Maris staggered to her feet. She had no marionettes left to summon, no sealed spaces to trap Nyx, and no mana to use high level slepp. All she had now was her physical strength.

Nyx stood before her, an amused smile playing on her lips. Her eyes gleaming with a sadistic pleasure.

"Are you still trying?" Nyx's voice was soft, almost mocking. "Do you really think you can win?"

Maris didn't respond. She simply raised her hands, holy light gathering between her fingers, preparing for desperate attack. Her heart pounded in her chest, her mind focused on survival. She had to be with Lucan, she can't fall here.

Nyx's smile widened. "Foolish," she whispered.
