Chapter 214: Illusions of the heart

Overwhelmed by Kael's response, the demoness pushed his chest and moved away. Freeing herself from Kael's grip, she sucked her teeth.

"It's sad we have to remain enemies when we are both hell-dwellers," she shrugged, flipping her hair. "Our kind should assist, not fight like these humans do...but its okay, watchingyou breath your last wont be such a bad idea." she mused, wiping the blood on her hand all over her dress.

Kael moved his shoulders up and down. Pushing the chair forward, he sat on it and placed his leg on the table, crossing one over the other. "You know your way out."

"Not so gentlemanly of you, huh?" The demoness huffed, making her way towards the door. Then she stopped, holding the door knob. "I was going to tell you about your family... and, oh, your poor sister. She was just this little when the ritual started. You think she might be grown now?"
