Chapter 23: Nowhere to run

The kidnapper dug the knife in Lithe's skin so deep that it drew blood.

Lithe was tired of thugs like this thinking he was a pushover because of his looks. 

He had to stay strong, cowards like this always messed up.

For now he would play it cool, do whatever the kidnapper said and wait for an opportune moment to make his escape.

Even as he planned ahead mentally that didn't stop his hands from trembling with fear.

Lithe reminded himself that this was not the time to show the bastard that he was afraid.

There was no room to backaway, Lithe had nowhere to run.

"Open your palm," said the chauffeur.

Lithe did as he was told and the kidnapper dropped a large purple pill in his hand.

"Now go over there," the chauffeur said.

He pointed to the dresser table and on it was a clear crystal decanter filled with red wine and a stack of glasses.

"Swallow the pill," demanded the kidnapper.
