Chapter 42: Chapter 42
The video started with the camera facing a certain window from the roof, judging from the angle.
The video only shows the reflection of the window. However, seconds later it would then refocus itself and finally show what's on the other side of the window.
The Hokage's office.
Sarutobi Hiruzen is then shown, sitting in his usual spot, looking busy thanks to the dozens of paperwork he's currently managing.
But out of nowhere...
—THUD!
The door was swung open loudly.
Shimura Danzo then entered the room and held a crumpled scroll in his hand. Upon arriving in front of the Hokage's table, Danzo then gave that very scroll to Hiruzen and said in a pretty irritated manner.
"As I told you before, we should've got rid of those damn Uchihas long ago! Look what happened now! Some of them started poking their noses in places they shouldn't, causing problems in our plan!"
Sarutobi Hiruzen, after reading the scroll given to him, blew a smoke and said in an unchanging tone "It seems that my judgment of them was indeed wrong. I thought we could solve this without causing a situation but... we are now at the critical point of our plan. We can't afford any more disturbances unlike before."
The frown on Danzo's face only worsened upon hearing this.
"I already knew that this was bound to happen with those savages around us. The recent War could've been a perfect way to weaken the Uchihas even further. Getting rid of them would've been much easier now. But no, that didn't happen cause you kept saying no!"
Even though Danzo spoke in such a manner, Hiruzen remained calm. "Stop worrying so much, it's not good for your health. Besides, It's not like I made no preparations for such matters."
"There's a reason why our clans are now one of the biggest in the entire village. Besides, Asuma was there. Even if the information reaches the Daimyo, he can handle it for us."
Although this did little to appease Danzo, his expression visibly lightened.
"What reason would we use to wipe out the Uchiha clan?"
Hearing Danzo's question, Hiruzen chuckled for a little bit and said "Just go for the usual one. Uchiha clan attempted to launch a coup, and before they could do that, we stopped them."
Danzo simply nodded in reply and was about to leave. But seeing the remaining frown on his friend's face, Hiruzen couldn't help himself but sigh and call out to him before he reached the door.
"Danzo, don't stress yourself too much, this will all be over soon. Once we put the Daimyo in our control, our, especially your name, will be passed down and admired by future generations. We will make sure of that."
Danzo was about to go out of the door but paused upon hearing this. And although he simply nodded again, and didn't say anything about it, his expression clearly showed that he was pleased to hear what he just heard.
Right after that, Danzo kept going again. He opened the door and was about to go out, but...
!!!
He noticed something.
Like ghosts in horror films, his head suddenly turned to look at the camera.
"Who?!"
Then the next moments after that, the video shook violently, accompanied by lots of panicked gasps.
Although the video darkened a little bit and is no different than a blurry mess, the moment when the cameraman summoned a Ninja cat and hurriedly stuffed the camera in the pocket of that cat's clothes happened, it was still shown pretty clearly.
"Garfield, I'll entrust this to you now. Bring this back to Kayn, no matter what."
"I will nya~!"
"Go quickly!"
Then, the screen went black and the camera kept shaking violently.
After an unknown amount of time, a gentle voice sounded "Garfield? What are you doing here? Where is your stupid master?"
That cat named Garfield meowed in response "My master told me to give you this thing in my pocket nya~."
Afterward, the camera was taken out, and Kayn's face was shown.
Only then, did the video stop abruptly.

Kayn let out a breath, pointed at the camera, and smiled nicely "It's done."
The making of this entire video didn't even last for an entire day. Although such a length of time is still a couple of hours long, for those who stayed at the sides and watched Kayn do his thing, felt like it's only been a couple of minutes.
That's how immersed they were. It's as if whenever Kayn acts, whatever he'll do next becomes the reality itself. That's how phenomenal it was. For the first time, they discovered that such an art could be used in this way. It is simply amazing.
In any case, right after changing clothes, Kayn didn't linger for much longer. Although he managed to go ahead of his schedule, he still can't relax.
He needs to use all the time he has on his hands as accurately as possible.
"Elder Setsuna, since we still have time, please arrange for Hatake Kakashi's Sharingan removal surgery today."
Uchiha Setsuna's eyes widened upon hearing this "Have you figured out a way to convince him?"
Kayn shook lightly shook his head in response and smiled bitterly "To be honest, I'm not too sure."
Seeing his disappointed look, Setsuna gave Kayn a pretty comforting smile and said "It doesn't matter if you fail. You've already done so much."
"But you have to be careful though. Hatake Kakashi, he's just as cunning as you. Be careful not to let him notice anything unusual."
Kayn simply nodded in response, however, he didn't pay too much attention to the Elder's reminder.
In the first place, his real purpose for getting in contact with Kakashi was not to persuade him to help them rebel. But for his Kamui!
Transplanting Kakashi's Kamui, as said before, is a very risky move... but at this point, which move he made is not a risky move?
When you are weak and in a desperate situation, every step you take is risky.
So right now, Kayn can simply do nothing but go on with his risky plan while praying to Lady Luck so that his gambles succeed with little to no problem.
Three hours later, the sun had finally set.
Around this time, Kakashi finally arrived at the Uchiha compound, alone. And under the guidance of a certain clan member, he would then be led to where the surgery is supposed to happen.
And boy was he surprised to find out that it wasn't in some kind of hospital or clinic, but in a small house in the backyard of somebody's house.
Yes, that very house is Kayn's house.
Well, it was Kayn himself who suggested that the removal surgery shouldn't happen at Konoha Hospital. And that is for obvious reasons.
Cause there, he would have no way of knowing how many eyes would watch him.
That's obviously bad especially since he planned to tell no one, literally no one, that he wanted to transplant Kakashi's eye into him right after it was removed.
Besides, although removing the Sharingan requires a certain level of medical ninjutsu, the Uchiha clan is not short of experts in this area.
"Hello, my name is Kayn Uchiha. I am tasked with keeping your Sharingan temporarily after it is removed."
Kakashi looked at Kayn and nodded lazily "Yes. Thank you for your help."
"Well, the doctor is already in the room. But before going in, as per the regulation, please change your clothes first, Kakashi-senpai."
