Chapter 47: Friends

Everyone topped off their drinks and stood around talking animatedly about summer plans. Gabriel saw his wife's sad look and pulled her into his side trying to ease the hurt. Megan gave him a pensive look pulling away to join Angelina for a private conversation in the corner of the pool.

"Megan are you okay? You seem off." Angelina asked, leaning close to her friend.

"I'm fine. I'm just not looking forward to leaving. I'm going to miss everybody." Megan told her friend.

"What do you mean leaving?" Angelina asked alarmed. She didn't believe the rumors about Gabriel's ex-wives but now Megan was talking about leaving.

Megan sighed, what could she actually tell her friend. "Gabriel has to return to where he's from so I will be likely be gone for a while."

"Where is he from?" Angelina questioned her face scrunched.

"I can't remember the name Angie. It's far away." Megan took a drink leaning away from her friend and looking toward the main group.
