Chapter 41: An Escape from Reality

As Raena and Jaun reappeared in another part of the castle, safe but shaken, they exchanged a look. The silence between them spoke volumes. They had just escaped certain trouble, or worse, death, and yet the only thing Jaun could think about was the way Raena had looked at him—the warmth in her eyes, the silent promise of something more.
