Kayn rubbed his eyes, the stinging pain he was getting from it made it really itchy.
He turned to look outside the window. Although it's purely a placebo, his eyes started feeling somewhat fine after looking at the peaceful scenery outside.
"Does your eye feel sore and tired?" Kamakura's shadow clone appeared behind him and asked.
"Well, after practicing for a pretty long time, my eyes feel a little uncomfortable now."
Hearing this, Kamakura nodded in understanding. "That's normal. Don't worry. Tomorrow, I will bring some medicine you can use as a drop. It can surely relieve some discomfort in your eyes."
Kayn's eyes after hearing this visibly lit up because such medicine would surely be a great help for him.
Although, from the sound of it, it's just some kind of pain reliever and not some magical potion that could instantly restore his eye to peak condition, Kayn isn't disappointed at all.
Based on his current pace, if he were to continue having aftermath like this, not long, he would probably have no choice but to take a couple of days of rest to recover.
Something that he cannot afford currently.
"Thank you, Sir Kamakura. That would really be helpful."
Kamakura's shadow clone waved his hand. Then say something completely unrelated to the topic.
"Kayn, it seems that Setsuna-sama is asking you to come over and join him for dinner."
Hearing this, Kayn simply nodded. Actually, even if the Elder didn't ask him to join, he was planning to shamelessly go there anyway and join the meal.
Well, It's not that he can't get his own food. If he wanted to, he could definitely go outside and buy something to eat from the stalls but, that would be a complete waste of time.
As mentioned before, he has to make use of every second he has before they initiate their main plan.
That's why, even something as simple as having dinner, has to have some purpose behind it.
In regards to eating with the Elder, his purpose for that was to clearly build up and deepen their relationship even more. Bringing him and the other party closer.
As to why he would do that. Well, relationships are like glass. It's easy to shatter even with a little impact. And for Kayn, who greatly relies on his relationship with the Elder, he has to make it as sturdy as possible so the moment someone tries to hit it, it wouldn't break that easily.
Going on a pretty similar case, he wanted to also ask the Elder if there was any way to solve his problem concerning his chakra consumption.
Restoring the chakra is a troublesome and tiring matter. Every time he is emptied of Chakra, he has to rest and then goes through an entire process of refilling his entire pool. Then repeat.
This back-and-forth limited Kayn's efficiency.
The training results of the 'shadow clone method' are of course effective, but there is that experience penalty.
The experience gained by the shadow clone is considerably fewer compared to the original. And with only three shadow clones in his arsenal, it is difficult to reach level 3 in a week for both acting and voice skills.
Not to mention that each shadow clone will equally share the chakra of the main body.
The more shadow clones there are, the more it will affect Kayn's training. Time is too short, so he really has to think of another way.
Obviously, he didn't forget about the existence of military pills, which can be a solution as well for his problem... but the after-effects of it are simply insane.
So right now, Kayn could only pray that the Uchiha clan, with its thousands of years of existence, has something similar to that pill that has nothing or at least, not too severe after-effects.
And in any case there is actually such a thing... He hopes that Elder Setsuna won't be stingy enough to let him have at least a couple of them.

"How is today's meal? Is it to your liking?"
Kayn couldn't help but chuckle and said, "It tastes great, I really like it. But... the quantity of food is a little small. It would be even better if there was more meat."
The Elder smiled after hearing this. He liked Kayn's honesty.
"Kamakura, bring the other dish here."
The butler simply nodded and went to the kitchen. Moments later, he brought a number of dishes in front of Kayn.
Something that Kayn himself, was surprised by.
He thought that their small dinner was already over and yet, there was more food left.
Seeing Kayn's absurd expression, Setsuna laughed lightly and explained "I had them prepared specially for you. Don't forget, I was also your age."
Ninjas usually eat more than ordinary people.
Using chakra consumes a lot of physical and spiritual energy.
Energy does not appear out of thin air. Lots of foods are needed because it is the main source of supplementation.
Honestly, compared to ordinary people, it's easy to identify a ninja as some kind of Glutton.
In any case, seeing all the foods brought in front of him, made Kayn a little too intimidated. Back in his past life, he only saw such a quantity of food in some food challenges or mukbang streamers, but now, he has to eat this all just for dinner!?
'Damn. Be careful what you wish for indeed...'
Summoning all his willpower to devour all the food like a whirlwind, Kayn's suffering finally ended in just a couple of minutes. He really tried his best to finish all that food so he won't look like an ungrateful son of a b*tch for requesting more and not having the balls to finish it.
"You have quite an appetite as well. Back when I was your age, I also liked to indulge myself in various foods right after training." Uchiha Setsuna showed approval.
Kayn couldn't even make a response, fearing that another bunch of food would come out of the kitchen again. That's why he quickly made a move and switched the conversation back to the main reason why he was here in the first place.
"Elder Setsuna, I'm just wondering, is there any method in the clan that speeds up chakra recovery?"
Uchiha Setsuna stroked his beard for a moment and said, "Hmm... Of course, there is. It is similar to the Military Pills. The effect was not as potent, but due to that, the side effects were lessened greatly. However, it still cannot be taken frequently."
"If you need anything in the future, just tell Kamakura about it. No need to come to me every time."
"However, In regards to the pill, you are only allowed to get a couple of it. It is extremely hard to make, making our supply of it not great. So as much as I wanted to give you many of it, we can't."
Hearing that the pill that he needed actually existed and that he could have some of it, made Kayne's excitement go through the roof. He couldn't even be bothered to be disappointed that he couldn't have too many of it.
"I- It's really fine Elder Setsuna! For me to have one of those amazing pills is already enough. So a couple of them... I am already very grateful for it!!" Kayn, despite his full stomach, stood up and bowed his head sincerely.
And Setsuna on the other hand, seeing Kayn's sincere attitude, made a smile and gesture for him to sit back down again.
After that, both of them started chatting about various topics.
At one point, the Elder even began talking about his past. The glory days when he was still young and active as a shinobi... Which Kayn listened patiently to. He even made jokes from time to time, making the Elder laugh.
As they chatted about the past, Uchiha Setsuna suddenly fell deep into his thoughts. He looked at the scenery outside the house and remained silent.
Even though Uchiha Setsuna has been in charge of the Clan for many years and has great power, when he got old, like any old person, he sincerely longed for family affection.
Well, for someone as old as him, who could blame him for feeling loneliness?
Back then when he was young, he devoted his everything to the Clan. So much so that before he could even know it, it was already too late to start a family of his own.
He used to make the work as an excuse to numb such feelings, but after arranging for Fugaku to take over, everything simply caught up to him again.
But at that point, he already learned to accept everything.
That's why he chose to simply devote himself to prospering young talents of the younger generation in his clan.
Uchiha Fugaku, Uchiha Shisui, Uchiha Itachi and other ninjas in the Konoha Police Force. He treated them all like they were his own children.
However...
Among them, the most outstanding, Uchiha Fugaku, Uchiha Itachi, and Uchiha Shisui, were either massive disappointments or died tragically at the hands of Konoha's officials.
At this time, Kayn, who had a good relationship with Shisui, came into his sight, revealing his extraordinary talents.
So, it's safe to say that, to some extent, Kayn simply continued Uchiha Setsuna's regard for Shisui...
And although Kayn is not from this world, his original body is indeed from here, and has a close relationship with Shisui.

And now, with a serious face, he said "A couple of hours ago, Fugaku came here. He said he wanted you to be in charge of searching for Shisui's body."
