Chapter 11: Vacation Begins
"What's wrong?" Mo Fan asked quizzically as he pushed the wheelchair, noticing the strange gaze of the girl beside him.
"It hasn't even been half a year since you awakened. From what I've read, even people with high innate talent usually take nearly a year to fully activate primary rank skills," Ye Xinxia replied, her eyebrows furrowed with concern.
After dealing with some ruffians who had messed with Ye Xinxia—his stepsister and future lover—Mo Fan found himself wandering through the park with her. As they walked, she questioned him about his progress as a mage.
Mo Fan was stunned.
No way... even people with high innate talent need nearly a year to go from awakening to activation?
Wait a minute... didn't Damon also manage to cast a primary spell before? Mo Fan tilted his head in confusion as he listened to Ye Xinxia's explanation.
"What are you saying? Is it not normal for people to use primary rank skills after six months?"
"Mhm," Ye Xinxia nodded earnestly. "Even Mu Ningxue, who is considered the most talented person in Bo City, needed eight months to go from awakening to mastering the Ice Element's primary skill. Her talent surpasses numerous geniuses in the Empire. There are also geniuses from great clans who can achieve this level faster, but they're mostly backed by extensive resources."
"W-what!" Mo Fan was shocked. If Mu Ningxue, who is so talented, took eight months, then what kind of talent does Mo Fan possess? He had reached this level in just five months! And what about Damon, who managed it even before him?
Since the day of awakening, Mo Fan had paid close attention to Damon. His cultivation and strength had always overshadowed everyone. Seeing Damon's growth, Mo Fan had considered his own progress normal, if not lagging, despite his dual elemental talent allowing him to cultivate twice as much as a normal person.
Yet, even with that advantage, Mo Fan's cultivation was behind Damon's at every point. He had assumed his talent was poor... but what the hell? Was he actually talented all along? Mo Fan felt a surge of confidence after Ye Xinxia's explanation, but he couldn't help frowning as he wondered how Damon's cultivation was progressing so quickly.
"Big Brother Mo Fan, you… did you do something bad? I heard from an old scholar that this kind of cultivation speed is only possible for people associated with the Black Vatican," Ye Xinxia's whisper snapped Mo Fan out of his thoughts, revealing the existence of the Black Vatican to him for the first time.
The rest of the day passed with Mo Fan lying about being pre-awakened while assuring Ye Xinxia that he wasn't involved in anything shady. But as they traveled together, Mo Fan couldn't help but wonder:
'Is Damon related to the Vatican?'

'Is someone thinking about me?' Damon wondered, rubbing his nose as he gazed at the beautiful clouds floating majestically in the orange sky.
Sitting by the window, Damon enjoyed the view as he rode the train. Yes, a train in the magical world. With no school and nothing significant to do back in Bo City, Damon had decided to travel to Shanghai for the next few months.
'Well, I'll reach Shanghai in a few hours… then tomorrow, I'll start my plan.'
For the past six months, Damon had been lying low after the incident with the healing soul seed. The money he had received remained untouched, and now that the situation had calmed down, it was time for Damon to execute his future plans.
In Shanghai, Damon had arranged meetings with lawyers and other professionals to help him create his own business empire. This would give him the influence and financial support he needed for the future while using his abilities to the fullest.
After careful consideration and planning, which Damon had started long before receiving the system, knowing the abilities he would gain, he was ready.
As he thought about his plans, Damon enjoyed the scenery of the forest as the sun set and the moon began to rise.
Upon arriving in Shanghai, Damon indulged in the luxurious services of a five-star hotel for the first time in his two lives. The next day, he finally met with the people he had been planning to meet.
Damon established 'Crown Group,' a corporation under which he intended to operate. He completed the legal procedures and finalized various deals.
Damon's first step under Crown Group was to buy land—key to his financial success. Although many of the properties Damon had his eye on were out of his budget or controlled by powerful beasts, he secured the most valuable and affordable ones. He also purchased the most crucial pieces of land within his budget to lock them in early.
Next, Damon met with struggling mining companies, buying a few that could still operate, and hired security companies with mages to protect the mines from beasts or other threats.
Most of the services Damon utilized were third-party providers, as he couldn't buy all the companies given some were valued over a billion while some had multiple shareholders so he just went for the simplest route for the moment as he needed to get operations running as quickly as possible for his future plans.
This is just the first phase of his plan and already has Damon spent hundreds of millions of dollars as initial investment given the scale Damon wants to operate from the start.
"If all goes according to plan, operations should start in three months..." Damon muttered to himself as he gazed down at the beautifully lit city of Shanghai from a great height, savoring the view in silence drowned in unknown thoughts that only he knows about.

Sorry for not updating yesterday, was busy with a few things while finally being finished with re reading the novel and also the new volume of it (Honest opinion didn't find as exciting as before till holy city attack).. dude didn't you all feel after the holy city arc the emphasis of 'China' became more visible and the balance of nationalism begin to waver.. well I did a bit maybe only for me after reading too much of Chinese novels.. well anyway here's my questions for today can you list the abilities of Demon elements and its influence?
