Chapter 58: The advice

Lady Maria's birthday extravaganza was a publicity draw, a crowd pleaser and a raving success.

It would be the talk of the town for weeks to come as the Maximillian's had simply outdone themselves. 

A shiver of mock horror ran down Lithe's spine as he thought about reviewing the ledgers later since the Maximillian's had gone all out and spared no expense that night.

Lithe was also worn out from being introduced to several people at a time and took shelter in a secluded balcony.

From the balcony Lithe sipped on a mimosa, a mix of champagne blended with orange juice, the citrusy flavor reminded him of Zen's pheromones. 

Vibrant streamers shimmered across the ballroom ceiling as laughter and music echoed into the night. 

The room also displayed some of the more exclusive pieces from their Fall collection and Lithe had already been bombarded with a surplus of requests for express orders and delivery.
