Chapter 28: Chapter 28 : Demon Brothers
Just as I thought, Kurenai already knew that there were enemies nearby. She wasn't even there when those enemies attacked her, but rather it was just an illusion.
Her getting cut into pieces was also an Illusion. Even I was fooled at the start but after blinding the rest of those enemies, I looked back at the so-called remains of our dead sensei, but it was nothing but wood pieces.
She was able to cast an illusion on the log. Pretty interesting to be honest. I have to ask her how she did that.
And for the matter of me stopping those two shinobi with shadow possession, well I was already waiting for them. It wasn't very hard to immediately activate my shadow possession jutsu at the moment's notice.
Both Hinata and Kiba seeing that the enemy was so close to them stopped suddenly, staggered and fell back.
While Shino was cool AF. He just stood there like it was nothing. This guy is extremely underrated.
"Good job Shika." Suddenly the sound came of one Kurenai Yuhi and then with rose flower petals, she suddenly arrived there out of nowhere.
Apparently, she uses Genjutsu almost everywhere, even when using other normal jutsu.
"Ah, Kurenai Sensei, you are alright." Both Hinata and Kiba were in amazement.
"Yes, I replace myself with a log and use genjutsu to look like I was killed. You both should have noticed this. Kiba with your nose and Hinata with your eyes, it shouldn't have been that big of a deal. You both need to pay attention.
On the other hand, both Shino and Shika not only remained calm but also noticed the obvious flaw in the plan of the enemy." Kurenai then said and explained.
"Hmm sensei, I understand thats important but what should in do about these two here ?" I asked as I was still holding both the genin with my shadow possession.
Kurenai seeing just a smile, Immediately formed a single-hand sign and in the next second both the demon brothers who I was holding with my shadow fell unconscious.
That was a woh moment for me. If only it would be that easy for me too.
"Sorry about that. But I don't think that it was that hard for you to hold them down for long, is it." Kurenai said as her face playing a playful smile like at me.
I was deadpan at that, what is the meaning of this, if I can stop them for longer doesn't mean I must do that?
"Anyway, good work Shika. Your reaction time was on point. To the point that even if you were alone on this mission then you would have been able to handle those shinobi. You did great, though try implementing Genjutsu in your moves as well. The more you use it the more you will get used to it." Said the beautiful woman and then she turned back to those two Genin.
Unlike Kakashi, she didn't waited who they really were after, so she was not sure who they were after her. The main reason might be that I captured them both before that.
So now that we have to do some interrogation.

Of course, being the Jonin sensei here, Kurenai took over the introduction part. All this time Tazuna was under a lot of pressure.
While the introduction was taking place, I talked with both Kiba and Hinata. "
"Dont worry about it, it's the first time, as you take more missions, something like this will become normal to you," I said and looked at Kiba who looked agitated right now at getting frozen at that last time while Hinata was just looking down.
"How did you know that there was a trap ?" Kiba asked with a little irritation on his face.
"There was a water pit, it hasn't rained at all in days, so there shouldn't be any water pit in the road." I just reply with a calm tone. Making him shut up again.
"As I said again, you just need some experience, nothing more. Just do more missions and you will get a nack of this." I reply with a smile as I look at Hinata who is still looking down.
Just then Kurenai's voice came, she was talking with Tazuna. Apparently, she wasn't able to learn anything from the demon brothers.
She is amazing when it comes to Genjutsu but when it comes to other things, not that much.
So ultimately she ended up asking Tazuna about it who of course denied that had anything to do with this matter.
But Kurenai didn't seem very convinced at this.
Now pondering whether to continue the mission or not.
Sigh.
Things will get even worse as time goes on. I better stay vigilant.
This is a very confusing mission one way or other. On one hand, if we don't do this mission then the condition of Waves will get even worse and if we do take it then we will be directly facing the demon of the mist and Haku.
At first, I thought why not just directly attack Geto and take his money, Give a little to Zabuza and we are done but that won't be easy. I have no idea where is Geto.
I might be able to track both Haku and Zabuza back and then get to meet Geto but it's harder then it seems.
Hmm...
What should I do?

Chapter 29: Chapter 29 : To Waves
So we finally decided to continue the mission. Maybe becuase Kurenai didn't want to disappoint her genin team or just becuase she ended up feeling bad for the old man, she decided to continue the mission.
Took some time though, and this was enough time for me to finally decide what I am about to do.
I am not going to kill Haku, he doesn't deserve it, maybe in the entire Naruto series besides Hinata, he was the nicest person. So I won't kill him.
But Zabuza, well that guy has to die. Not only is Zabuza excellent when it comes to a Jonin target for my first kill list but he is also a water-style user, a swordsman and a master of silent killing, what else a man needs right.
But that sounds cool and all but this is still Zabuza, the demon of the mist we are talking about. He is not any small fly that I can take out as I like. Even Kakashi was almost break even with this guy. And that Kakashi.
I have to come up with a good strategy to get to him.
And if after killing Zabuza, if Haku comes after me then I can't help it. I just have to kill him if it comes to that.
But if he doesn't attack then neither will I.
Yeah, this is another thing I need to figure out.

"Okay listen to me now. This mission is no longer a mere C-rank mission." Kurenai said with much seriousness on her face.
All Genin including me gave her their full attention. The usual facade of a beautiful big sister was no longer there, but now a Jonin of the leaf was talking.
"The mission after this could be hard. And thus I want to ask all of you. Do you wish to continue this mission? It will be hard. We can even lose our lives in this mission." Kurenai said when suddenly the light dimmed down, and the environment looked heavy around her. Like the situation was very serious.
But I who have been learning Genjutsu from her for almost more than a month at this point easily figured out that she was using Genjutsu to make it feel like that.
I didn't point out that but a little glance from her eyes made sure that she noticed that I saw through her Genjutsu. And she seeing this had a little smirk on her face.
I can't help but shake my head a little at this. This woman uses her powers for all the wrong reasons. Scarying her Genin team with Genjutsu, while she is a Jonin.
Sigh.
"We are ready Kurenai Sensei. Let's do it." Kiba was the first one to say this.
"Yes, I agree with this." Shino seconded that.
Both Kurenai and I looked at Hinata who was looking very shy and pondering what to do.
Seeing that the girl wasn't saying anything Kurenai was about to say something most likely to go back to the village if Hinata didn't want to continue the mission. But I said before her.
"Don't worry Hinata. You are not alone, we all are with you and give yourself some credit. You have been working really hard, I have seen how hard you work. I know you can do it." I quickly said, can't let Kurenai cancel this mission becuase of Hinata.
Seeing this Hinata look a little hesitant. But then Kiba also supported the notion so Hinata nodded her head in affirmation.
Phew.
Phew.
Huh, I'm sure I heard another phew, I was around only to see that Tazuna was also looking relieved like me.
Yeah, then there is that guy as well. Of course he will be happy that we are willing to continue the mission.
I can't help but roll my eyes.
But this kind of put my mind on something.
Hinata...
She had so much potential but till the end, she wasn't given screen time. Because of her personality.
Now I can't change that personality of hers but maybe I can help her a little.
Lets see what I can do.
