Chapter 59: Situation Escalates

"That scum has been trying to edge in on my territory for a while now, testing the limits. I know he answers to a higher authority so I have never paid him any mind but now he has crossed the limit."

Floozk's tone was calm, but the fury beneath was unmistakable.

August stared out the window, rage swirling in his own chest as he recalled Damon's brazen entry into his home. He truly did cross the line.

"So," Floozk continued, breaking August's thoughts, "when you said Damon, I knew it couldn't be anyone else. If he's got your dear one, then he's made this personal for both of us."

August's gaze hardened as he looked back at Floozk. "Then let's get this done."

Floozk's lips twisted into a grim satisfied smile. "Now you're speaking my language, Aleman."
