Chapter 246: The Phoenix Nest

"And here I thought you were letting go of that big ego of yours. Don't be so cocky, Alpha Siroos. It's not like I can't take it." She winked, her hand slipping around his waist as her wings flipped open. 

The gown she wore was backless with shoulder straps so she could easily open her wings. 

Seeing her magnificent wings span behind her, Siroos let his eagle spirit come forward. The large brown feathery wings sprouted from behind him and flapped. 

"Race you to the nest?" Siroos cocked his head. The brown streaks of his curls fell right before his eyes. 

"Ready to lose." Cassandra poked his nose with her index finger and took flight. Siroos followed hot on her heels, trying to catch her. 

She giggled, her wings beating rapidly in the air as her body thrust upwards. The wind whooshed past her. The goddess soared, looking for the nest, hidden in the pink foliage of this dreamy tree.
