Aiko stood up and thanked everyone with a small bow on the behalf of her family as well.

"I appreciate being accepted in the pack, especially to Alpha and his family for making us feel welcome."

Her curious eyes went to her mate and he was already watching her with those needy eyes of his. She smiled and settled down. 

Cassandra left her seat and picked up her tankard, raising it in the air, she announced.

"To old bonds and new, to the happiness in our lives and the one still waiting on the borders. 

To us."

"To us!" The pack chanted back at her, raising their tankards and wineskins. 

Siroos's eyes held nothing but pride for his mate. How she had settled into this role. 

The feast began. An assortment of dishes, ranging from flatbreads to carrot stew and meat smoked on charcoal, had been prepared. 

Cassandra ate to her heart's content, making up for meals she had missed in Kanyon's captivity.
