The first thing Miriam did after his half brother and his squire were done resting was move them out of her house to a little cottage she had purchased a couple months ago. The cottage was a lot closer to the tax office where she worked, but she hadn't really had the chance to properly move there. Nobody knew she was the owner of the place, and that was exactly why it was the perfect place for Lucian and Simon to stay.
She knew it wouldn't be long before their father or half brothers came looking for Lucian in her place, and she had predicted that correctly. A couple hours ago, a dozen guards had showed up to question and search her place for the prince. And as she had planned, they had found absolutely nothing. She had to put up a drama to convince them that she was equally in search of her half brother, and although it wasn't exactly convincing, it was enough to make the guards leave.
