Kael cocked his head to the side, "This is not an infirmary but a castle. Have you lost your way?" he asked calmly, not breaking his gaze from the unconscious little girl. Judging from her faint heartbeat, the child might not survive if she wasn't treated immediately.

Iva raised her dirt-covered face. She had thought of the safest place to keep the human girl, and all she could think of was Kael. "I didn't… I'm at the right place. Please help her..."

Herschel narrowed his eyes. "Iva, what are you doing here? Who is the child you're holding?" the old man asked.

At the same time, Jacquelyn, who was holding Griselda's hand and swinging it happily, joined them outside. When she saw Iva, she furrowed her brows worriedly. The girl's shirt was torn, and her body was covered in what looked like coal. Her usual stoic expression was gone, replaced with a worried look.
