"Take a bath." Leng Yichen glanced at her disdainfully.
Shu Qiqi pursed her lips, her expression somewhat unnatural.
"I obviously know you're going to take a bath. I mean, why here? Since we're pretending, shouldn't we be sleeping in separate rooms?"
Leng Yichen looked at her as if she were an idiot, "Woman, get it straight what acting means. Sleep in separate rooms and you think others are blind?"
Shu Qiqi felt like crying without tears, "But you didn't say we have to sleep together..."
Had she known it would be like this, she would never have agreed.
"Now you know," Leng Yichen said indifferently, his actions uninterrupted.
Shu Qiqi was frightened, her experience on the plane left her with an instinctive repulsion towards men, and she turned to run away.
"I want to break the contract; I don't want to play act with you anymore."
She had just grabbed the door handle when the man yanked her arm.
He pulled with a bit of force, and she staggered backward, Leng Yichen catching her subconsciously.
Her waist, so supple it seemed boneless, allowed Leng Yichen's hand to slip under her clothes as she fell, her skin smooth and delicate like that of a newborn, irresistible to squeeze.
Shu Qiqi angrily pushed the man away, "You liar."
A promise of only pretend, no touching, yet there was hugging and groping—what was the meaning of this? She was done.
Just then, there was a knock at the door.
"Shut your mouth. If you slip up in front of the old lady, I'll make sure you never leave A City."
Frightened, Shu Qiqi covered her mouth and blinked at the man: Fine, you're the boss, now hurry up and open the door.
The Leng Family matriarch stood at the door with a cheery smile: "Yichen, am I interrupting?"
"Not at all, what brings you here, Grandma?"
"I had Tea Sister make some soup for you; drink it while it's hot."
Tea Sister handed over the soup, and Leng Yichen lifted the lid to see: nourishing soup!!
"Grandma?" Leng Yichen's expression grew serious.
"Stop nagging and drink up, I'm waiting to hold my great-grandchild." The old lady's intentions couldn't have been clearer.
Leng Yichen was somewhat helpless, as the only one in the Leng Family who had always protected him was the old lady. Without her, he probably wouldn't have made it this far. He always obeyed her every word.
Otherwise, he wouldn't have married Shu Qiqi.
After finishing the soup and sending off the matriarch, he turned to see Shu Qiqi staring at him.
"I've thought it over, and we should sign an agreement," Shu Qiqi handed him a sheet of paper filled with words.
Leng Yichen took it and saw: Marital Contract, Terms and Conditions!
"We'll divorce in three months. Can you fill in the time and the amount blank?"
Shu Qiqi pointed to two blank spots on the paper.
Without a word, Leng Yichen took the pen and signed his name: "I'll do as you say."
Shu Qiqi looked at the paper, "One month, one hundred thousand? That's it?"
Leng Yichen's eyes narrowed dangerously, annoyed by her dissatisfaction?
Shu Qiqi backed away in fright, hurriedly saying, "You're marrying me because of Grandma. I promise during our contract I'll keep Grandma from suspecting anything. I'll make sure she is always happy. How about that?"
Her attitude disgusted Leng Yichen, "You're only worth that much. If you need money that badly, you could consider other services."
The man's gaze went cold as it swept over her, full of scorn.
"If you won't give it, then don't, but you have no right to insult me. Fair is fair, no one is more noble than anyone else."
Shu Qiqi dragged a pillow from the bed and threw it at Leng Yichen's head.
He blocked it with his arm, and cotton stuffing scattered all over.
He angrily grabbed Shu Qiqi's arm as she attempted to kick him.
Frustrated, he leaned in and pinned her down, "Had enough trouble?"
Looking at her red-faced appearance and the faint familiar fragrance on her body, Leng Yichen embarrassingly felt a reaction.
