can say is that I'm so very sorry that I didn't believe the prophecy and the warnings you gave us."

The reporter: "I think it's best that the world never learns the Kabuto secret,"

(The reporter says.)

(Then turns to the rest of the crew.)

The reporter: "Right?"

Umberto: "I think you're right. Thank you."

(Umberto says with a nod.)

(With that, the large herd of Kabuto begins to depart.)

Misty: "Where do you think those Kabuto are going?"

(Misty wonders.)

Tracey: "They must be looking for a place where it's safe. A new home where they can rest in peace until they come alive again."

(Tracey says.)

Mew: "Well, I hope they find a safe, new home."

(Mew says.)

(Pikachu, Eevee, and Kabuto agree on the idea.)

(Everyone watches as all the Kabuto leaves the sunken island.)

(to find a new home for them to live.)

(And so, another mystery of the Pokemon world has been revealed.)

(and is best to keep hidden from the world.)
