Chapter 8: Decision and Preparations

"Then I'll head back first, Uncle Bardock."

After a long conversation with Bardock, Talot left once he had learned everything he wanted to know.

"Alright, remember to come early for dinner tonight."

Watching Talot leave, Bardock didn't say anything more.

As Talot departed, Bardock unconsciously glanced at the room where Kakarot's incubator was, his expression growing more solemn.

Earlier, he had deliberately avoided certain topics, only telling Talot about some insignificant mission details.

But only he knew that a great storm was about to sweep across Planet Vegeta, and if the Saiyan race made one wrong move, they might be obliterated from history.

"Is there really such a coincidence in this world? I hope I'm just overthinking," Bardock muttered.

Although that Elec guy was somewhat unreliable, the information he provided, combined with the attack on the palace yesterday, Bardock unconsciously piece things together and conclude that Frieza was secretly targeting the Saiyans.

After thinking it over, Bardock made a decision.

Regardless of whether what the people of the Heeter Force said was true or not, he had to be prepared.

If it was true, he needed to make all the arrangements beforehand and at least send Kakarot and Talot away.

If it was false, he could bring the two kids back later. It would just cost some time, with no real loss.

As for Raditz, he would be departing with the prince's team soon, so there was no need to worry about him.

"Could it be that King Vegeta has also received some reliable information, which is why he's sending Prince Vegeta out to conquer planets at this critical moment?" Bardock wondered.

It hadn't occurred to him before, but now it seemed like an attempt to protect Prince Vegeta from the impending storm.

...

After leaving Bardock's house, Talot was no longer as indecisive as before.

Once he returned home, he meticulously began planning everything he needed to leave Planet Vegeta.

At this critical juncture, all he could do without enough power was go with the flow.

In this world, only by having enough power can one do what they want.

"A large spaceship is out of the question with my rank, but as an upper-class warrior, I should be able to get a medium-sized spaceship with Bardock's connections.

"With that, I can take enough supplies.

"The most important thing is to obtain healing medicine and healing liquid, and it's best to get some raw materials as well. With the raw materials for research, I can have an endless supply in the future."

As Talot muttered to himself, his previously scattered thoughts formed into a complete plan.

"Right, maybe I can get some Saibaman seeds. These things have a power level of 1200 and are completely obedient to the planter, making them the most loyal subordinates." With this thought, Talot reviewed his previous ideas.

However, not all upper-class warriors could apply for them; only elite upper-class warriors had the right to use them.

But just because he couldn't get them didn't mean others couldn't.

Bardock should have a way, and perhaps even Raditz could leverage his current status to get some.

In the original work, Raditz was indeed a failure, but the current Raditz was doing quite well.

Having a father with a power level over ten thousand meant it was impossible to keep a low profile.

And being an upper-class warrior, his status was naturally higher.

Talot had even heard some words flattering Raditz.

For instance: "If his low-class warrior father has such a high power level, Raditz will surely surpass Bardock."

Surpassing Bardock...

Raditz indeed had such dreams. If the Saiyans weren't facing a planetary crisis and racial destruction, he might have had a chance to develop.

Unfortunately, in the original work, after the destruction of Planet Vegeta, without anyone to guide him, he became a complete waste.

Twenty years later, his power level was only 1500, nearly ten times less than his father's peak.

...

Time passed quickly; after over an hour.

After finalizing all the necessary items, Talot began considering other aspects.

The most crucial thing was figuring out how to take Aunt Gine with him.

Speaking of which, with his status as an upper-class warrior, he could freely mobilize several low-class warriors to assist him during missions.

But the problem is, he's still a child!

And this time, he's essentially going to conquer a medium-level planet on his own. Given the difficulty level, it's uncertain whether he can apply for some personnel.

"If worst comes to worst, I'll have to ask Bardock to speak on my behalf. If Aunt Gine knows I want her to come along to take care of me, she probably won't refuse," he mumbled.

Right now, Aunt Gine was most concerned about Kakarot.

But once Kakarot is sent away, she'll have no other attachments.

"If she comes with me, she'll get to visit Earth as well. Aunt Gine would probably love that," he said to himself.

Unfortunately, saving Bardock would be extremely difficult.

Coming with him is out of the question! Especially in the face of the impending destruction of Planet Vegeta. If Bardock knew, he would undoubtedly stay to defend against the powerful enemy.

Even if he revealed his secret of being a transmigrator and told him everything, it would likely backfire.

He might even end up getting killed by Bardock for revealing his true identity.

After all, if not for his transmigration and rebirth, he was originally the son of Bardock's brother.

Undoubtedly, Talot would be seen as an invader.

"Forget it, maybe when I get to Earth, or if I find Namek, I can use the Dragon Balls to resurrect Bardock." He continued pondering his plans.

There's no way Bardock would come; there's no doubt about that.

In the end, he is still too weak.

If he were strong enough, stronger than Bardock, he could just knock him out and take him away.

And he wouldn't have to think about so many things; if he wanted to leave, no one on Planet Vegeta could stop him.

"Reality is so cruel. Frieza has a power level of 530,000. He doesn't even need to transform; a casual energy blast could destroy Planet Vegeta.

"If the Saiyans knew Frieza's power level, they probably wouldn't dare to have any thoughts of rebellion."

Collecting his thoughts, Talot took a deep breath and sat cross-legged on his bed.

After a breakthrough in training yesterday and sensing Bardock's aura today, along with their conversation and his own realizations, it seemed he had gained new insights into the training of Ki.

Just like that, without realizing it, the afternoon passed.

As night fell, Talot concluded his Ki consolidation training.

His strength seemed to have made a breakthrough again, especially in the use of Ki.
