Chapter 18: Ruby's enemy

The chauffeur's heart dropped when he heard the child's words. He glanced at them from the rear mirror and as expected, his boss's face was unsightly

Greg felt her sorrow. His countenance changed and his face darkened. Bullying his daughter, they messed with the wrong child!

"Mia's daddy said that Mommy was a bad woman and didn't know my Daddy. He called her one name, which got my mommy very angry, but she refused to tell me what it meant."

"What did he say?" Greg asked, his voice had changed from a gentle breeze to a raging tornado.

Ruby was probably too engrossed in her story telling to notice.

"He said, 'you're a hole!' daddy, isn't a hole a place where small animals live? Why did he call my mommy a hole?" she looked up, her round eyes staring at her father, hoping for an answer.
