Accelerator walked through the streets back to the Tendo Civil Security Agency, his mind still buzzing with the events of the morning. Unbeknownst to him, whispers had already begun to circulate through the district. His stark white hair and piercing red eyes made him an easy target for rumors, and the story of a man helping Cursed Children had quickly taken root.

As he entered the agency, Kisara and Rentaro immediately sensed the tension in his posture and the dark look on his face. They exchanged a worried glance, knowing that something had disturbed their new ally deeply.

"Where's Enju?" Accelerator asked, his tone clipped.

"She's at school," Rentaro replied, his voice cautious. "Everything alright?"

Accelerator's eyes flashed with anger. "No. This place is just as rotten as Academy City. Maybe worse."

Kisara nodded slowly, understanding dawning in her eyes. "You saw how the people treat the Cursed Children."

"They're trash," Accelerator spat, his fists clenching at his sides.

Rentaro and Kisara shared a brief look of concern but decided not to press further, fearing they might push Accelerator over the edge. Instead, Kisara cleared her throat and changed the subject.

"We have a new mission," she said, her tone professional. "A Gastrea has been spotted near the Outer District, and no Promoter is taking action."

Accelerator raised an eyebrow, his curiosity piqued. "Why not?"

Rentaro sighed, a wry smile on his face. "Because it's near the Outer District. Most Promoters don't want to risk their lives for an area they consider already lost."

Accelerator clicked his tongue in annoyance. "Cowards. Fine, let's get this over with."

He and Rentaro geared up and headed out towards the Outer District. The tension between them was palpable, but Accelerator was too focused on the task at hand to care. The journey was uneventful, but as they neared their destination, Accelerator's eyes narrowed in displeasure.

There, in the middle of the street, a Gastrea was rampaging, its grotesque form tearing through anything in its path. But what caught Accelerator's attention was the sight of a Promoter standing idly by, watching the battle with a twisted grin on his face.

His Initiator, a young Cursed Child, was desperately fighting the Gastrea, her small body taking blow after blow. She was clearly outmatched, but the Promoter made no move to help her. Instead, he seemed to be enjoying her suffering, a sadistic pleasure evident in his eyes.

Accelerator's blood boiled at the sight. "What the hell is wrong with him?" he muttered, his anger barely contained.

Rentaro's face was set in a grim expression. "That's Yuji Takahashi, one of the more notorious Promoters. He's known for treating his Initiator like a disposable tool."

"Maggot" Accelerator growled. "He's no better than those trashes."

Without another word, Accelerator surged forward, his vector manipulation crackling in the air around him. He reached the Gastrea and the struggling Initiator in seconds, his presence a sudden and overwhelming force. The Gastrea turned its attention to him, but Accelerator didn't give it a chance to react. With a single, devastating blow, he sent the creature flying, its body crumpling against a distant building.

The young Initiator looked up at him, her eyes wide with shock and relief. "Th-thank you..."

"Stay back," Accelerator ordered, his eyes never leaving the Promoter. "This bastard's mine."

Yuji Takahashi's grin faltered as he realized who he was dealing with. "Who the hell are you?" he demanded, though there was a hint of fear in his voice.

"Ha? The hell you care?" Accelerator replied coldly, his eyes blazing with fury. "How dare you stand there and watch her suffer?"

Yuji took a step back, his confidence crumbling. "She's just a tool. A means to an end."

Accelerator's response was swift and brutal. He closed the distance between them in an instant, his fist connecting with Yuji's face and sending him sprawling to the ground. "She's a brat" he snarled. "A person. Not your damn toy."

Rentaro arrived just in time to see the confrontation, his expression one of shock and admiration. He had never seen anyone take down a Gastrea with such ease, let alone stand up to someone like Yuji Takahashi.

Yuji struggled to his feet, blood dripping from his nose. "You're insane! Do you have any idea who I am?"

"Ke…hahaha! Do I look like I care?" Accelerator replied, his voice a deadly calm. "You're type is what I loathed the most"

Yuji's eyes darted around, looking for a way out. "You can't do this! The authorities—"

"Screw the authorities," Accelerator interrupted. "You think they care? They're just as corrupt as you are."

Before Yuji could respond, Accelerator delivered another punch, this time knocking the man unconscious. He stood over Yuji's limp form, his chest heaving with anger.

Rentaro approached cautiously, placing a hand on Accelerator's shoulder. "It's over. Let's get her to safety."

Accelerator nodded, his eyes softening slightly as he turned to the young Initiator. She was trembling, tears streaming down her face. "Can you walk?" he asked gently.

She nodded, though her legs were shaky. "Y-yes. Thank you."

"Let's get out of here," Rentaro said, his voice kind. "We'll take you somewhere safe."

As they led the girl away, Accelerator's mind was a whirlwind of emotions. The cruelty he had witnessed was a stark reminder of the harsh realities these children faced every day. But it also strengthened his resolve to fight for them, to protect them from the monsters that lurked not just in the shadows, but in plain sight.

