Itachi and Kisame stood outside the rented room, their eyes cold and focused. They had followed the trail of Naruto and knew he was in this room. Kisame, with his shark-like grin, knocked on the door.
The door opened, revealing Naruto standing there, looking a bit startled. "Who are you guys?" Naruto asked, blinking in confusion. Shika was standing beside him, equally surprised.
Kisame chuckled darkly. "Looks like we've found our target."
Itachi's Sharingan spun, locking onto Naruto. "You're coming with us, Uzumaki Naruto," he said calmly, his voice cold and emotionless.
Before Naruto or Shika could react, Kisame stepped forward, ready to grab Naruto. But the moment his hand was about to reach Naruto, the boy vanished in a puff of smoke.
"A clone?" Kisame growled in irritation. "This brat tricked us."
Itachi's eyes narrowed slightly. "It seems we're not alone, a trap?" he muttered, scanning the room.
Suddenly, the figure standing behind Naruto, who they had assumed was another clone, transformed as well—into Jiraiya.
Jiraiya grinned. "Gotta say, kids a Nara alright," his tone lighthearted but dangerous.
Itachi's expression didn't change, but Kisame's smile faltered for a moment. "How did you know what we were planning.?" Kisame asked with a little irritation in his tone.
"It was that other boy, he's a Nara…" Though Kisame didn't understand what Jiraiya meant, Itachi did. The plan was of that Nara boy, but what he didn't understand was how they even found they were trailing them.
"Where is the Nine Tail," Kisame asked, with a not-so-good-looking face now.
Jiraiya shook his head. "Forget about him, I've already sent him far away from this spot. Thought you two would show up sooner or later, so we made some plans of our own."
"WE ?" Itachi catch the words almost immediately. And that was when suddenly a shout came.
"Charge."
It was Shika who suddenly appeared at the far corner of the corridor.
A dark, swirling shadow formed in front of him, and from it emerged an enormous ox with sharp horns—its entire body radiating raw power. Though others didn't see this, they only saw when Ox was ready to charge at them because Shika gave command Ox to attack them.
Kisame, with his trademark grin, glanced at the incoming beast and scoffed. "An ox? You think that's going to stop me?" He swung Samehada, ready to slice through the creature. But as the ox charged forward, Kisame's smirk quickly disappeared.
The ox was moving far faster than he anticipated. Shika especially appeared a little away from them to give Ox a little space to charge up, Its strength was overwhelming. Kisame swung his sword with all his might, but instead of stopping the ox, the sheer force of its charge ploughed through him.
"What ?" Kisame cried out seeing the seer force behind that attack.
The ground beneath them cracked as the ox rammed Kisame, sending him crashing through the building's wall. Kisame was launched outside, skidding across the ground, leaving deep trenches in his wake.
Jiraiya's eyes widened in surprise. "What the...?" He hadn't expected Shika to be able to summon a creature of such size and power. "Since when can you do that, kid?"
Itachi, though typically expressionless, raised an eyebrow. His Sharingan studied the ox intently. "A summoning technique... but there was no chakra flare ?"
Kisame, now picking himself up from the rubble outside, wiped the blood from his lip. "What the hell was that?" he shouted, clearly annoyed. But it wasn't done, because the ox also came down after Kisame, this time the Ox was even further away from him, ready to charge at him.
Jiraiya let out a low whistle. "Looks like you've got a few tricks kid."
"Yeah, a few," Shika replied with a little smile on his face.
Itachi was the only person left right now, he glanced at both Shika and Jiraiya with a little complicated look on his face.
"I wasn't expecting something like that from a Genin. What's your name ?" Itachi looks over to Shika.
'Well, I am not a Genin anymore, I just haven't gotten my Chunin jacket yet as I was taking that zero-paying S rank mission from that old man, sigh.' Shika thought with a little disappointment.
Shika was just about to answer when he saw those red eyes staring at him and the next second he was in a totally different place. He saw he was standing in a very dark place with horrible sounds coming from his surroundings. It was a Genjutsu. Shika had learned this enough to know that. He immediately mobilized his chakra and got out, but it was he wasn't fast enough.
Itachi already has thrown a few Shuriken towards him, if not for Jiraiya standing near him to push him out of the way, they would have hit him.
But Itachi was expecting that. He was in fact targeting Shika just to lure Jiraiya. He knew that with Jiraiya there, getting out would be hard. Jiraiya might go after him, so he attacks Shika. The next second his Sharingan turns into the form of Mangekyo.
Shika who just come out of his daze saw the Mangekyo and hurriedly clapped his hand to send a jet of water at Itachi who was clearly targeting Jiraiya. The Toad Sannin also saw this, he himself wasn't worried about some Genjutsu but Shika knew.
Itachi only uses Mangeky for three reasons. Susanoo, Amaterasu and Tsukyomi.
Itachi who was about to target Jiraiya had to dodge the powerful water jutsu. He narrows his eyes, can't believe but think that Nara boy somehow knew that he was about to use a powerful attack.
'Fine then…' Itachi internally thought. He wanted to target Jiraiya but that would be hard… so targeting the boy was better. At least his passing out will hold Jiraiya back.
"Tsukyomi," Itachi muttered and then a trail of blood tears dropped from his eye. Next second Shika found himself in a completely different place again.

The moment Itachi activated his Tsukuyomi, the world around Shika changed instantly. The rooftop, the surroundings, everything disappeared, leaving him standing in a dark, nightmarish world. The sky was blood-red, and giant ominous crows circled overhead. Shika felt his body tense up, and his mind quickly registered where he was—Itachi's infamous genjutsu world.
