### Chapter 28: Forge Your Own Path in Your New Horizon.
The sky was a canvas of brilliant hues, the colors blending seamlessly from a soft pink at the horizon to a deeper blue above. The backdrop provided a serene contrast to the events unfolding in the foreground.
The Wisteria trees swayed gently in the breeze, their leaves rustling softly, adding a natural rhythm to the scene.
Kintaro placed his right hand on the Nichirin Sword that Amani had gifted him. Everyone was eagerly watching, including Kintaro himself. After a brief moment of silence, the metallic blade began to gradually take on a glowing purple hue. The purple glow was so pronounced that it seemed like a faint light.
Amani remained calm, as did the two girls, while Kintaro was shocked because the color now on the sword was the same as his mother's eyes and the same color his eyes glowed when he used his ability. It was a beautiful purple, the same hue that appeared in some strands of his hair.
As the silence filled the space, Ubuyashiki asked, "So, what's the result? What kind of sword does Kintaro have?"
Amani looked calmly at Kintaro's sword and said, "Like the other Hashira, a color that distinguishes him from the rest. Each one has a unique color, and this is a rare color I haven't seen before. It's radiant purple."
Ubuyashiki smiled and said, "Radiant purple, huh? I see. That explains why I was surprised when I heard Kintaro talking about Electro Breathing. Since it's a breathing technique I've never heard of before, it makes sense that his sword has a color I've never seen before."
Kintaro continued to stare at his sword for a few seconds, unsure of what the color signified. Was the color of his sword an indication of talent or not? The only thing he knew was that he was different from the other Demon Slayers, and this difference was likely a positive one.
As he gazed at his sword, one of the girls with white hair said, "The sword's scabbard is black and doesn't match the color of your sword or your eyes. Allow me to embroider a design on your new sword's scabbard."
Amani glanced at her daughter, about to tell her that this was rude and they should respect the guest's privacy. However, before she could speak, Kintaro smiled and said, "Really? Is it really okay? I would be grateful."
Amani paused for a moment, as she didn't expect him to like the idea. The girl then took the scabbard and went inside to look for thread and a needle to create the design she wanted.
Meanwhile, Kintaro placed his sword on the ground beside him and said, while looking down, "Ubuyashiki-san, what should I do from now on? Everything that has happened to me has been a series of events, each one leading to another. Where should I go now?"
As Kintaro said this, his black bird with blue wings landed on his shoulder. The feathers on its head were also blue.
Ubuyashiki smiled and said, "That sound, it's Kintaro's crow, right?"
Amani looked at her husband and replied, "Yes, he's lucky. He got that beautiful bird I told you about. We have only three of that kind, and now Kintaro has one of them."
With the same smile, Ubuyashiki said, "Kintaro-kun, from now on, you will receive many missions, and our means of communication will be the bird on your shoulder. Your first mission will be in the north village of..."
Before Ubuyashiki could finish, Kintaro said, "Ubuyashiki-san, I have a request and a question."
Ubuyashiki was a bit surprised and remained silent. At that moment, Kintaro added, "My request is to allow me to go to the road where my parents died first. I want to see if that demon is still there."
Ubuyashiki replied in a calm tone, "Acting out of anger and emotion might not be a wise decision. With your talent, you can save dozens of lives in the time you would spend traveling. Despite that, do you still want to go?"
Kintaro didn't hesitate to answer, "If that demon is still there, then the villagers of both villages are still living in fear, and the relations between the villages might have already been severed. So yes, I want to go."
Ubuyashiki closed his eyes and said, "I understand. And your question?"
As Ubuyashiki opened his eyes again, Kintaro said, "Do you know anything about the butterfly? Tokito-san told me that he remembers a woman by that name among the Hashira."
Ubuyashiki became a bit serious and said, "And what do you want from that woman?"
Kintaro sensed a bit of suspicion in Ubuyashiki's tone, so he immediately said, "Nothing specific. I was supposed to meet the butterfly to train and join the Corps, but fate had it that I met Tokito-san and trained under him. However, I am still curious about the butterfly's connection to Ayaka, the woman I consider my second mother."
Ubuyashiki smiled and said, "In that case, you will meet her at your first Hashira meeting, which will be two and a half months from now. Kintaro-kun, do your best; you will receive many missions from now on. Forge Your Own Path in Your New Horizon."
"Understood.." Kintaro replied with a smile on his face after a short silence.
The scene then transitioned to the moment of his departure, where he was fascinated and impressed by the purple embroidery on his sword's scabbard. It was a beautiful depiction of lightning bolts stitched elegantly onto the scabbard.
One of Kokushibo's squad members came to blindfold Kintaro, marking the end of his meeting with Ubuyashiki and the beginning of a new chapter in his life.
