The following days passed in a haze of passionate heat because Chester's heat kicked in, triggering Clarence's long overdue Alpha rut. Neither of them noticed the passage of time, nor did they really care.

Although, much to Clarence's surprise, he'd found food and other non-perishable supplies at the external cavern where they'd first rested. No one dared come further inside. Only clad in a pair of drawstring loose pants and barefoot, Clarence studied the supplies with surprise. "Just how much time passed?" he looked at the date on the note and winced. There were several such notes. "Good grief, this is going to mortify Chester." He muttered.
