Chapter 56: Beach Day

Margo had never before in her entire existence sunned herself on the beach. Now she understood why humans did this. It was glorious and so warm. Cora was lying next to her on their blanket with her sunglasses perched on her nose. Jared was on Cora's other side and Antione was next to Margo.

They had been on the beach for a couple hours now. It was so nice to relax in the sun without worrying about anything for a day. Margo was so peaceful that she was starting to doze off.

Cora laughed aloud out of nowhere. "I was just thinking that if I was human, I would be badly sunburned or constantly applying sunscreen by now."

"I tried sunscreen to go outdoors before, but the problem is I had to apply it thicker than warpaint for it to help at all. Even then it wouldn't last an hour, and I was left sticky and irritated." Antione told her.

"That's pretty much how sunscreen works." Jared laughed. "I'm going to miss my tan."
