Amelia took pride in herself, her plan seemed to be working, and it was only a matter of time before she got what she wanted. She knew damn well that Lucian was the prince, and she had been living here for almost a decade now. However, she didn't plan on telling the truth, nor did she plan to hand Lucian over to the palace anytime soon.
Her plan was to ensnare the prince with her charms and her cheery nature, and then force him into marrying her one way or another. She knew it wouldn't be as easy as it was in her head, but she was willing to take the risks and her time.
Amelia knew that Lucian would be a challenge. He was clearly wary of her, and it would take more than a few baskets of eggs to win him over. But Simon seemed more trusting, more open to her overtures of friendship. She could use that to her advantage. If she could convince Simon that she was harmless, that she could be a valuable ally, then Lucian would eventually follow.
