"Kamakura, I simply want to ask him..." Facing his confidant who had followed him for many years, Uchiha Setsuna patiently explained.
"So, you go outside and be on watch again."
"...Yes, Lord Setsuna." Kamakura breathed a sigh of relief, stood up, and disappeared.
"Let's take care of your injuries first." Setsuna raised his arm and gave a gesture at Kayn. "Sit down and talk."
Kayn took out a roll of white medical bandage from his ninja tool bag and bandaged himself.
He is not worried about contracting any kind of infection.
The ninja tool bag and the kunai inside were soaked in alcohol and were disinfected beforehand.
Why?
Because from the minute he entered this room, he had been acting, obviously enough.
He was also pretending to be controlled by the Sharingan's illusion.
Actually, If he didn't make his clone rehearse during the day, coupled with the fact that his acting and voice skills leveled up earlier, the chance of his lies being exposed just now is undoubtedly high.
But thanks to all that, he has finally entered the final stage.
The closer it got to the final moment, the more Kayn dared to not relax.
In any case, after Kayn fully bandaged his wound, Setsuna wasted no more time and decided to hop back to the main topic.
"So, why did you say that we can't inform Fugaku about this?"
Kayn heard this and didn't answer right away. He first breathed heavily, his expression also turned sharp before he opened his mouth again.
"Because it's most likely useless."
In a usual setting, hearing this kind of response would be more than enough to cause Uchiha Setsuna to be angry. Such disrespectful remarks would normally not get past him unscathed.
Yet, right now, for some reason, none of that happened, weirdly so. His expression remained unchanged even after hearing Kayn's words.
However, this did not mean that he took no offense from that. At the end of the day, he's still an Elder of the Clan.
"Useless huh? You better have a good reason for saying that."
"I do. Well, you see, Itachi is Lord Fugaku's most beloved child. As a father, he will surely choose to protect his children, which is commendable... But as the Leader of our Clan, it is not."
After pausing for a few seconds, Kayn continued.
"The Kyuubi incident and these past few years are already enough for us to see Lord Fugaku's true nature. In times of peace, he is definitely a very qualified and good Leader. But now with the current situation within the Clan, his attitude and way of working will only lead us to our graves."
As a young member, it was obviously inappropriate for Kayn to criticize the Head of the Clan in front of an elder.
Especially to the Elder who literally appointed the current clan leader to his position.
To criticize Fugaku is basically the same as criticizing Setsuna.
But the way Kayn worded everything out makes his "criticism" more of a praise really. So in the end, Uchiha Setsuna did not feel offended.
Well, kindness is a very special word. In some contexts, it is even considered by many as nothing but a weakness.
Hearing all this, Setsuna sighed. His expression also turned complicated.
"You're not wrong. Fugaku... is indeed a little too kind."
Setsuna didn't notice that he subconsciously ignored Kayn's age and treated him as a person with whom he could communicate.
Realizing this, Kayn continued calmly.
"Lord Fugaku believes in Konoha's higher-ups and naively thinks that they will simply give us a fair answer. But in fact, this is just a disguise. A trap in order to fool us."
Uchiha Setsuna nodded, finally showing a slight interest. "Why do you say that the higher-ups of Konoha are pretending?"
Kayn clenched his fists, and simultaneously the flame within his eyes grew even larger... yet, his voice was still as calm as ever.
It shows the anger of a young man after seeing the reality clearly, but he is able to restrain this burning emotion and not let it affect his rationality.
As they said, getting angry is an instinct, but controlling anger is a skill.
"After the second Hokage took office, he handed the security of the village over to the clan. It seems generous at first, but I now realize that they must've done this to keep our clan away from the center of Konoha's power."
Hearing this, Uchiha Setsuna's cloudy eyes lit up slightly. Regarding this fact, he only figured this out after he got older. Unexpectedly, Kayn already realized this even at such a young age.
"No wonder Shisui thought that he had a way to solve this entire problem."
Setsuna now had more expectations and recognition of the boy sitting in front of him. He stared at Kayn, and his sharp eyes could easily bring great pressure to people.
Kayn however, did not avoid his gaze and continued calmly.
"This is an offensive move against our clan. Given the nature of our clan members, this makes it easy for us to cause conflict with the ordinary people of Konoha. And conflicts, no matter if it's big or small, accumulate to a certain extent. Soon, an exclusion would surely incur."
"Thanks to that, by the time the third Hokage took office, the living environment of our clan became extremely harsh. He also used the 'Will of Fire' as a disguise to launch another attack on us. During the Second and Third Ninja Great Wars, we sacrificed a large number of our clan members. In return, we almost got nothing but the fact that our clan was weakened."

"Elder Setsuna, our clan is currently in great danger of getting wiped out!"
Kayn emphasized his tone once again with a much resounding voice.
"Our current situation is the most dangerous our clan has been in. We must act immediately!"
Kayn said to the end, leaning forward, his eyes no longer calm, like a volcano about to erupt! There is a terrifying energy accumulated in it!
It actually made Uchiha Setsuna feel a long-lost sense of urgency. But seeing the energy coming from the youth made him smile a bit.
"You seem to have an idea, let me hear it."
"Yes. In my opinion, the conflict between our clan and Konoha has already reached an irreconcilable point. Such a fact is already as obvious as the sun! I suggest that we should abandon all needless hope for such and immediately prepare for battle!"
Kayn stood up, his dark eyes glowed as the tomoe on his eyes slowly rotated.
Uchiha Setsuna read decisiveness from them.
"Planning a coup is not like hosting a party. It is a bloody and sacrificial action with no room for maneuver until one side is completely destroyed... and yet we're still doing nothing but talk."
These words exploded in Setsuna's heart like a clap of thunder, making his whole body numb.
He finally understood why he was disappointed with Fugaku and most of his clan members.
Because they have been immersed in fantasy—
Weak, naive, and childish!
"When did your Sharingan evolve?" Uchiha Setsuna pondered for a moment and asked an irrelevant question.
"... After seeing Shisui's note."
Setsuna dispelled the doubts in his heart. No wonder he felt so exhausted just now.
The Three Tomoe in Kayn's eyes prompted him to make a decision.
"What do you think should be done?"
This is his very last question. And this question, he sincerely hopes that the young man in front of him can make a satisfactory... no, a qualified answer.
Kayn on the other hand, pursed his dry lips and with a serious look on his face, gave his answer.