"This world is rotten," he thought, his anger simmering beneath the surface. "But I'll be damned if I let it stay that way."

The whispers about the white-haired, red-eyed man helping the Cursed Children continued to spread, and Accelerator couldn't care less. Let them talk. He had a mission, and he wouldn't stop until it was complete.

"Come on," he said, his voice firm but not unkind. "We've got work to do."

Rentaro nodded, a look of determination in his eyes. "Right. Let's get her to safety."

"Let's see what else this world has to throw at us," he thought, a fierce determination burning in his eyes. "Because I'll fucking break it."

As Accelerator walked through the streets, he immediately noticed the hostile glares directed at him. The hatred in the eyes of the people around him was palpable. He clicked his tongue in annoyance, realizing that the two officers he had dealt with earlier must have spread rumors about him.

"Should've killed those bastards when I had the chance," he muttered to himself, regretting his decision to let them go.

Rentaro had stayed behind to ensure that the Gastrea's corpse was handed over to the authorities and to collect the bounty. Accelerator had dispatched the sadistic Promoter himself, making sure that scum like him would no longer be a threat. Now, it was just him and the young Cursed Child walking through the unfriendly streets.

The girl stayed close to his side, her eyes wide with a mix of fear and gratitude. As they passed a bakery, her gaze lingered on the display of fresh bread. She didn't say anything, but the hunger in her eyes was unmistakable.

Accelerator scratched his head, feeling a twinge of frustration. He wasn't used to dealing with kids, especially not ones who had suffered so much. But he couldn't ignore the fact that she was starving.

"Wait here," he said gruffly, heading towards the bakery. He pushed open the door with more force than necessary, causing the bell above it to jingle loudly.

The owner, a middle-aged man with a nervous expression, looked up in alarm. His eyes widened when he saw Accelerator, and he instinctively took a step back. "What do you want?" he asked, his voice trembling.

"I need some bread," Accelerator replied, his tone curt. "Now."

The owner's eyes darted to the young girl standing outside, and a look of disgust crossed his face. "I don't have anything to sell to a monster like you."

Accelerator's eyes narrowed, his anger rising. He knew the man was referring to the girl, and it took all his self-control not to lash out. Killing this man wouldn't solve anything, he reminded himself.

"Listen here, you coward," Accelerator growled, his voice low and dangerous. "You're going to sell me that bread, or we're going to have a problem."

The owner shook his head, his fear evident. "No! I won't sell to you! Get out of my shop!"

Accelerator's patience snapped. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a stack of money and slapped it hard against the owner's face. The man stumbled back, falling to the floor. For a moment, he was too stunned to react, but then his eyes locked onto the money.

His entire demeanor changed. Gone was the fear and defiance, replaced by a greedy eagerness. He scrambled to his feet, his hands shaking as he grabbed the stack of money. "Of course, sir! I-I didn't realize. Here, take whatever you want!"

Accelerator's lip curled in disgust as the owner handed over several loaves of bread, his hands trembling. "Pathetic," he muttered, snatching the bread and turning to leave.

The girl looked up at him with wide eyes as he exited the bakery. He handed her the bread without a word, his expression hard. "Eat. You need it."

Her eyes filled with tears of gratitude as she took the bread, her hands shaking. "Thank you," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

"Don't mention it," Accelerator replied, his tone gruff. "You need to stay strong."

As they walked away from the bakery, the hostile gazes of the people around them followed. Accelerator's anger simmered beneath the surface, but he kept it in check. These people were ignorant and afraid, lashing out at what they didn't understand. But he couldn't let their hatred distract him from his mission.

"I'm going to take you back to the others," he said to the girl, his voice firm. "I've got food enough for a week for all of you."

The girl nodded, her eyes still shining with gratitude. "Thank you. I... I don't get to eat like this very often."

Accelerator's jaw tightened. The fact that these children had to suffer such deprivation enraged him. But he forced himself to focus on the task at hand. He couldn't change everything overnight, but he could make a difference, one step at a time.

They continued walking, unbothered by the hostile stares. Accelerator's presence was enough to keep most people at bay, and those who dared to approach quickly backed off when they saw the intensity in his eyes.

As they reached the outskirts of the district, the girl pointed to a rundown building. "That's where I stayed before..."

Accelerator nodded and led her inside. The other children looked up in surprise and excitement as they entered, the girl tried to assure the others not knowing that Accelerator is already a regular here. "E-Everyone.. he's not a bad person!"

""Brother!"" the girl was surprised to hear that, it appears that the man is really just that kind.

"Line up, brats" he commanded, his voice firm. "Time to eat."

The children obey without hesitation, excited even. As they lined up, Accelerator handed out the bread, his expression softening slightly as he watched them eat.

