Chapter 12: End Of Vacation

"Sir, the two galaxy veins have been delivered to David," a voice reported through the speakers as Damon sat cross-legged on the ground, meditating.

Damon gave a subtle nod of acknowledgment before the call ended. Slowly, he opened his eyes and sighed. "This space element is really tough to control," he muttered, feeling the strain.

A month had passed since Damon arrived in Shanghai, where he began preparations for his upcoming plans. Despite his busy schedule, he never neglected his cultivation and continued to train diligently.

His shadow element had reached the limit of a Rank 1 Primary Mage, prompting him to shift his focus to cultivating the space element. However, he soon realized why it was considered one of the most difficult elements to master.

Space was a powerful element, one Damon was eager to control, but the spiritual power and mental strength required were immense. After weeks of practice, Damon could only control a single star.

From a general perspective, Damon's progress was extraordinary, but in his view, after cultivating three elements at a much faster pace, this growth felt frustratingly slow.

"If this keeps up, it might take more than six months to achieve 7-star control," Damon thought, frowning as he calculated.

"Six months is a long time," he mused. Reaching just the primary rank in six months felt like an eternity, but given the complexity of the space element, it was understandable.

"Hm, should I focus more on other elements for now?" Damon pondered. The space element might take a lot of time, so instead of dedicating himself fully to it, he considered focusing on his fire and shadow elements.

He didn't want to neglect the space element, knowing its potential, but in his current state, he needed strength that the space element couldn't provide, even after six months of effort.

Although Damon didn't need to be super strong at the moment and wasn't in any immediate danger, the future was unpredictable. If an emergency arose, having more power could be crucial.

The time required for the space element was, in Damon's view, enough to reach the third level in both fire and shadow elements—ones he could rely on in a crisis. Focusing solely on the space element might give him balance, but he would lack strength. Besides, there was no need for all his elements to be perfectly balanced.

"Well, it's decided. I'll focus on shadow and fire first and let them reach the third rank," Damon concluded.

As for the elements of lightning? Well let's say he has already planned for it, Damon plans on reaching second tier in lightning by the annual examination and the third rank by the third year of his highschool that would be enough in Damon's opinion.

'In this time, I might also find a way to solve my problem with the space element,' he thought, nodding to himself as he stretched and decided to take a break from cultivation. Stepping outside, Damon admired the beautiful scenery of Shanghai and cast his eyes on Oriental University in silence.

He had bought a luxurious apartment near the university for its prime location and had been living there during his vacation.

"The place here is better than Bo City," Damon muttered, enjoying the gentle breeze.

'Map,' he commanded mentally, and the map appeared, pinpointing other locations, some clustered together.

'This ability is really amazing,' Damon praised the system, fully aware of its usefulness. It had made him a billionaire in a short time and could potentially make him the richest person in the world if used properly.

With this talent, Damon secured not only the lands and resources he desired but also the talented individuals he needed for success. The map could even locate people with great potential, not only in magic but also in research, business, and other fields. Damon was increasingly fond of this ability.

Using it, he pinpointed the coordinates of talented individuals, then used the hunter's network to identify and recruit them in real life.

Damon knew that in the future, he would be too busy with cultivation to manage business matters, so he decided to recruit and train as many talented people as possible from the start, using money and luxuries to secure their loyalty.

He plans on having these talented individual bloom into the experts who are loyal to him and have them take care of crown group on his behalf and take it to the heights as he desired.

Being a mage if Damon wants to attain the absolute power like Mo Fan has attained or even greater than Mo fan's then Damon would need to be properly focused on cultivation and can't let his concentration waver for resources or other luxuries he would need hence he is taking this route.

He invested in and bought a small and backward mercenary group in Central Africa ruled by a lord with military power in dire need of financial support, talented information gatherers to build his own team for hunter's network, researchers of various magics, and strong individuals to nurture. Damon invested all his wealth into various fields. It was a bold move, spreading himself thin without a proper foundation, but Damon went ahead anyway.

Money wasn't an issue for Damon, and within a few months, all these investments would start generating income. If everything went well, they would slowly take the ideal shape Damon envisioned, managed by the talents he recruited. Until then, he needed to provide enough money and operate at a loss until his plans bore fruit.

Money was no longer a problem for Damon. After a break from the healing seed, he became active on the hunters' network again, providing locations for various seeds and earning money. This time, the situation wasn't as outrageous as before, so Damon quietly made his fortune, which he planned to invest in his schemes.

After a short break, Damon returned to his cultivation. The rest of his vacation passed without major events, just Damon cultivating or managing the affairs of his Crown Group.
