As is tradition I’ll be giving myself 5 stars. I do however genuinely like this book (otherwise I wouldn’t translate it would I haha). Do please all give it a try. As for the reason I like this novel well it explores (in the middle-late stages) different aspects that the original BTTH novel didn’t cover, for example in this novel we will see different parts of the Dou Qi Continent that the original novel didn’t cover. As well as different perspectives of people and finally the ‘what if’ question that is always on every readers mind for every cultivation story, ‘what if that ancestor broke through and the mc didn’t have to suffer’, how would they turn out, would they grow quicker, slower, turn out good or bad etc. This novel answers that at least for BTTH for me which is why I like it. Like I said, do give it a try and let me know in the comments how you feel about the book :)
