Chapter 211: Relief

Matthew Dawn leaned back in his seat, letting out a long breath of relief as he closed his eyes. Finally, he was free. Free from the clutches of expectations that had weighed him down for so long, free from the constant tug-of-war between his desires and the demands of all the others be it his ever nagging wife, his needy mother, his vengeful uncle, threatening stepmother and his spoilt daughters! They'd all become the bane of his existence!

For the first time in what felt like an eternity, there was no one to answer to, no schemes to execute, no masks to wear and no mind games to play.
