"This...this isn't something you can just say," Harry stammered, his voice barely above a whisper. "Ple- please, put the knife down, Zoey. You've already..." He couldn't bring himself to finish the sentence, the horror of it all choking his words.

Zoey's gaze never wavered, her smile twisting into a grin. "You still don't understand, Harry. Valerie's not just a person. She's an obsession. A constant reminder of what I'll never have. And as long as you're mine, no one will ever take that away from me."
