Chapter 4: Ep4 season1 (echoes of the past)

INT. CITY ALLEYWAY - NIGHT

Tux is perched on a dumpster, licking his paw. The moonlight casts shadows across the alley. He's still buzzing with adrenaline from the gala escapade.

TUX (to himself) I can't keep this up forever. I need to lay low for a bit.

INT. ABANDONED BUILDING - NIGHT

Tux enters a dilapidated building where he sometimes takes refuge. As he settles down, he notices something glittering in the corner. It's a locket. He approaches it cautiously.

FLASHBACK - INT. BURNING HOUSE - NIGHT

A quick flashback of Tux's parents throwing him out of the burning house. His mother wears a similar locket. The scene is chaotic, filled with fire and panic.

BACK TO PRESENT

Tux shakes his head, trying to clear the painful memories.

TUX (somber) I need to stop running from this.

EXT. CITY STREETS - DAY

Officer Jenkins and Officer Davis are back at the precinct, discussing the events of the previous night.

OFFICER JENKINS (frustated) We were so close. This cat is something else.

OFFICER DAVIS (nods) We need to change our approach. He's not just a nuisance; he's smart.

INT. ANIMAL SHELTER - DAY

Tux decides to visit an old friend, an elderly cat named WHISKERS who lives at a nearby shelter. Whiskers has always given Tux wise advice.

WHISKERS (squinting) Tux, you look troubled.

TUX (sighs) I keep running, Whiskers. Running from my past, from my pain.

WHISKERS (nods) Running won't heal you. Facing it might.

EXT. CITY PARK - NIGHT

As Tux wanders through the park, he hears a soft meow. He turns to see a young stray kitten, scared and alone. It reminds him of himself when he lost his parents.

TUX (softly) Hey there, little one. You're safe now.

Tux stays with the kitten, comforting it. This act of kindness starts to change something in him.

INT. WAREHOUSE - NIGHT

Officer Jenkins and Officer Davis are planning their next move. They've set up a trap, hoping to finally catch Tux.

OFFICER JENKINS (determined) We need to end this cat-and-mouse game.

OFFICER DAVIS (agreeing) We need to be smarter, just like him.

EXT. CITY ROOFTOP - DAWN

Tux is on a rooftop, looking out over the city. The first light of dawn illuminates his fur. The kitten is with him, nestled close.

TUX (to the kitten) Maybe it's time I stop causing havoc. Maybe it's time I find a new path.

FADE OUT.
