Chapter 24: Wedding night

Valerie's lips brushed against Greg's, a spark of electricity igniting between them like a match to gasoline. The sweet taste of ripe strawberries lingered on her lips, mingling with the hint of Greg's cologne, a subtle scent of bergamot and lavender that seemed to dance on her senses.

Letting go of the pillow, he snaked his hand around her waist and yanked her to his chest. The other hand, still pinned to the door.

His eyes flashed with desire; his pupils dilating like dark pools of water as he growled, "I warned you, Valerie that if you tempt me, I won't be able to resist."

Not giving her a chance to reply, he crashed his lips onto hers, claiming them like a hungry beast. His kiss, fierce and demanding, like a stormy sea crashing against the shore.
