Chapter 16: Showdown Between Sisters

Lotus fell forward, but her magic spilt out in the form of light pink flower petals' shield; it cushioned her fall. 

Stephanie entered, bathed in madness which emitted from her in the form of pitch-black shadows. 

"You! Cursed woman. You and that abomination killed Kamyn. I am going to end your pathetic life." Stephanie's eyes flashed with blinding rage and anger. Her hair were in disarray as her magic leeched out of her in torrents. 

Her shadows lunged for Cassandra but Lotus wedged herself between them and spoke. 

"Arena battles are always like that. When you signed up for it, you should have been prepared for the consequences too." Her fingertips glowed with a blinding light; her magic erupted, forming a sword of wood and thorns to fight against Stephanie. 

Cassandra stood behind Lotus, watching Stephanie with a guarded expression.
