Chapter 120: Reputation  

"Of course, Sire," bowed Midaar. However, since his head was low and Ba'dqeel already had his mind full of a thousand and one other things, he never noticed the secondary look flashing across Midaar's face before he managed to get his emotions under control again.

He was the one in charge of the ambassador's household. It was his honor and privilege to be trusted by Ba'dqeel to the point where he didn't have to answer to anyone. His status had even raised that of his brothers and father, and there was no way he was letting some unknown female take that away from him.

People have been disappearing all over Dakar for a while now; who was to say the deadly assassins didn't get her at the same time?
