"Sounds good," Felix said happily.
As soon as he finished speaking, Blanche heard Felix's stomach grumble. Felix, feeling embarrassed, said, "I've been busy all day and haven't had a chance to eat."
Blanche replied, "I'll make something for you. I'm quite good at cooking, and Jason will be home from school soon, so it'll be ready just in time."
Felix had done her a big favor, so Blanche was naturally very grateful; making a meal wasn't a big deal.
"What do you like to eat?"
"Anything is fine." In fact, Felix wanted to say that he would love anything made by Blanche.
"What about the flavor?" Blanche asked.
"A bit spicy."
Blanche was momentarily taken aback; Alan didn't eat anything spicy and preferred light flavors, yet for some reason, he had a fiery temper.
"I'll have it ready in a moment; just wait here."
"Okay."
