Chapter 68: The Destruct Switch  

"You are not grotesque," Ariel growled at Ma'stbaut, and the male felt an unknown feeling in his chest as she pulled away from him and glared.

She was like a young pup trying to act tough but was failing miserably.

A low rumbling sound managed to escape, and it took Ma'stbaut a moment to realize that he was actually laughing. He honestly couldn't remember the last time something like that happened. 

But more than the expression on her face, more than the light-hearted feeling he was having in his hearts, he wanted her to put her mouth back on his. He had no idea what it was called or if it was even normal, but he wanted more.

Moving excruciatingly slowly, he wrapped his hand around the back of her head, surprised for a second when her red fur didn't burn him, and pulled her closer to him. Her head was completely dwarfed by his hand and he had to take special care not to let his claws anywhere near her soft skin.
