Chapter 174: A Fatal Mistake  

A soft knock on his office door caused Ba'dqeel to lift his head, calling for whoever was on the other side to enter.

"You're working late," said He'dtaalh, strolling into the office. "It must be important."

"It is," grunted Ba'dqeel, going back to the paperwork in front of him. "I'm trying to find a solution to take care of the phantoms permanently so they stop killing our males. The Rein has made this his priority, and I cannot rest until…"

"Until when?" asked He'dtaalh as he took a seat in one of the massive chairs in front of Ba'dqeel's desk. The entire room was done in different shades of silver and red; each article, from the red wooden desk in front of him to the carpets themselves, was chosen with an eye of luxury.

But now, any time He'dtaalh saw red, he wondered just how much blood it took to get it to that particular shade.