"You're now in my Tsukuyomi," Itachi's voice echoed as he appeared before Shika, his Sharingan glowing ominously. "In here, I control time, space, and your very perception. I could kill you a thousand times, and you'd feel each death for what would seem like an eternity."
Shika remained calm, he knew something like this could happen and of course, he was ready. But he needed to buy time before he could do anything.
"This thing the power of the Mangekyo Sharingan… just like I anticipated, it's very powerful," Shika said, not asking but stating.
Itachi didn't like this at all, Shika was too calm, it like everything was under his control.
"Before you start, Itachi," Shika said with an unwavering voice, "I have one question. Why did you kill the Uchiha clan?"
Itachi's eyes narrowed. "That has nothing to do with you," he replied coldly, dismissing the question.
Shika smirked slightly, his eyes suddenly changing. The red glow of the Sharingan appeared in his eyes, shocking Itachi for the first time.
"You..." Itachi began, his voice betraying a hint of surprise.
"I believe that it has much to do with me," Shika replied still calm.
"How… I killed everyone. None was left beside…" Itachi was staying but before that Shika interrupted him.
"Beside your little brother…yes yes we know that… I am a Nara, you are not mistaken there."
"My mother was from the Nara clan," Shika said, lying convincingly, "but I recently realized after opening my eyes that my father... he was Uchiha. I don't know how this happened or why. but because of that, I have the right to know."
Itachi's expression darkened. "Even if that were true, it doesn't change anything. The reasons for what I did are not for you to know." He took a step forward, preparing to end the conversation and the fight in his own brutal way.
"Then who helped you?" Shika pressed, ignoring Itachi's warning. "You couldn't have done it alone. Who was your accomplice in the Uchiha massacre?"
Itachi's face remained impassive, but the silence that followed spoke volumes. He had no intention of revealing anything. Keeping his secret from Sasuke and the rest of the world was more important than answering Shika's questions.
Itachi's hand was ready to use the swords floating around him to pierce Shika and then repeat the process for 72 hours straight.
"Okay okay… one last question. This one got nothing to do with Uchiha." Shika shouted, stopping Itachi.
"This is a Genjutsu right… it can't be real ?" Shika asked.
"Why do you care ?" Itachi's voice was very cold right now.
"Consider it a curiosity of a fellow Genjutsu user, I am just interested. Tell me one thing. Am I right now in your mind or are you in mine ?" Shika asked while staring Itachi right in the eyes. Not a feat many could do.
Itachi didn't understand why the boy was asking this, but he replied just to end this pointless conversation and start his work.
"Just like any other Genjutsu… this is happening in your mind. Of course, if you are thinking that by disturbing your chakra you can get out, then you are mistaken." Itachi replied with a calm tone.
Shika hearing this just grinned. "Ah… I see, well thank you for telling me that, You showed me your Tsukuyomi and answered my question, Itachi. I believe it's only fair that I return the favour."
This stopped Itachi. He already had a bad feeling about this, from the moment how Shika was acting, he knew that something was wrong.
Shika then closed his eyes, confusing Itachi until something strange happened.
Suddenly, the dark world of Itachi's genjutsu started to shift. The crimson sky dimmed as an even darker presence began to consume the space around them. Itachi's eyes widened slightly, sensing the change.
"Sorry, these binding vows are tricky things. Needed a little time to come up with a perfect vow to use this without hand signs." Shika replied with a smile.
"You... what are you doing?" Itachi demanded, his voice sharper now.
Shika's voice remained calm, almost amused. "Welcome to my domain, Itachi."
"Consider this a very similar place like your Tsukyomi. I can't cast this in the real world yet, but just as you said, we are currently in my mind. Here, hehehe… "
"Domain Expansion… Chimera Shadow Garden." Shika chuckled and then finally said this. The darkness then completely covered the entire Tsukyomi world.
The world around them darkened further, the red of Tsukuyomi being swallowed up by endless shadows. Tendrils of dark energy stretched out from the ground, curling and twisting like vines. Shika stood in the centre of it all, completely in control. The air grew colder, and Itachi could feel the oppressive weight of Shika's power pressing against his own.
"You explained Tsukuyomi to me, Itachi," Shika continued. "So, let me explain Shadow Garden to you. Here, shadows rule. This is my world now, where I control everything."
"This is the Peak of Jujutsu…" Shika replied as he felt powerful inside his domain.
Itachi's Sharingan flared in response. "Jujutsu ?" he muttered, regaining his composure.
'Domain? Jujutsu? I am sure the Nara clan have no such things. What is this…' Itachi wondered thinking of a way to get out of there, but unfortunately for him, even his own consciousness was trapped inside as domains are created in a way to trap the opponent inside them.
"Why can't I sense any chakra in here ?" Itachi finally asked, that was the most suspicious thing according to him.
"Hehehe… you'll know," Shika said calmly. His shadows surged forward, wrapping around Itachi like chains, pulling him into the darkness. Itachi struggled to break free, but the shadows resisted his attempts.
But that wasn't it, Itachi saw many different kinds of animals forming out of the Shadows and attacking him, all the attacks were coming at him at random at this time.
Even his Sharinga was having hard time noticing the attacks.
Itachi attempted to dispel the shadows with his immense genjutsu prowess, but Shika's domain wasn't a Genjutsu. The shadows adapted, reforming faster than Itachi could destroy them. At first, Itachi thought that this was something similar to Tsukyomi, that the boy also opened his Mangekyo but now he knew that wasn't the case.
Because no matter what kind of power Mangekyo grants, there should be a trail of Chakra. But here, he can't feel anything.
"Your strength lies in controlling your opponent's perception," Shika said, as his shadow tendrils tightened around Itachi. "But the shadows doesn't care about perceptions…"
"Now than, lets dance…" Shika smirk and disappears in Shadows only to add in on all the fun.