"Make sure you share," he said, his tone still stern but not unkind. "I'll be back with more supplies soon."

The children nodded, their mouths full of bread. Accelerator turned to leave, but a small hand tugged at his sleeve. He looked down to see the girl, her eyes filled with gratitude.

"Thank you, brother…" she said again, her voice stronger this time.

"Don't mention it," Accelerator replied, his voice softening. "Just stay safe."

As he walked away from the building, his mind was already racing with plans. He needed to secure more supplies, find a better shelter, and figure out a way to protect these children from the hatred of the world around them.

"This place is messed up," he thought, his resolve hardening.

"Let them hate me," he thought, a fierce glint in his eyes. "As long as these brats are safe, I don't care."

At the Tendou Civil Security Agency, Kisara sat behind her desk, a rare smile on her face. She looked over the paperwork Rentaro had just handed her, noting with satisfaction that he hadn't missed the bounty this time.

"Good job, Rentaro," she said, her tone approving. "You're getting better at this."

Rentaro scratched the back of his head, a sheepish smile on his face. "Thanks, Kisara. I'm just trying to make sure we keep things running smoothly."

Enju, who was sitting nearby, beamed with excitement. "This means we can eat something other than bean sprouts tonight! I'm so happy!"

Kisara chuckled, her eyes softening as she looked at the young girl. "You've earned it, Enju. We'll have a proper meal tonight."

Enju began recounting her day at school, her voice filled with enthusiasm. "We had a spelling test today, and I got all the words right! And then we played tag during recess. It was so much fun!"

Rentaro listened with a smile, glad to see her so happy. "That's great, Enju. I'm proud of you."

Just then, the door to the agency opened, and Accelerator walked in with his usual gruff expression. He glanced around the room, taking in the scene of domestic tranquility with a mixture of annoyance and mild curiosity.

"Hey, Accelerator," Rentaro greeted him, his tone friendly. "How's it going?"

Accelerator grunted in response, making his way to the kitchen to brew his coffee. Kisara watched him, her smile fading as she remembered the rumors she had heard earlier.

"Accelerator," she called out, her voice serious. "Can we talk for a moment?"

He turned to face her, his expression one of mild irritation. "What is it?"

Kisara sighed, folding her hands on the desk. "I've heard some rumors today. People are talking about a young man with white hair and red eyes helping the Cursed Children. That wouldn't happen to be you, would it?"

Accelerator's eyes narrowed, a flicker of anger passing through them. "I didn't do anything. But if people want to judge me for helping those kids, that's their problem. Just make sure they don't cross the line, or I won't hesitate to kill them."

Rentaro nodded, accepting Accelerator's words without hesitation. "Got it. We understand."

Kisara, however, shuddered at the seriousness in Accelerator's eyes. She had no doubt that he meant every word he said. "We'll be careful," she said softly. "But you should know that the situation is delicate. People's fear and ignorance make them dangerous."

Accelerator clicked his tongue in annoyance. "Yeah, well, they'd better keep their distance. I'm not here to play nice."

With that, he turned back to the kitchen, brewing his coffee with practiced efficiency. The tension in the room was palpable, but no one dared to break the silence.

Enju, sensing the unease, looked up at Accelerator with wide eyes. "Are you okay, Accelerator-san?"

He glanced at her, his expression softening slightly. "I'm fine, kid. Just tired of dealing with idiots."

She nodded, her small face serious. "I'm glad you're helping the Cursed Children. They need someone like you."

Accelerator's lips twitched in what might have been a smile. "Yeah, yeah. Now go enjoy your dinner."

As Enju and Rentaro set the table, Accelerator finished his coffee and headed to his room. The day had been long and filled with challenges, but he knew that there was still much to be done. The rumors and hostility of the people didn't matter. What mattered was protecting the children who needed him.

Kisara watched him go, her thoughts troubled. She understood the importance of what Accelerator was doing, but the potential fallout worried her. Still, she knew they had to stand by him. He was an invaluable ally, and his actions, while extreme, were driven by a sense of justice she couldn't ignore.

As Accelerator lay down on his bed, his mind churned with plans and strategies. The fight ahead was going to be brutal, but he was ready for it. He had faced worse before and come out on top. This world would be no different.

"Let them talk," he thought, a fierce determination burning in his eyes. "I've got work to do."

With that, he closed his eyes, the exhaustion of the day finally catching up to him. The battle for the Cursed Children's future was far from over, but he was ready to face whatever came next.

In the main room, Rentaro and Enju enjoyed their meal, the atmosphere lightening as they shared stories and laughter. Kisara joined them, her thoughts still lingering on Accelerator but finding comfort in the normalcy of the moment.

As the night wore on, the agency settled into a quiet calm. Each member, in their own way, was preparing for the challenges ahead. And in the shadows, Accelerator dreamed of a world where the Cursed Children could live without fear, knowing that he would do whatever it took to make that dream a reality.
